A pioneering concept of Creating Guardians for Life- After Life has been taking shape for families, who have a child or an adult with autism.
Autism Ashram and SimplyGive Foundation set up World's and India's first exclusive residential gated community for families, living with Autism in the outskirts of Hyderabad. While working with families like these and providing residential care under Autism Ashram, Dr A K Kundra (who has done his doctoral research on autism and ageing) observed that a large segment of parents live in constant stress, as they want to look after their special needs child till they are alive, yet they do not have any option to plan for their special needs child’s future needs.

With this recurring theme of need for life-time care accompanied with the need for a place where parents could grown old while the children bloomed into adults, led to the planning of Autism Guardians’ Village - where such families will move in and reside. All specialised interventions will be available in the community to ensure that autistic children and adults are well groomed to lead independent lives within the community under the care of their parents. And post their own lifetime, parents will be assured for a safe and predictable future for their children.
In 2020, Autism Ashram and SimplyGive Foundation set up World's and India's first exclusive residential gated community for families living with Autism. The campus spread in lush green surroundings in over 10 cares and has 83 Cottages with reserved cottages for the girl child and single mothers.
