    Treatments like these shouldn't even cost $10K ... It should be free... They never created this treatment to actually treat people instead they created it to make money out of it.. smh when I heard the treatment will cost 10k that really broke my heart.. so much for humanitarian

      Then you figure out how it works, research and develop what's happening here then give it away for free and perform the sensitive surgery on other people's brains while potentially opening yourself up to lawsuits if unfavorable results occur - for free.

    I hope I can get it. I have autism, and I just freaking HATE it. Having autism is like torture, because you struggle sooooo much internally. People want to say “don’t change them” and forbid anyone from getting help for their child, who will struggle with themselves much more as they get older. I wish I had my diagnosis earlier, I would’ve been doing so much better now, and I wouldn’t do some of the same, annoying crap that makes me cringe when others do it. Organic as much possible avoiding citric acid which is fermented in fungus. Only natural citric acid from lemonade but not added. No enriched foods. No sinthetic drinks no colorings, additives, preservatives, dyes. No processed foods and drinks in general. Homemade lemonade or orange juice. Low Oxalate diet is also important. I’m sorry but as a mum to an autistic child, WHY are people being treated for autism? Autism is a neuro condition. You’re attempting to change who a child is by doing this. Not only does that treatment look extremely uncomfortable for the child, but this is just utterly about compliance! “Don’t behave this way and you won’t need this treatment”. The child will learn to comply. That teaches children nothing other than their bodies are not their own and they must please the people around them. The same thing goes for ABA. I’m disgusted by this 😡

      @idrk1507 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Ok…. Then don’t do it.
      My brother had autism and it was so disadvantageous that he committed suicide. Autism is not to be idealised; it is no t a gift, it is not a superpower, it is not “who you are” (it’s just a condition).
      Autism is disadvantageous to life. Idealising it as if it’s a good thing, which it is not, is disgusting. Not the cure, but thinking it is good for someone

    • @mrsrock7641
      @mrsrock7641 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@idrk1507 I’m genuinely shocked that you’ve interpreted my comment as glamorous ideation of autism…
      Also, if you have a condition, regardless of what that condition is, then it IS who you are - especially if it’s something you’re born with! How is it not who you are when autism is neurological?
      I’m very sorry that you lost your brother. That is awful. But I can tell you that people with autism do not commit suicide because of autism - they do so due to lack of understanding from the people around them and the worlds lack of understanding of them in general.
      They ARE different. But that’s something that isn’t their fault and the wider population is to blame for a lack of acceptance of their differences.
      Do you think that by performing this type of treatment your brother may have been saved?

    • @idrk1507
      @idrk1507 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      1) Glamorisation by its definition is making something attractive or exciting. These is exactly what these politically correct know-it-alls say; “autism is a gift, it makes me see world in a different way”. Yea of course it makes you see the world in a different way. That’s exactly why it’s not good. The world doesn’t like people who deviate too much from the norm. That’s why *millions* of autistics suffer
      1) No, it’s not who you are (though, still a big part of who you are). That’s also what psychologists are aiming for sad diagnosed people to realise- that autism doesn’t dictate their personality, and that they should be hopeful because it’s not their full self
      Lastly, thank you for your condolences. I believe I reacted very emotionally to you, which was unfair to you. I’m still struggling with my poor brother’s loss

    • @mrsrock7641
      @mrsrock7641 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@idrk1507 in my personal opinion as the mother of an autistic child, who has the exceptional gift of photographic memory and is also exceedingly intelligent with mechanics of vehicles (he’s 8 years old by the way) - I can vouch that SOME of the things autistic people experience are gifts. Elon Musk is autistic, a lot of inventors and exceptional humans are autistic. It is their obsessions in some instances that make them gifted IF it’s channelled appropriately- that is to say, nobody around them makes them feel unworthy of exceeding in life just because they have a thing called autism.
      There are lots of difficulties that come hand in hand with autism - but it’s not all as bad as you may think and certainly isn’t something that can be cured. But we, as neuro-typical humans, should be striving to accept them. I find it really sad that there is even a ‘norm’. What a boring place this world would be if we all conformed to the same ideologies!
      I stand by what I say - if you are born autistic (which every autistic person is as it’s not something you suddenly get one day or contract), then it is who you are. Personality has many layers. If I took away my sons autism, he wouldn’t be the little boy I love so dearly. He wouldn’t be him. He wouldn’t have the interests and passions he has. So it IS who he is.
      I do hope you can come to terms with the loss of your brother. I’m so very sorry 😔 take comfort in it being because of the world we live in as opposed to him being autistic - humans who aren’t accepting don’t deserve the beauty that lies within most of the souls who walk this Earth. I hope you find peace ❤️

    I'm 31 but was born 4 or 5 weeks early so would be 30 still (I know there is also something called biological age - I don't know my biological age). Anyway, I've done a lot of Autism Screening Tests, they all say that I score high enough that they would recommend I go for a diagnosis. It sounds like I'm Level 1 (mild) autism. Anyway, the results from Autism Canada's Test said I got 38 and 30 to 50 was high risk. In order to get the treatment shown in the video, is it required to get a brain scan to see the electricity in the brain before getting treatment. Also, do you know if the treatment will eventually become available for adults? Do you know if a brain scan is all that would be needed to get the treatment or if a diagnosis is required.

