I was 15 when Harvey was killed. He brought about a change that affected me personally. Coming out as an adult was a challenge but learned to keep my wits about me. I'll never trade that experience to anything!
I was in San Fransisco when Harvey Milk was Campaining I should have been in class Art History in CCA at the time. But I really wanted to hear Him speak it was more important around 11:30 AM. I Had a button and a post card from Harvey He handed to me me. I said' I approved of Gay Rights' and He handed me a button and and a postcard, and I talked with Harvey Milk about 10 minutes And I kept the Button. Then went on with my day.Of course . I was shocked Mayor Mosconey was Shot AsWell as Harvey Milk. I also marched in the evening with a candle and cried it was such a tragedy
I was at his shop earlier this year when I took a trip down to San Francisco from my home in Portland. The shop is now a art gallery for young artist in the area. Standing in the former shop you could almost feel the man’s presence. I also felt his presence as as Moscone in City Hall. It was tragic to lose then but Harvey is very much a hero to me. Heck both of them are
I was 17 myself when Harvey was murdered... I'm now 63. This man opened so much for me to come out in 1978..at my grad believe it or not. Thank you Harvey Milk. 💝💐🏳️🌈
Harvey Milk had relationships with men who were significantly younger than him. Notably, his relationship with Jack Galen McKinley, who was 16 years old when they first met, took place in New York. Milk was in his mid-30s at the time. During this period, the age of consent in New York was 17, making McKinley under the age of consent at the start of their relationship. No legal charges were brought against him during his lifetime.
Moscone's daughter held me as a baby. His and Harvey's slaying never forgotten. Sean did a great job. RIP to all.
RIP Diane Feinstein

I was 10 when Milk was murdered, but he definitely helped me live my life openly & honestly.

I was 12 years old when Harvey Milk and George Moscone were assassinated. Even at that age, I didn't buy the Twinkie Defense.
And on this day Diana has Pass away
Now there should be a movie or mini series about the aids struggle in this city
Aids can effect anyone not just gay people
There are many fine movies about it.
@@vampsarecool I never said it didn't.

Where do you draw the line? Ancient Greece was rife with this sort of thing.
@BossySwan what is your point?
wow!
Gay people are awesome! I know I'm a Phish fan because I'm gay for Trey.
Trailblazer
Because American society generally is in such a better place now than then. Please!
It is.
The film doesn't portray scenes when Harvey had sexual relationships with underage boys.
The film wasn't a documentary.
Harvey Milk was a chomo
Dan White fought to try to keep San Francisco from turning into what it is today, but sadly just went about it the wrong way.
We really got Dan White apologists out here 💀
Yeah he wanted to turn San Francisco into alabama 🤮
That’s the most insane comment i’ve ever read
If milk says it's all about everybody, WHY DID HE FOCUS ON JUST THE HOMOSEXUALS???
He was a gay man himself, and he was an activist at a time when rights for LGBT people were far fewer than they are now
One could identify this era as the eventual societal decline.
Only if you’re a bigot
@@justinbowen2509 . . .and the cry baby left name calling. No surprise.
Why is the right always so ignorant?
Same sex attraction is common among mammals. People are mammals.
Heil Dan White!🤚🏻
