The video is so clear and crisp! Thank you for sharing your journey with us. My first semester starts in January and i will definitely study those previous exams for the patho midterm
Hi thank you so much for making follow up updates! Could you give any recommendations on what you would do different time management wise focus here less there? In considering starting 09/2024
Hi! Im not sure how to answer your question correctly😭 only because everyone’s program plan is different and I’ve only done GE’s this semester (I list them in a separate video). My first nursing core semester is next sem (May) and I’ll be giving updates on the classes as time goes on. Best advice for time management is look ahead in the week to plan how much homework/time you’ll need to finish them. Focus on the work that has a hard deadline first. I hope this helps!
Hi! Yes you can work while during the program lots of other students do and have to like me lol. It’s is online BUT there are clinical you have to travel out of state for if you’re a California learner. Clinicals are a week long once a semester. Except for your last semester the clinicals are 3-4 weeks longs out of state which is the preceptorship!
Hi! I work full time and do homework after I get off at 5pm until 1am/2am Monday-Friday. Then Sat and Sun lol I’m doing more homework and studying! My job is really great with approving my PTO for school as long as I have the hours for it :) they are very supportive with furthering my education.
I took college Algebra at UOP once I heard the horror stories about taking it at Nightingale College I said nope will not be taking it here lol. You got this I passed all my classes and I’m ready for the next semester
Hey, how was the clinical portion? How often do students have to go to clinicals? I know you just started. Not sure if you have the answer but I was watching a video on one young man stated that he go to clinicals once a month for five days or is it once every semester for five days?
Hi! So yes I just started and I passed the 2 HESI's allowed for LVN's to take which took out 2 classes that required clinicals. Meaning I won't actually have to travel for any clinicals until my 3rd semester between Sep- December. Yes it is a week long and its not once a month its during the semester in week 10 I believe. Realistically it's once a semester for a week until the very end when its 3-4 weeks long for Preceptorship. I hope I can explained it well enough lol
Future lpn thinking about nightingale here! Did your GI bill cover the bulk? I’ll be transferring all but 3 pre-reqs and hopefully will be testing out of classes.
hey! if you're at 100% of the GI BILL then it shoud be all covered. Mine was not fully covered because I have a full schedule of taking 5 classes per semester and the GI BILL private school cap is $27k. I have to pay $1k out of pocket in my last semester. Hope this helps! if you have more q's I'm active on my IG so feel free to message me there!
Hi Jennalyn! I am doing research on the Nightingale College BSN program as a potential student. Do you mind me asking what your projected graduation time is? I'm trying to plot the fastest way possible for me. 😅
Hey! I’m graduating August 2025. Everyone’s program plan is different but as long as you have all your pre-requisites done and if you’re an LVN and pass the 2 HESI exams you’re looking at 4-5 semesters Good luck! ☺️
Do you think it’s helpful being an LVN already and then going to the LVN to BSN program? Do you think it would be too much to understand if you just have a hs diploma ( no pre reqs) I’m considering nightingale to start in September…. Also, how much work/ assignments is there each week for all assignments total? I have kids and work so I am trying to make sure full time would work with my schedule before signing 😅up
I don't think it would be too much to understand because at one point I also started with just a hs diploma and I survived lol. It does take time to get use to the medical terminology and the critical thinking part of nursing but repetition will help and the clinicals will also help make it all make sense! I'm more familiar with nursing by being an LVN in my opinion so personally I would say it does help me understand the material a bit better. GOOD LUCK and I hope this helps!!!
I’m taking GE’s right now so it’s Pathophysiology Western Civilization College Algebra English 311 Nutrition It’s alot of work but definitely doable! It’s completely normal to be nervous! I feel like I’ll be anxious and nervous until I graduate lol
@@student_jenn i just started with Nightgale and im currently taking Nutrition, pathophysiology and English 311. I feel so overwhelmed already. Can i ask how did you study for Pathophysiology? Any apps you used? Im trying to get through the 1st chapter and it's not sticking.
@@bat29950 Pathophysiology was tough for me but watching animated videos on youtube helped me understand better than reading plain text! I'm a visual learner and tactile so I would draw figures as well. I hope this helps and good luck!
Hey Jenn…I start September 3rd at nightingale! I pushed back them trying to get me to start in May…(too soon) my only concern is the pay. Do they expect that $60 to 70,000 to be paid completely off by the time you graduate? Or do they expect some “school loan debt”?
Hi! I’m sorry but don’t have experience in this because im using the GI BILL for financial assistance but! I would reach out to your financial advisor they’d have more information on payment plans. Congrats and Good luck with your nursing journey!
I don't share my personal email sorry! but I do have an instagram @student_jenn that's deticated to nursing school if you can message me there. I haven't gotten the chance to create another email for this channel because I feel like it be too overwhelming

@@jasminlara3448 it’s a lot of work! Lol it’s 15 assignments due each week plus a quiz 💀

No just for college college algebra from what I’ve done

With the test and quiz are they timed? And did they offer study guides ?
Yes! All the exams are timed and the quizzes for college algebra I was able to have a sheet of notes. For pathophysiology there was a study guide!
Hi Jen I was wondering if you were an LVN and if you had any or all your pre-reqs done?
Hi! I am an LVN and had most of my pre-reqs done before starting. I completed 6 other pre-req courses with Nightingale 😊
@@student_jenn thank you! 😊 good luck sweetheart!!!
How many semesters do you have total? I hear LVNs get 4-6 terms depending on what they transfer in & test out of so just curious 😊
Hi! Mine is 5 semesters, tested out of 2 HESI's and transfered 54 college units