I'm just sayn... there was accidental damage done to normal people who were then abandoned by the medical system due to a legal technicality based on where those EST machines were operated.
    Don't get me wrong, I'm all for helping kids have a better life but imagine going to a doctor about post natal depression after your 3rd child and ending up getting 11 hits of electricity to your head and sent home to your young family with no empathy but you do have OCD now and you take it out on your kids and baby. I'm horrified to see that parents are trying to change their children's brain instead of ADAPTING to their children's needs and wants. I'm 19 years old and autistic, if there's one thing I wish parents of autistic children would do is to try to understand your child. It would be more helpful to treat us like humans who function differently instead of freaks who need to be pitied and cured. You can try to change our behaviour but that does NOT remove our autism, instead it makes us struggle.

      Repeatedly hitting oneself indicates that the autistic person is overwhelmed and frustrated. This can be stopped by allowing them to communicate so that they can express their feelings and desires. Also by having coping mechanisms to prevent sensory overload.
      Just because someone is nonverbal doesn't mean they can't communicate. Often times autistic people prefer alternate forms of communication such as sign language, voice readers, and apps such as MyTalkTools where they can tap images to communicate.

      I agree this is really exciting for those with debilitating autistic traits (SH, nonverbal etc.) however I am hesitant to call autism a “problem”. Autism itself is not a problem. Neurotypical people only see autistic people as a problem because they don’t understand how we think and experience the world. As a result many neurodivergent (autistic, ADHD, etc) don’t really like neurotypical people because we are often seen as the problem and few people offer to understand, accommodate and befriend us; simply because we are different.
      Autism is just a different way of thinking and experiencing the world.
      If people could understand that, the world would be a better place for everyone.

    Autism is a mutation it is not possible to cure a mutation. The only treatment for Autism is therapy to learn how to live in a nerotypical world. I was not officially diagnosed with Autism dispite my doctor saying I definitely have it and was never given any kind of therapy. So, I grew up the hard way learning what is acceptable and what is not around nerotypicals. It took a lot of pain through trial and error, which could have been avoided with proper therapy. I am still very impulsive as a grown man but I don't act out on most of my impulsive thoughts. Relationships have been my worst and most painful struggle. Autistic love is totally different than nerotypical love. We love way more hardcore than any nerotypical could imagine. This is a serious problem when we get cheated on because it takes is years to get over it. It is difficult to gain our trust I do not like strangers and will usually avoid them if possible. It takes months for me to trust someone. Autistic love can sometimes be considered obsessive in the nerotypical world but we veiw it totally differently. At this point I am just looking for a women who will accept me as I am instead of me having to wear a fake person as a mask so people don't think I am weird.

    As a person with autism I'm not sure I like the sound of "treating" or "curing" or "saving" a person with autism. At least from my experience, thinking and interacting differently than neurotypicals can be a good thing and there is nothing wrong with that. I am so glad I was not diagnosed as a kid decades and was presented with some kind of "treatment" to make me more like everyone else. I'm glad to be who I am. If anything, the rest of society needs to cope better and support those who needs more support. Society, in my opinion, needs treatment, not autism.

    • @MonicaMosier1134
      @MonicaMosier1134 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don't take this the wrong way. But being that you're actually typing here and interacting with people you're definitely a different level of Autistic than my son. Autism literally hurts him daily. He's nonverbal, has broken almost every tooth out of his head his self, can't sit still for 1 minute, and Will probably never be able to be left alone for more than 5 minutes at a time for the rest of his life. I don't believe in curing or treating autism as you put it I just believe in trying to find a way to make it where he can live his best life possible.

    • @derekkerr6158
      @derekkerr6158 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@MonicaMosier1134 I agree wholeheartedly with you. I can understand your experience. And sincerely hope for the best. I think we all want to do whats best. And that will be different for everyone. Also, I would not want to judge anyone else on their experience. I just wanted to provide a different point of view generally that it is a good thing that people are different. And that they think and act differently and that's okay. Diversity is a good thing. Fixing someone to make them like someone else should not be the rule. There are exceptions though. Those who for whatever reason, autism or not, need more help and support and even some type of treatment should receive it in my opinion. My fear was was that someone else who isn't as well educated or experienced with autism in general might misunderstand it as being broken or wrong somehow. That scares me a bit because I don't think that is true for anyone of any condition. But for those who would benefit and live a better life with some type of treatment, that's wonderful.
