I’m sorry but as a mum to an autistic child, WHY are people being treated for autism? Autism is a neuro condition. You’re attempting to change who a child is by doing this. Not only does that treatment look extremely uncomfortable for the child, but this is just utterly about compliance! “Don’t behave this way and you won’t need this treatment”. The child will learn to comply. That teaches children nothing other than their bodies are not their own and they must please the people around them. The same thing goes for ABA. I’m disgusted by this 😡
Ok…. Then don’t do it. My brother had autism and it was so disadvantageous that he committed suicide. Autism is not to be idealised; it is no t a gift, it is not a superpower, it is not “who you are” (it’s just a condition). Autism is disadvantageous to life. Idealising it as if it’s a good thing, which it is not, is disgusting. Not the cure, but thinking it is good for someone
@@idrk1507 I’m genuinely shocked that you’ve interpreted my comment as glamorous ideation of autism… Also, if you have a condition, regardless of what that condition is, then it IS who you are - especially if it’s something you’re born with! How is it not who you are when autism is neurological? I’m very sorry that you lost your brother. That is awful. But I can tell you that people with autism do not commit suicide because of autism - they do so due to lack of understanding from the people around them and the worlds lack of understanding of them in general. They ARE different. But that’s something that isn’t their fault and the wider population is to blame for a lack of acceptance of their differences. Do you think that by performing this type of treatment your brother may have been saved?
@@mrsrock7641 1) Glamorisation by its definition is making something attractive or exciting. These is exactly what these politically correct know-it-alls say; “autism is a gift, it makes me see world in a different way”. Yea of course it makes you see the world in a different way. That’s exactly why it’s not good. The world doesn’t like people who deviate too much from the norm. That’s why *millions* of autistics suffer 1) No, it’s not who you are (though, still a big part of who you are). That’s also what psychologists are aiming for sad diagnosed people to realise- that autism doesn’t dictate their personality, and that they should be hopeful because it’s not their full self Lastly, thank you for your condolences. I believe I reacted very emotionally to you, which was unfair to you. I’m still struggling with my poor brother’s loss
@@idrk1507 in my personal opinion as the mother of an autistic child, who has the exceptional gift of photographic memory and is also exceedingly intelligent with mechanics of vehicles (he’s 8 years old by the way) - I can vouch that SOME of the things autistic people experience are gifts. Elon Musk is autistic, a lot of inventors and exceptional humans are autistic. It is their obsessions in some instances that make them gifted IF it’s channelled appropriately- that is to say, nobody around them makes them feel unworthy of exceeding in life just because they have a thing called autism. There are lots of difficulties that come hand in hand with autism - but it’s not all as bad as you may think and certainly isn’t something that can be cured. But we, as neuro-typical humans, should be striving to accept them. I find it really sad that there is even a ‘norm’. What a boring place this world would be if we all conformed to the same ideologies! I stand by what I say - if you are born autistic (which every autistic person is as it’s not something you suddenly get one day or contract), then it is who you are. Personality has many layers. If I took away my sons autism, he wouldn’t be the little boy I love so dearly. He wouldn’t be him. He wouldn’t have the interests and passions he has. So it IS who he is. I do hope you can come to terms with the loss of your brother. I’m so very sorry 😔 take comfort in it being because of the world we live in as opposed to him being autistic - humans who aren’t accepting don’t deserve the beauty that lies within most of the souls who walk this Earth. I hope you find peace ❤️
That sounds amazing! Can you please share some more info ? How old was your child ? Was he completely non verbal before treatment or did he have some words?
I'm horrified to see that parents are trying to change their children's brain instead of ADAPTING to their children's needs and wants. I'm 19 years old and autistic, if there's one thing I wish parents of autistic children would do is to try to understand your child. It would be more helpful to treat us like humans who function differently instead of freaks who need to be pitied and cured. You can try to change our behaviour but that does NOT remove our autism, instead it makes us struggle.
What if an autistic child kept hitting himself allay and couldn’t talk and always frustrated what if they can’t send a text like yourself would u still hold the same view ?
@@stevekalamvokis5046 Repeatedly hitting oneself indicates that the autistic person is overwhelmed and frustrated. This can be stopped by allowing them to communicate so that they can express their feelings and desires. Also by having coping mechanisms to prevent sensory overload. Just because someone is nonverbal doesn't mean they can't communicate. Often times autistic people prefer alternate forms of communication such as sign language, voice readers, and apps such as MyTalkTools where they can tap images to communicate. There are the answers to your questions. My view remains the exact same. Stop dehumanizing autistic people.

