Love that you are sharing your progress, this program seemed to be hidden in the depths of the unknown. Thank you for your time and keeping us updated!
Girl thanks for your hard work . I have a question for the skill exam is it just skill then you verbalize what you doing? And do you have to take anything I written? Please get back to me when you can
@@yluc7628 hey! So you will be performing skills as if your completing it on a patient. Safety is priority so they will make sure you do it right; step by step during skills assessment on the last day.
I love that I found you and you’re active with posting about this school at the perfect timing I’m currently trying to write the application essay is there any tips you can give ❤️
I'm glad to be watching your video posts, helps the nerves. i watched one of the early ones when you talked about just applying and how long the paperwork can take. omg.. so glad i watched. yes it is normal to take 4*months to get into the program, certain parts take forever!!! I'm hanging on waiting to see if I start May, slid back many times because something didn'[t get there or they couldn't track it, glad I have all my confirmations to hand back to them. so still waiting but i know once I start it will go fast. i look forward to it. Thanks for all the helpful insights.
I want to attend WGU pre-licensure BSN program. My biggest fear is I won’t be able to get hired after completing the program in a hospital to work as a nurse. I’ve been looking for past students who work as nurses and how their experience was landing a job as a new RN. I can’t find any. Do you have any insight on this? Congrats on all your hard work, I appreciate your videos! 🎉
your videos are super helpful!! i'm looking into this school but i'm just scared that i won't get enough learning hands-on experience as if i were on campus at a school. do you feel like you've been given enough time to perfect your skills during labs and feel prepared when you go into clinicals?
@@Cupcake0837 starts off very slow but by the end of the program you’ll be wishing you were at home lol because the required hours increase the deeper you get into the program. One thing I will tell you is that I have never went into a clinical rotation, not being confident in what I was doing. I definitely feel like the hands-on time that I get is essential and super helpful for me as a future nurse!
Thank you for continuing to post your experience with WGU! It’s nice to see how you’re enjoying it and doing great in the program 🤗 Quick question, I have 8 classes I need to complete. The 4 non transfer classes and 4 prerequisites such as algebra, physiology, Pathophysiology and chemistry. Did you take these classes through community college? I am debating where to complete these or if WGU offers a way to complete.
Thank you for watching! 🤍 I took algebra, statistics and patho and integrated science, which were all great for me! However if you can try to take chemistry on sophia bc I hear horror stories about the chem class!
Hey Britney how did you prepare for the HESI A2 Exam entrance. Do you have any materials types, I need help because I want to take it at the end of the this month. I don't know where to start please assist. Thank you in advance.
Not specific brands as long as it’s royal blue with your patch on it you can buy which ever you like! And honestly, I socialized the most when I was I got to lab! A lot of those people will stick with you throughout the program
Thank you for watching! 🤍 Labs 4 days consecutively and clinicals 6 (12 hr shifts) within three weeks within my first clinical term, next term will be the same but I may have 12 (12 hr shifts) because I’m taking 2 classes that requires clinicals MedSurg 2 and Woman/pediatrics.
Silly question😂but is the hands on lab assessment in front of your whole class or just an instructor. i STRUGGLE and do way worse under all that pressure lol
Thank you for watching! And lol I felt like that at first too because I didn’t see any videos on it when I first wanted to start, which is probably a year before I actually did but here is the link to all the tuition information just look under pre-licensure www.wgu.edu/financial-aid-tuition/tuition-nursing-health-degrees.html
Do you travel for labs? i saw on the website that if i live in north carolina (which i do) i would have to attend labs in florida, could you explain that? does that mean i travel to florida for the labs? 😅😢
Yes some people have to travel if a lab is not located in their state/city! In my case Houston has a lab so I have not personally travelled. But it would be only 2x throughout the entire program.

How did you get in contact with students in your classes/labs? Also is a specific scrub brand required?

How many labs do you have a semester?
Girl I've been in the program since May. How do you schedule your time to study or plan out your time and stay on track with courses?
Nice Video!
I know the program is 4years but did you have any credits?
