Thanks for this collection, David. The first one really resonates with me - what's going to make me roar is such a great frame to write anything in. Enter the flow state, forget how long you've been writing for and get lost in whatever it is you are writing because it makes you roar with passion - and that sense bleeds into the prose and the audience are receptive to it. thankyou

Strategy 2, aka 'focused vs diffused mode' is huge. You generally want to continuously cycle between general and specific when thinking or learning, I can definitely see it being a great strategy for writing.

I think you will find that Acts of Apostles are definitely not written by Paul. Most scholars think that it was likely the same writer as Luke.

"As long I have the permission to bring that into my personal experience, then it can roar. That's a word I think a lot about. What's going to make me roar?"
    - David Perell
There is no successful writer or story teller in history, that wasn't gripped by something. It is only in that moment, that deep grip of interest and euphoria, writers can capture and share their soul on paper. And in that diligent work, they can connect with millions of people who feel the same exact thing, but have no outlet, no avenue, and no voice to express, share, and love that feeling.
But the writer, with his or her work, gives the reader the permission to feel it, express it, and embody it.
    Explore it.
    And grow from it.
