Love the honesty and all the real things that go on in our minds that people don't say out loud. I'm also a small business owner with a full-time job. ❤
I think selling the melts with a burner would probably be a good idea; it'll increase the overall transactional value and make for a really nice gift. You're also dealing with the obstacle of needing a burner to use them.
Great video. Narrating while making candles in the background is really effective - probably the best format I've seen from you so far. Congratulations on your sales, and thank you for sharing your experience
Awesome, thank you! Glad you liked it, can never work out if it's going to be boring ASF or not... Unfortunately it's a glimpse into the chaos of my mind and spare room haha! Cheeeeers :)
Great vlog, I love when you go on your dog walks and get philosophical and deep. I too have a dog and my walks in the morning are the best, alone with my thoughts and ideas, it’s the best time of the day for me and I can totally relate to how you feel. Really well done on your sales figures. Your drive, commitment and determination is really paying off. You work so hard you deserve to do well. I’m just starting on my journey, excitement is pulling me through, self doubt sneaks in now and again but I’m learning to ignore and continue on my journey. Look forward to your next vlog 🤗🤗🤗
I really enjoyed this! Can totally related to the winter time. Although I’m Australian and used to a lot of sunshine and warm weather, season depression is real and it sets in for me over June and July every year without fail. I’ve not thought to sell on Amazon before although I was approached to by a rep so that’s something I want to look into! Thanks so much!
Thanks for the comment, yes amazing how much weather can affect you! Amazon is a a great platform but the fees are a lot, so make sure your costings are on point... but it scales like nothing else.
Just subscribed as I find your content so relateable! I'm in a very similar journey, I quit drinking, I'm making candles on the side looking to make this my full time thing and your content is very inspirational to me. Thanks for that and please keep it coming!
Thanks for subbing! Aw thanks, glad you liked it, it's what I want to provide relatable content that doesn't feel out of reach. Good luck with your candles, well done for stopping the booze, life is better sober :)
Hi Jason, I am so glad you sold so many candles 🎉 thank you for sharing your journey ❤ I just ordered your book candle and am so excited to try it and compare to mine 😊
Hi I buy all sorts of wax depending on my needs, I do melt some paraffin and add a bit of soy wax into it, and for my glass jars I've been using SCX in the past, C6 & something else that eludes me at the moment haha. It's best to try various waxes and see what works for you, not all fragrance oils are great either. So if you're struggling for hot throw it could be the oils too, so you'll need to test various options and just see. Not that you asked that but it might be helpful :)

Thank you so much 😀
Have you ever had a problem with discoloration due to vanillin in fo with your candle tins? If so, how did you resolve this?
No don't think I've had much of an issue with discoloration ? Sometimes different fragrances can add a slightly yellow hue but I quite like it.
How much do you sell your candles for if you mind answering? New to you and have never made a candle…yet…😂
15 - 17 per candle, depends where! Thanks for watching.
Do you blend your own wax blend?

@ thanks for the advice, I’m currently in the testing phase, testing different waxes, wicks, fragrances trying to find the what works best for me
