both versions are equally unique. Hugh’s was more emotional & heartwarming, but Zac’s had a chill, country, upbeat vibe. either way i’m living for these covers🌟
On the entire Greatest Showman Reimagined album, I hands down prefer all the original renditions... EXCEPT maybe this one. I think for all the other songs, they work so good as a big, bombastic, emotional broadway production. But this one... something about coming back home to your roots and your family... it works so well as a country song. The fiddles absolutely sing. Zac Brown Band really nailed this one.
When I had heard that Zac Brown Band was doing by favorite song from the Greatest Showman I was really iffy about it. Now, I'm completely obsessed with it. Zac's vocals are incredible and the rest of the band blends so beautifully. I can beautifully hear Clay, Jimmy, John, Chris, and all the other members play and it's beautiful.
I don’t think a better group could’ve been chosen to sing this song, Zac Brown band has always been able to tell a story through there songs like no one else
This has a chill and reminiscing vibe, while Jackman's version was more of the "on the present" and emotional. I don't understand why people compare the two-- both are AMAZING AS HELL 😍
I love this version of this song. It's not a song about love (in the film it definitely was however there was more context in it) however it is of rememberance from where you come from. Which. In itself without the film it is a brilliant song.
This had a real southern/blues/country feel to it and I absolutely LOVED it!!! This one and "come alive" were the best reimagined songs by far for the album!!! I sang along the whole time, just ahhh this movie/story makes me so happy!!!!
I really liked it too! It was very clearly reimagined, but in a way that allowed the musicians to make it their own whist also honouring and remaining true to the original take. A fantastic example of remix culture, A+. P.S. I thought it sounded more indie folk, but I'm not familiar with the band (probably because theyre country ;p) and country music sounds _wildly_ different in my country of origin, so what do I know about it, lol.
@@Getfarmed420 Could be. I think "indie folk" because that's the closest frame of reference that matches their style; I'm neither American nor do I know what that genre sounds like, so you're probably in a better position than me to judge. :)
Zac Brown Band like to refer to their music genre as “flip flop music”. It’s a good blend of country, folk, bluegrass, rock and pop. Great vibes for sitting on a beach, toes in the water, ass in the sand, not a worry in the world, a cold beer in your hand. ;)
Always sad when this song ends so have to hit the redo button to listen to it again and again and again and again ..... what is it about this song? The voice and /or the instrumental part? i don't know exactly but it's GREAT
Honestly this is the only song that felt truly "reimagined". The others are pretty much the same just with different/popular singers. This one gives it this completely different and beautiful country cover and it works sooo well.
Mumford and sons aren't real country though, they're a pop band playing dress up as a country band, Zach Brown band are an actual country band so it's a no brainer why they got it and mumford weren't even asked 😂

Love this but i just can’t forget hugh sang this after his operation and even the stitches reopened. That man is the epitome of hardwork. I loved and adored him when he was a wolverine but now I respect him for how much hardwork he put in this movie.
What a brilliant song this is, for me this version has a ton of soul more than the original. One of those rare moments that a cover absolutely kills the original. Love the harmonies at the end. Fantastic.
This version makes me think of someone who left their rural/country home for the 'lights' or the promises of a city life, and realized their true place of belonging is in their roots. Like, this is probably what they would sing in their pick-up-truck, with a piece of hay in their mouth and visions of their loved ones and childhood memories floating around in the sky, as they drive along the narrowed country road to home. :)
This is my most favorite song in TGS... What Hugh does in this song still give a goosebumps... And I still believe even a broadway singer can't sing the high note/pitch "from now on" word that Hugh does... Zac Brown Band does change this song to their style and it sound great...
It's a G#. Most tenors can sing to the C above that easily, and even higher. Hell, I know Baritones with A's and B's. So yeah, it's a great song but most trained singers could hit that note fairly easily.
That just what I want to believe and believe Hugh are great in this song, in his version... Even Rami version not so much and he in broadway but I praise Peter Hollens... He does sang this song great... This song not quite famous... If there has many version of this song, maybe it can change what I believe... Most of cover are group/choir... 😀😀😀
Nah... You hear Jordan voice and Hugh voice... There has different tone from both of them... Hear the original, then decide who's voice was that... Jordan from the video BTS, he just trained together.. It originally Hugh...
I absolutely am soooo glad I bought the Re-imagined CD on Thanksgiving. I drove home on Saturday singing along to this CD and I think these guys did a fantastic job covering it. Love the country feel of this. I love Zac Brown Band. I was really hoping the entire band would join in or something to make it feel like the movie, and they did. Good job reimagining this one!

