Loving these frequent reviews. Love this dynamic pose, considering there is a few others that are the standard museum pose. Separates it from the others. Great piece!
Well the most dynamic ones are Dioramas so it's a nice change to have a colossus piece that shows his powers and strength! Thanks for the support mate

Couldn't agree more with the end of this... Favorite X-men character is Colossus. I had the sideshow colossus, because I'm from the states, but ultimately sold it. I have the XM Colossus and it is possibly the best piece I own. Just incredible. Its the best Colossus out there. Great review, guys!
Thanks mate! I am glad someone with some honesty is talking here! Sideshow can hit some winners but this is a top xm piece and top sideshow vs top xm is a mismatch at best so a top tier xm vs a mediocre to poor piece is a hilarious conversation. Congratulations on the pick up man
Awesome piece Geo.. Only gripe i have on this is the cables attach to light fixture have no tension to them..I get it that he's getting ready to throw it..Very hard to get it to look right in a statue.
I have posed it that way. You can make it look that way if you want it to but the science behind his motion does not support your preference. If you are about to roll and smash something down on cables they will not be taught at the stage this motion is at. It would be at the top of the movement as you stop its momentum from going up to crashing down.

The only thing that bothers me about this statue, is that the lines on his body
dont line up.
We cover that.. it feel like to be functional the lines would be unique to each muscle
I like this piece, I would say it most likely the best 1/4 scale [licensed] x-men piece out there. The overall presence it has serves the character well and how sparingly they've done the the lines between the armour plates has worked well to bring out the underline sculpt.
I think with things like the cable, they should look to alternative materals like they did with the Punisher, with the rubber hands. I would feel extemely uncomfortable having to heat my own piece to get it to fit togther - I'd worry about screwing it up.
Ironstudios did the punisher rubber hands not xm. Rubber hands would wear down against the coarse metal cables so that's a terrible idea. If you are not up for having to adjust or work with these materials I suggest either only buying very simplistic designs (still no guarantee) or not buying statues at all. The variables with heat and the materials used in these pieces make it likely you will need to adjust something somewhere in your collecting journey. We've had to drill sideshow bases, file down pegs, heat things, wash things you name it
@@GeoManRaddTitan I hear ya. On the material side of things: I see what you're saying, I just think that not all pieces need to be 100% resin, for example, to work. I know I bought up rubber, but it was just as an example of an alternative material working on a premium statue. I still think the Colossus works fantastically, overall though.
@@karlmoore1837 it's an impossible fix really as anything that is not the same or equal hardness will end up destroying the other! It's like rings on a finger! If 1 is a softer metal than the other it wears away slowly but surely

Really enjoyed this review guys, mostly because I haven’t seen many reviews on the XM Colossus. FYI this filming layout is awesome. White background, each of you on either side of the statue, and the statue framed right in the middle of the screen taking up the whole screen- looks perfect🔥. Great mix of editing with close ups. I always enjoy listening to you guys give your take, but with the extra video production quality, these reviews let us know exactly what you are seeing. Many of us will never see these pieces in person, so I appreciate the extra effort. Fuck yeah RADDTITAN 🙌. Now let’s see Hulk Transformation review , a piece I also own Geo🤙

This is a very cool piece indeed. I have the SS which I'm personally happy with it but this one has a lot more going on. Having never seen it in person it's hard to get a good comparison but I'll take your word for it. Congratulations on another great review guys!

I dont see the size of it as a con to be honest! It's not crazy deep which helps display wise! There is honestly no real con's of which to speak. It's an exceptional piece

Great review and the lines don’t distract me because I had koto smaller colossus which had the same lines to match his muscle not straight lines so I prefer the style xm did cheers
Much more functional and appealing to the eye. The lines going across the body in straight lines looks OK but I love this take on it
Agreed. The pose on sideshow colossus is so damn boring and isn't even a good representation of his powers. XM blows it out the water
I almost bought the sideshow version and when I got there and seen it in person I hated it. Pictures actually make if look OK in person it's awkward and the sculpt is very imbalanced for a bel sculpt. It's not close

Sideshow's Colossus, although simpler, is better than the XM one. My opinion.
Lol have you seen both in person? I have and you are very wrong. Unless you are not judging them by sculpt, paint, pose, edition size, base design, engineering, build quality! Then you maybe right
@@GeoManRaddTitan I’ve seen both in person. It’s just a matter of personal preference. This was a case of when “less is more” to me. I still think the XM one is an amazing, of course.
@@maverickslb80 your right.... less of a sculpt, less of a concept, less of a quality paint. Less does not beat more ever unless the less you have is better than the more. There is not one part of that ss that beats this not in any category. I understand the colossus ain't a big character for me so I went cheaper and I'm happy but tell me ss better and it screams of deluded bitterness
@@GeoManRaddTitan believe me, I love Colossus, he’s on my top 3 favorite X-Men characters. To tell you the truth the one thing that really bothers me about the XM version (and I know you’ll find this to be a stupid nitpick) is his teeth. According to the comics EVERY organ of his body turn into metal. That means he shouldn’t have flesh gums or normal teeth when transformed into metal shape. Those teeth (beautifully designed) should be in the metal form. But like I said it’s an amazing statue, with the high quality XM always delivers.
@@maverickslb80 lol well actually only in the deadpool film are his teeth metal. In comics he is depicted with normal teeth and gums.
