No worries! I’m always hoping our camera doesn’t disturb what other people are doing - so I’m sorry if we got in his way. Lyndsey did love her costume and a week later she actually got to wear it to see Hamilton! It was amazing. We did some filming, but I’m not sure yet whether we will make a vlog out of it or not. It was a fun surprise for our girls, and an amazing production.
Fun day guys. Palo looked amazing. So did Tiana’s and the Halloween party. I think Tiana’s is my favorite restaurant on the Disney ships. I wish they would bring that to magic kingdom. I know they are changing splash into a princess and the frog themed attraction. Oh that would be prefect

I haven’t yet been on a cruise, but from watching yours (and other) videos, it appears to be the PERFECT family vacation - especially with kids as old as yours, as Carrie said there is space for adult time and family time. Disney must do a terrific job keeping the kids busy and interested. The best of both worlds. Yum, dessert.
It is the BEST vacation we have been on. So great to each have our own time and lots of fun together too! We felt comfortable to let our girls go off in their own and then meet up later. You should definitely consider going on a Disney cruise 😁
@@AdventuresinMillerland I’m Adam’s Mom. I’ll wait for viewer cruise 4 or 5. Don’t want him to feel supervised, or for him to feel like he had to supervise me😊. It’s a new thing for this community - he learned a lot on this last trip, and will learn more on the next one, and the next. He will be more comfortable with all logistics, etc. by then. I’m not a Disney ‘geek’ but would choose Disney for the quality, relaxation, food and entertainment.

This was really enjoyable. All those places with great looking food! That place you guys had brunch at, good thing it was all you can eat because the portions looked fancy and small. Looking forward to the next video. We are planning a disney trip soon 😊. Last disney trip I made a "trailer" for our trip that I'm really proud of "Disneyland 35% Capacity" check it out if you haven't. Well...I never made the trip videos because I used a new mic and it sucked 😪. I'm ready this trip 😊

Thanks! For the tip, The great thing is pretty much all the tipping is done on the Disney cruise line navigator app now - every time you go to a lounge and get a drink or go to Cove Café to get coffee, or even at Palo. You don’t need to bring a lot of cash for tips on the ship, except for your regular server team and your stateroom attendant at the end of the cruise, if you want to give more than your prepaid gratuities. We were pretty generous with tipping this cruise because the capacity is much lower than normal and servers especially have less guests to eat tips from. Every server we had was amazing, including Adi, our server at Palo!! We usually default to 20% for tips, but we gave more because of what I said above. We hope to do dinner at Palo (or Remy?) next year on the Fantasy!

Lovely lunch!!! So nice to have time to yourselves! How much was the lunch at Palo? Do they have a lot of seafood and veg options? I know u didn’t like the seafood dish too much lol
Thanks! It was so great! Palo brunch is $45 a person and is 18 and over only. Great value for all we got! They did offer a red snapper fillet as one of the entree options, although we did not get that. They also have some breakfast options like pancakes, waffles and omelettes. The artichoke ravioli that we had did not have meat in it and it was amazing!!