People who were comparing this with the original sure don't know the meaning of "Reimagined". It's ok if you dont like it, but don't compare it with the original, cause the album name is "Reimagined".
That makes no sense at all. The fact it's reimagined is because it's trying to be different from the original, which makes it a prime reason to compare it to the original. People not liking it over the original is perfectly reasonable. Telling people they're not allowed to dislike this over the original because it's "reimagined" is what is perfectly *unreasonable* and makes no sense at all. Opinions are just that. It's personal taste. It doesn't matter why somebody did their own rendition of a song, the definition of an opinion stays the same.
@@Elliaforever Sir, i never said that people are not allowed to dislike this over the original. In fact, i said that "it's ok if you don't like it" as you can read in my comment above. And yes, it's personal taste. It doesn't matter you like it or not, it's fine, no problem at all. But the album name is "Reimagined", and like you said, it's trying to be different, it's supposed to be different from the original. You know the purpose of this album. So, when it's trying to be different from the original, why do people compare it? Both parties have their own opinion. People can say this Reimagined is good or not, but are they supposed to compare it with the original when the purpose of this album is trying to be different from the original? Why do people compare two things that are supposed to be different? Think about it. I think, people can compare the cover version with the original when it's 'trying to be same or better than the original' in various ways. But if it's 'trying to be different', why do people compare it? And beyond that, you must know that personal taste is fine until people often talk shit when they're talking about their "personal taste". You might not do it, but you can meet this type of people everywhere when they're comparing any cover song with the original version. Don't get me wrong here, if you ask me, I actually always prefer the original version of a song rather than any of its cover. Not because i compare them, but because i appreciated those who created the original more than people who did cover on it. People who created the song first, the original one, definitely put more effort than people who did cover on it, like they made the lyric, tone, rhythm, music, etc before someone else did. That's why i always prefer the original version of a song rather than any cover of it.
Nana Maulana I mean, the original version does feature instruments that are often associated with country like a mandolin and guitars. It definitely fits as a country song.
I can imagine a very lively and happy music video, with all the musical instruments playing together. Especially the violin!! I appreciate every part of it. I love this! 😍❤️
This is one of those songs that no matter the artist, time period, or genre (opera, country, heavy metal, lullaby, whatever) it's relevant, emotional, and timeless. If I wore hats I'd have to tip mine not just at the ZBB or Hugh Jackman, but also the original writers of this song.
"but when i stop and see you here i remember who all this was for" THAT LINE ALWAYS GOT ME LIKE ASLDNXKS. btw, I ALSO LOVE THIS ONE. its so calming and heartwarming
I feel like the message of this song is absolutely perfect for country music, the concept of getting back to your roots and “coming home again.” I love both versions though.
Not a fan of country? I hate when people say that ... if you like MUSIC you should be fan of country ... country music created some of the best guitar players of all time & some of the best song writers in the world! Without country music there would be a huge hole missing in “ music “ ✌🏻🎸
But you can say this bout most every genre. I mean lots of people don't like jazz or blues but without them rock would have been vastly different. Music is massively interconnected and without each part, none of the rest would sound the same. But that doesn't change that some people don't like most music in some genres I don't like rap but I'll listen to a fair amount of it in the right conditions, eg you put old school Eminem on
both versions are equally unique. Hugh’s was more emotional & heartwarming, but Zac’s had a chill, country, upbeat vibe. either way i’m living for these covers🌟

I agree that people shouldn't directly compare the different versions but people are allowed to state their opinions
@@nathanaelzio4209 I agree
Zac Brown Band does not disappoint on this version of the song
I like how it became a country song
Nana Maulana I mean, the original version does feature instruments that are often associated with country like a mandolin and guitars. It definitely fits as a country song.
I can imagine a very lively and happy music video, with all the musical instruments playing together. Especially the violin!! I appreciate every part of it. I love this! 😍❤️
This song is perfect for Zac Brown Band I love this version more than the original
I'm a fairly well spoken, educated middle-aged man and all I can say is: WOW!
Gosh, I love Zac Brown Band, completely transformed the song
I like both versions, prefer the original ofcourse, but this is an amazing version
Ugh this makes my soul so happy!! Absolutely wonderful! The original makes me cry and this one makes me cry just as much!
Man, this is a really good country song. I really like it
This is one of those songs that no matter the artist, time period, or genre (opera, country, heavy metal, lullaby, whatever) it's relevant, emotional, and timeless. If I wore hats I'd have to tip mine not just at the ZBB or Hugh Jackman, but also the original writers of this song.
I was today years old when I found out they did a version of the song.
"but when i stop and see you here
i remember who all this was for"
THAT LINE ALWAYS GOT ME LIKE ASLDNXKS. btw, I ALSO LOVE THIS ONE. its so calming and heartwarming
Love that lyric 😍 like when days are hard but then I look at my kid and it all makes sense 💓
I feel like the message of this song is absolutely perfect for country music, the concept of getting back to your roots and “coming home again.”
I love both versions though.
Really loving the fiddle addition here! Great cover
i've always imagined this to be a country song
Literally I was saying a year ago they could turn this into a country song 😂
Joyce Abad it’s a country-pop song really
I always imagined the Lumineers redoing it
Like Alex said, it was a country song. Country pop.
@dukedoll1 I always imagined Rascal Flatts or Little Big Town doing this song
I’ve been listening to ZBB for a few years now, but when I saw that they were singing this song I screamed. YES! This is amazing.😍
is it only me who love this version more than the original one? :/
I do too!
Same same
I kind of disagree- but either way this is a nice version
No I do❤️
Same
The thing is the original is epic in its own right, but the take on the song this way is epic in its own right
Not a fan of country? I hate when people say that ... if you like MUSIC you should be fan of country ... country music created some of the best guitar players of all time & some of the best song writers in the world! Without country music there would be a huge hole missing in “ music “ ✌🏻🎸
But you can say this bout most every genre. I mean lots of people don't like jazz or blues but without them rock would have been vastly different. Music is massively interconnected and without each part, none of the rest would sound the same. But that doesn't change that some people don't like most music in some genres I don't like rap but I'll listen to a fair amount of it in the right conditions, eg you put old school Eminem on
You're entitled to your own opinion about music as I am to mine bud.
Omg this version is sooooo good
This is my favorite version
This is my favorite song from The Greatest Showman
No matter how many times I listen to this damn song, I still can’t get enough of it....I have a bit of an issue lmao
Greatest compliment