Do you think maybe that all the terrible results of of the early electric shock therapy(EST) which were learned from to give us electro-convulsive therapy(ECT) should possibly be accounted for and apoligised for if any iatrogenic illness was suffered? As a person with autism I'm not sure I like the sound of "treating" or "curing" or "saving" a person with autism. At least from my experience, thinking and interacting differently than neurotypicals can be a good thing and there is nothing wrong with that. I am so glad I was not diagnosed as a kid decades and was presented with some kind of "treatment" to make me more like everyone else. I'm glad to be who I am. If anything, the rest of society needs to cope better and support those who needs more support. Society, in my opinion, needs treatment, not autism.
Don't take this the wrong way. But being that you're actually typing here and interacting with people you're definitely a different level of Autistic than my son. Autism literally hurts him daily. He's nonverbal, has broken almost every tooth out of his head his self, can't sit still for 1 minute, and Will probably never be able to be left alone for more than 5 minutes at a time for the rest of his life. I don't believe in curing or treating autism as you put it I just believe in trying to find a way to make it where he can live his best life possible.
@@MonicaMosier1134 I agree wholeheartedly with you. I can understand your experience. And sincerely hope for the best. I think we all want to do whats best. And that will be different for everyone. And that they think and act differently and that's okay. Diversity is a good thing. Fixing someone to make them like someone else should not be the rule. There are exceptions though. Those who for whatever reason, autism or not, need more help and support and even some type of treatment should receive it in my opinion. My fear was was that someone else who isn't as well educated or experienced with autism in general might misunderstand it as being broken or wrong somehow. That scares me a bit because I don't think that is true for anyone of any condition. But for those who would benefit and live a better life with some type of treatment, that's wonderful.

I agree this is really exciting for those with debilitating autistic traits (SH, nonverbal etc.) however I am hesitant to call autism a “problem”. Autism itself is not a problem. Neurotypical people only see autistic people as a problem because they don’t understand how we think and experience the world. As a result many neurodivergent (autistic, ADHD, etc) don’t really like neurotypical people because we are often seen as the problem and few people offer to understand, accommodate and befriend us; simply because we are different. Autism is just a different way of thinking and experiencing the world. If people could understand that, the world would be a better place for everyone.
Please stop, I’m begging you Autism is not a disease, it’s just your brain working differently We are not another species, we are simply just thinking a little different than you do Every single human is different and so is autistic people Did you know that almost all great scientists, historians, authors and so much more, had or have autism? He looked much more happy and extremely enthusiastic before and they show that footage as if it's a bad thing. Why would that be a "good" outcome. You cannot cure autism. You cannot treat autism. You can change behaviors, but that doesn't make the autistic person allistic. Going as far as to treat a happy person with a non-malignant set of traits with electromagnetic pulses to the brain is absolutely infuriating comparing that to consensual treatment by a depressed adult with treatment-unresponsive/resistant and very severe depression that is done under general anesthesia is wholly a logical fallacy and disgraceful that anyone would attempt to pass it off as comparable.
@UCRSqBrVXDT0TyC3Az-FxJMQ that is absurd. Fun fact: I was diagnosed with "low functioning" autism. I have a higher than average IQ. I am a bioengineering student going into health care. I also have very high-impact ADHD. Autistic people can learn and focus just fine with the appropriate support and even if that weren't the case, brain zaps are not warranted. You have been sadly very brainwashed about what autism is. Also, fun fact, autistic people actually have bigger brains with more brain cells than neurotypical people.
@UCRSqBrVXDT0TyC3Az-FxJMQ I also can talk and sleep and that doesn't require brain zaps even if I couldn't. Do you also zap people who are mute and expect them to talk? Do you also zap neurotypical people with insomnia?
@Wesley Hinson by definition in the diagnostic criteria, you cannot be cured of autism. If you are born autistic, you are always autistic, even if your presentation currently no longer would meet diagnostic criteria if first evaluated today because the criteria say if you EVER met criteria by history even if you don't presently, you are still autistic. Autism isn't a behavior and it doesn't require any curative measures. Behavioral challenges are not autism and it infuriates me when people say autism is dangerous because what about that autistic kid who bangs his head on the wall or throws things at other people. My follow-up to that is what about those neurotypical people who cut themselves and steal, bully and murder? Should we cure them of their neurotypical syndrome? Not all autistic people engage in harmful behavior just the same as how not all neurotypical people engage in harmful behavior yet we attribute the behavior to pathologize one neurotype and not another to justify seeking curative measures. Your nonverbal behavior is regarded as sophisticated and intelligent to understand "social cues" and when we use nonverbal communication, ours is regarded as unintelligent and a pathology. We don't understand your nonverbal communication fully, but fun fact, you don't fully understand ours either yet one is pathologized and the other is not. If people treated you like how the modern world treats autistics, you'd be banging your head on the wall too.

