Unfortunately sometimes in life its too late to say "I love you " .Specially when the ones you love have gone away forever. She is in a better place i am sure :)

Dear Pakistan, As an indian, there may be many differences between our countries, but i just wanna say that your country is truly blessed with some of the most heavenly voices and amazing music creaters..you can win (and have already won) the hearts of the whole world by just the music.. Love and respect from India. ❤
Wow! Generations have sung "Aaj Jaane Ki Zid" after Farida Khanumji but none have touched the heights and depths she did. Even in her 80s she is magical. Seriously this rendition made my soul sing.
This is vintage stuff. She deserves all the accolades she can get. Being an artist in her generation, could not have been easy; but to have stuck with it all, and continued to sing and sing so expertly and so melodiously, in spite of her age--it really blows my mind. And there is so much sraddha for music in this rendition--she sings because she loves music, she venerates singing, not because she is out for any kind of commercial gain. That purity shines through, and her reverential feeling for melody. Overwhelmed.
How magical is this, that Farida Khanum Sahiba was born in Calcutta and Shamshaad Begum was born in Lahore - the amalgamation of culture and relation is centuries old- and i believe , days will come when the relations will be happier again as two neighbors should have sharing love- happiness and prosperity. Lots of love and admiration for Pakistan - From Delhi -India.
Tears flow thick and fast when you see how music can immortalise us. We may be human, with all our little limitations, but its these songs and these singers who have made us divine. Hats off, Coke Studio. You've done a much better job at your music than we have, on this side of the border.
Si.. de verdad que si! Mira que ahora estoy empezando a estudiar música clásica de India (Carnatica)... y quiero ir a vivir a Chennai dentro de un tiempo para estudiar allá! Tu de donde eres? Eres de Pakistan?
Welcome.. Study more music but this singer is from Pakistan.. Fusion music with classical is really being loved world over.. Majority of good classical singers are in Pakistan n also in India but most of the really good ones are no more in this world.. Good Luck for your lessons
Simply Wow!! I don't know how many times I listened this beautiful composition sung by the gr8 Pakistani Artist (Madam)..feeling proud our neighbor produce such a gr8 singer
Tears in my eyes...i can only pray for this wonderful artist who at this age also is so perfect in all her high and low notes. Amazing Singing...can't be learned from anyone coz it's a gift to the lucky few from god.
My dear that’s the power of soulful, pure music& powerful voice ......!!!! Feel sorry for the new generation that is listening only remakes ....! And feel anger those songs getting millions and millions of views
I'm from India. If there is one song, one voice that needs to be preserved till the end of time this is it. This song kills me and keeps me alive at the same time everytime I hear it. Farida Khanum Sahiba aapko salaam
This is the best version there is When she says "jaan jaati hae" it really wrenches your gut An outstanding example of how minimal music and proper stress on words is enough, no need for fancy compositions or singing styles
There’s a different level of pain and feel in her voice, in this song, which I’m unable to find in any other versions.. Whichever singer’s version I listen, I come back to this one at last!! Legends are legends!!
Many well known accomplished singers had already sung this ghazal, but nobody can take it to the peak as Farida khanum sahiba. This is only her ghazal.
I am at work, listening to this song, the beautiful notes drifting into my soul. Maybe its the silk voice of Farida Khanum ji, or the subtle music, or the pain and the sadness in the words or the calm in her voice and in her eyes. This song is like a cold white wave for my parched soul. Flooding it with so many colors of emotions, that I am going to burst into a rainbow. Makes me long for the love I never had, and makes me sink in the love that I have. The strains of her timeless voice tells me of a place beyond everything and all. I can never thank her enough for this magical song. God bless you with bountiful health and all the happiness always.
The words, the tune, the maturity in her voice filled with memories, feelings and countless emotions dripping with every line is surreal, unimaginably soulful, tears start dropping without even noticing 😭
What a beautiful song. I fall in love with Farida Ji again and again whenever I hear her. And this song is amazing. Beautiful lyrics, beautiful music and a beautiful voice. She is the living legend. Would like to visit Pakistan someday. My grandparents both maternal and paternal before the partition were in Sialkot and Multan respectively. They tell me the stories about the painful partition, how they lost everything. They came here got married in 1950. Why can't we forget hatred and love each other. We all have rich culture. We were one before partition then y so much of hatred. Our culture is similar, our food habits, music, pehnawa, even humans are same with 2 eyes, 2 ears, one nose, 2 hands and legs then y do we keep fighting. U people have amazing musicians. Love and respect from India.
Same people and same music.. poet, composer of this song came from nowadays india... people of pakistan and india both share the same music heritage... Shakil, gujrat, pakistan
You are right Shakil bhai, hamari ruh to ekahi hain. Sadiyonse alag alag invasions huve, ibadat ka tarika badla, fir bhi jaden to vahi hain. Music connects devine soul and soul is eternal. you all and me are having same soul. God bless. sada khush rahen.