Great Palo review! My favorite from there is the Artichoke Ravioli and Chads the Lasagna. But he also loves Egg Benedict's. I'm going to have to try that celery soup though and the egg plant dish. Yum! I also noticed that the desserts are bigger versions of what they used to have with the exception of the lava cake. The lava cake is brought out at the end as an extra. It's sooooo good. I'm curious though how the bigger versions taste because I didn't like them at all when they were on the buffet. Chad said they're probably better because they're not massed produced. I'm excited to give them a try for sure! Did you guys have first dining? I love Tianas! Excited to see the new lounge one day. Unpopular opinion (don't hate us lol) we didn't really like the beignets. They reminded us more of a fluffy donut more than an airy beignet like the ones at Jazz Kitchen Express at DL. But yesss! I love that sugar free Raspberry tart bomb! And it's cool to see that they still do the spider treat! I missed it on our first cruise because I got ill. Loved the costumes! Love Mango Ice Cream! I’m glad we tried all your favorites at Palo! They were amazing! All the desserts were good, but I wouldn’t say great. The entrees were fantastic though. It was really fun to try everything. I’m so glad they let you do that. For dinner, we actually had second dining - and we loved it. We’ll talk about that in a cruise wrap up video in a few weeks. As far as the beignets (this is Carrie) and my opinion is that they are not as good as the ones at Jazz kitchen. The ones at Tiana’s are better than the ones at French Quarter Lounge. Fantastic job on your stateroom door! You definitely would have no problem finding your door! Palo (Pa-lo/Pah-loh) rhymes with follow! The A in Italian is pronounced AH as in father! Exactly as Adam Legg pronounces it. Look for the San Marzano tomatoes that are DOP only. BTW, Z in Italian is pronounced TZ as in pizza and piazza! The "certified" San Marzano tomatoes are a scam just to charge more for them and there is also a brand called SM San Marzano which are actually grown in California and use that brand name to confuse the consumer and charge a premium! There is a brand called Cento which was known for their DOP San Marzano tomatoes, but now uses the term "certified" instead, again just to pull a fast one on consumers into thinking they are part of their DOP range so they can charge more! You may have to get them from an Italian gourmet shop if your local supermarkets don't have them. Thank you for sharing your day at sea!
I am so glad to see someone with older kids. I'm really interested to know how Lindsey liked Edge and/or Vibe. I also have 2 13yo boys and we have never sailed. I was glad to know that you can sign a waiver to bump your 13 yo up to the older club. The kids club looks amazing but I worry about the clubs that are age appropriate for them that they will not like them. I'm so interested to know if she went much and what she thought.

We will be coming out with a video looking at what it’s like to sail on Disney with young teens/preteen kids soon. They will be sharing their thoughts in that video, so we hope it’s helpful!
Wait for $40 each. That is not much. No rack of lamb or prime cut meat. Or escargo. I think I will make sure I check their menu before I pay an extra $40 for a meal. I will surely walk out and voice my complaint. I'm bringing my son and his family of 3 kids on July 2022 for 5 days cruise. I am spending close to $20, 000 on this trip my wife is OK with that, but I'm... 😬So Palo dinner better be worth it. 👀Sorry, we been to several cruises and the food was always great. We paid $20 extra for a lobster and prime ribs with one dinner that I like. Thank you so much for making this vedeo for us.
Hope this was helpful! I understand the hesitation if you aren’t sure what to expect. So this was brunch at Palo, which isn’t a steak and lobster type of meal, but everything was amazing!! Palo serves Italian cuisine. Look up the dinner menu online - cdn1.parksmedia.wdprapps.disney.com/dam/disney-cruise-line/onboard-activities/palo-restaurant/Palo-A-LA-CARTE-FINAL-1.pdf - to see if it is for you. They have a few options for dinner (both $45 per person pre fix menu and a la carte menu options).

Exactly as Adam Legg pronounces it. Look for the San Marzano tomatoes that are DOP only. BTW, Z in Italian is pronounced TZ as in pizza and piazza! The "certified" San Marzano tomatoes are a scam just to charge more for them and there is also a brand called SM San Marzano which are actually grown in California and use that brand name to confuse the consumer and charge a premium! There is a brand called Cento which was known for their DOP San Marzano tomatoes, but now uses the term "certified" instead, again just to pull a fast one on consumers into thinking they are part of their DOP range so they can charge more! You may have to get them from an Italian gourmet shop if your local supermarkets don't have them. Thank you for sharing your day at sea!

I am so glad to see someone with older kids. I'm really interested to know how Lindsey liked Edge and/or Vibe. I also have 2 13yo boys and we have never sailed. I was glad to know that you can sign a waiver to bump your 13 yo up to the older club. The kids club looks amazing but I worry about the clubs that are age appropriate for them that they will not like them. I'm so interested to know if she went much and what she thought.

Wait for $40 each. That is not much. No rack of lamb or prime cut meat. Or escargo. I think I will make sure I check their menu before I pay an extra $40 for a meal. I will surely walk out and voice my complaint. I'm bringing my son and his family of 3 kids on July 2022 for 5 days cruise. I am spending close to $20, 000 on this trip my wife is OK with that, but I'm... 😬So Palo dinner better be worth it. 👀Sorry, we been to several cruises and the food was always great. We paid $20 extra for a lobster and prime ribs with one dinner that I like. Thank you so much for making this vedeo for us.

Palo serves Italian cuisine. They have a few options for dinner (both $45 per person pre fix menu and a la carte menu options).