Autism is a mutation it is not possible to cure a mutation. The only treatment for Autism is therapy to learn how to live in a nerotypical world. I was not officially diagnosed with Autism dispite my doctor saying I definitely have it and was never given any kind of therapy. So, I grew up the hard way learning what is acceptable and what is not around nerotypicals. It took a lot of pain through trial and error, which could have been avoided with proper therapy. I am still very impulsive as a grown man but I don't act out on most of my impulsive thoughts. Relationships have been my worst and most painful struggle. Autistic love is totally different than nerotypical love. We love way more hardcore than any nerotypical could imagine. This is a serious problem when we get cheated on because it takes is years to get over it. It is difficult to gain our trust I do not like strangers and will usually avoid them if possible. It takes months for me to trust someone. Autistic love can sometimes be considered obsessive in the nerotypical world but we veiw it totally differently. At this point I am just looking for a women who will accept me as I am instead of me having to wear a fake person as a mask so people don't think I am weird.

I look at my son and I see so much potential and awesomeness. I love him to pieces, during my research I read that he could do the treatment at 2 years old. However, I wanted to wait until he was older to see if he would improve with ABA and speech therapy as well as to see if he will be able to talk so if after treatment he feels sick he could communicate that. However based on further research this treatment is best to take place in children 5 and older, so we have some years to go. I pray I will still see a lot of improvement until then with just speech and ABA therapy. However, I can't help but think that the sooner you apply this therapy, the better. I hope there's like common treatment of autism in the near future because I have one, but if I have like mild autism I'm okay with that, but if it's level 2 or above I definitely hope there's a treatment and I can get it
I’m sorry but as a mum to an autistic child, WHY are people being treated for autism?
@@idrk1507 I’m genuinely shocked that you’ve interpreted my comment as glamorous ideation of autism…
Also, if you have a condition, regardless of what that condition is, then it IS who you are - especially if it’s something you’re born with!
@@mrsrock7641
1) Glamorisation by its definition is making something attractive or exciting. These is exactly what these politically correct know-it-alls say; “autism is a gift, it makes me see world in a different way”. Yea of course it makes you see the world in a different way. That’s exactly why it’s not good. The world doesn’t like people who deviate too much from the norm. That’s why *millions* of autistics suffer
1) No, it’s not who you are (though, still a big part of who you are). That’s also what psychologists are aiming for sad diagnosed people to realise- that autism doesn’t dictate their personality, and that they should be hopeful because it’s not their full self
Lastly, thank you for your condolences.

@@stevekalamvokis5046 Behavior is communication. Listen to your autistic child when they are trying to communicate with you
@@stevekalamvokis5046
Repeatedly hitting oneself indicates that the autistic person is overwhelmed and frustrated.

Also, I would not want to judge anyone else on their experience. I just wanted to provide a different point of view generally that it is a good thing that people are different.

Yup we Literaly have more
Brain's.
@Wesley Hinson your son is still autistic you are wrong for saying that your son is cured .

Can u share how to get this drug or a dr.
@@faisalahmed8658 You cannot treat autism with any drug or anything. Autism is a life long condition, you have to help your child manage their autism, you can't 'cure it'. I'm autistic, and if I didn't have autism, I simply wouldn't exist. Autism isn't separate from me. If everyone in the world understood autistic people and accepted their differences, autistic people would be able to live happier without being treated worse for who they are
@@randomlilith you can do a QEEG brain scan, that is what I did after head injury. I had lots of areas in the brain going to fast, and some parts of my brain asleep while I was awake!! @Wesley Hinson thanks for the response. Where can I find more info about Dr. Oyalo?
ATISUM IS NOT CURABLE
How do you know? Where’s your evidence
Oh I think there is a cure. They're just making too much money off of it to fix it. Think about it. Cost for therapy, special Ed, those that attend school for special Ed. Not to mention the cost of meds people pay for

@Beatrix In Christ Can i get your WhatsApp no. for further assistance?
I am hopeful. I plan to do this for my son who was recently diagnosed on the spectrum. His comes with expressive and receptive language delays. That's the part that concerns me most.
I think at 3 or so, I'd this works for my son then it would help him to learn and retain a lot more than he will with other therapies. However, patience is a virtue. I am also praying for divine intervention.
This thing doesn’t help at all