Don't be afraid of shedding your tears because they cleanse your soul and make you purer than you were before. And then you can enjoy your growth even more.
Omg......kya bat..... Yar mai kai bar sochta hu jab ye sab purane artist jawan honge to kya lajawab gate honge ...aur agar ye sab ajj ke jamane me hote to kya agg barsate.. ustad nusrat ji, yamla jatt ,arif lahor ,asa sinhg mastana, surinder kaur.. and many more...salute to all of them.
hmare pass rafi ji kishore ji mukesh ji maana day ghulam ali bhut male singer h but dusri lata nhi hai america ne bhi lata ji ko best voice over world kha tha
This song reminds me of life, the way she has sang it over the years it always seems like she has added her experiences of life to her voice. At 80 plus years Madam Khanum's voice reflects all those bygone days, all the love both received and those unrequited. The deaths of many loved ones. Life is such a bitter sweet tale.
Lost my mother this year... whenever i listen to this song it takes me back to times when i used to be with her ...especially when she says 'Waqt ki kade may Zindagi ha maggar chund gariyaaan yahee hain ju azaaad hain.... unko khoo kar mari jannay jaaan umer bar na taraastay raho' ... its like listening to voice of an angel ...
Mohammad ali whenever i see my mother father my siblings, my inner cries loudly with a voice"" waqat ki qaid may zindgi ha mgr chnd ghriyan yhi hen jo azad hen"" i hug my mother deeply...cries more....and sings " inko khoo kr jaan e jan umer bhr naa trsty rho" ooh my Allah..Relations are beaitiful no matter which kind of relation is..well, mjy acha lga apka comment prh k..Stay blessed always
repeated this song from 1AM - 4AM.... with tears in my eyes.... remembering all those whom I have lost in my life... There is something about her singing this song now than before, which makes me love this song even more
Music transcends and goes beyond borders, makes us realize how similar roots we have. Pakistan coke studio makes we Indians feel proud of our families across the border. Akhir hai toh humare hi bichde hua bhai behen....... Lots of love from India for such immensely talented brothers and sisters !
Irony is she was born in Kolkata and shifted to Pakistan after the separation because of living in other part of Punjab during the partition .I wonder how a border played the game of hatred on us all, including Indians and Pakistanis ! Love for all :D
We need John Lennon's theory in the song "Imagine" in this world to save us all from hate and aggression . Few fences can't make us different , we're all the same humans and eventually we look like each other by the tone and height . I'm an atheist and I hate it when I see the world getting divided by religion . Love for all the religions, I hope I don't get killed by any religion or nation .
Farida ji! We are the people of this generation and many generations to come shall forever be blessed with your soulful voice and such beautiful song you sang with so much love. Aankhein nam hain aur aap Dil mein hain. Much love from India ❤️
Every time I listen to this, the tears just continue to flow...Listening to this evokes a feeling of true and pure love and reminds us that life is so fleeting! Let us all take risks in our life and experience the purest form of love before we leave this world
I can understand the way you think. We love to be apart...yes.. But we are far away from dis life.. I wish I could do dat once again.. I want to be hurt once again
Damn!!!. Shortest, Fastest 3 Minutes ever. The Line itself Says "Waqt ki Qaid main hai zindagi magar" One feels Like these 3 minutes should last till eternity.
+Muhammad Zubair Javed Salaam, Javed Sahib: I am so sorry but the line is "Waqt ki qaid main zindagi hai magar" ie. zindagi before hai ...... sequence of words is too critical in poetry' As per the singing, Farida Sahiba sang it amazingly perfect at this age. Got gifted voice with such control, mashaAllah! She belongs to Patiala Ghrana like her big sister Mukhtar Begum Sahiba a student Ustad Aishiq Khan Sahib of Patiala.
We like idiots draw lines filled with hatred and music erases them. This was magical. The comments were magical. This is one of the moments when you listen something and someone so profound that you can't stop crying and you can't comprehend why you are crying.
I've listened to this so many times today and I wondered what makes it so insatiable? Well, I think it's the ability of Farida sahiba to make us emote with the song. I was transported years behind to when a guy I loved with all my soul, left me. The song sure makes me melancholy but, it makes me also not hate him, but instead cherish what we had together. It makes me believe in love again. Khuda afiz, madam. May you live long and continue to grace us with your music. Much love and respect from an Indian girl.
The voice haunts even after the song is over... There's so much depth.. in fact the musicians have used very few strumming of guitar and have let the Queen do her magic with the voice. You are one of reasons Ma'am to restart my singing classes... It's a different world altogether to lose yourself in riyaaz... thank you Coke Studio. Wish I could take taalim from you
There is something in this version that surpass the ears and hit straight to heart...I didn't even realize when tears started rolling down from my eyes..Listened to the whole song with tears in my eyes..Its apparent that she is having difficulties holding the notes due to her age. But this gem of a ghazal will always belong to Farida ji...No one can take that away no matter what... God bless her!
Tears rolling down from my eyes... How strong voice and emotions.. How can someone explain this notes, raags, critics and offcourse her performance at the age of 87! Hatts off to Fayaaz Hashmi for this poetry! Love & Respect from BD!
Eternal grace, eternally grateful for this voice. She's exceptional. Never could watch her live, wish could have seen her in her prime. Naman, Farida ji.😚
Listening to this gem at 3 in the morning and I've no idea why I've tears rolling down my eyes! Playing this for the 7th time on repeat This is beautiful beyond words. Can't thank Fardia Khanum Sahiba and Coke Studio enough! Love from India 💖
Love from india.. Ma'am i got addicted to ur soulful voice. The intensity with which you kept on singing really moved me. I have listened to it like a hundred times.. In two days. I wish i could touch your feet. I'm privileged to get the chance to listen to you.🙌 Thank you ma'am🙏
I don't know why am I crying.... I wish India Pak ek hota.... Such a beautiful voice , a soul in her voice is present .... And I'm sure the whole Pakistan is having lot of talented people... A beautiful country with beautiful people ... Love from India
Oh her voice is just fire🔥..... every word that comes out from her mouth just penetrates my heart 💓 & I mean every word🔥love from India I can't get enough of it !!! I've been listening to this song on repeat 💖
I had a bad day and then came across this...May be that's why Legends are Legends. I went to another world of tranquility. Watching Her sing is equal and pure joy as it is to listen.
It is so sad that poets are never appreciated. Let's appreciate The poet FAYYAZ HASHMI (1920-2011) for this beautiful poetry.
True.. thanks for mentioning..
Yesss, it is bitter reality of our music clan

This song reminds me of life, the way she has sang it over the years it always seems like she has added her experiences of life to her voice. At 80 plus years Madam Khanum's voice reflects all those bygone days, all the love both received and those unrequited. The deaths of many loved ones.
Life is such a bitter sweet tale.
Very well said . Love and peace from PAKISTAN stay bless
Какая печаль светлая. Я ни слова не понимаю, но слёзы сами наворачиваются, комок в горле...
Today don't be so stubborn about going.
Please stay when you go I feel like I am dead.
Mohammad ali i just have wet with tears while reading your comment..........i will write a poem on your feelings..becuaee same feelings i have
Mohammad ali whenever i see my mother father my siblings, my inner cries loudly with a voice"" waqat ki qaid may zindgi ha mgr chnd ghriyan yhi hen jo azad hen"" i hug my mother deeply...cries more....and sings " inko khoo kr jaan e jan umer bhr naa trsty rho" ooh my Allah..Relations are beaitiful no matter which kind of relation is..well, mjy acha lga apka comment prh k..Stay blessed always

Rip.bro 🙁😞😞
I'm very sorry for your loss
repeated this song from 1AM - 4AM.... with tears in my eyes.... remembering all those whom I have lost in my life...
Lots of love from India for such immensely talented brothers and sisters !
aditya pathak we love you bro. Ind pak are brothers

This is just beautiful.. words can’t express how soulful her voice is ..
I am not crying....there is something stuck in my eye
Irony is she was born in Kolkata and shifted to Pakistan after the separation because of living in other part of Punjab during the partition .I wonder how a border played the game of hatred on us all, including Indians and Pakistanis !
Love for all :D
SatCap I wish India,Pak and Bangladesh to unite again as it was during Mughal Rule
SatCap very true ...
Farida ji! We are the people of this generation and many generations to come shall forever be blessed with your soulful voice and such beautiful song you sang with so much love. Aankhein nam hain aur aap Dil mein hain. Much love from India ❤️
Is age me bhi .....woh cheez gate hai..... Hats off...... Aap inspire karte raho..... Amar raho......
Apni classical Music inke wajah se zinda hai
Every time I listen to this, the tears just continue to flow...Listening to this evokes a feeling of true and pure love and reminds us that life is so fleeting! Let us all take risks in our life and experience the purest form of love before we leave this world
Sukhi Kaur agreed 100 percent...

I can understand the way you think. We love to be apart...yes.. But we are far away from dis life.. I wish I could do dat once again.. I want to be hurt once again
I had tears in my eye, this is so refreshing ❤
Damn!!!. Shortest, Fastest 3 Minutes ever.
The Line itself Says "Waqt ki Qaid main hai zindagi magar" One feels Like these 3 minutes should last till eternity.
+Muhammad Zubair Javed Exactly same feeling here..
+Muhammad Zubair Javed True i was hoping it to last a litter longer than 5-6 mins.
+Muhammad Zubair Javed Salaam, Javed Sahib: I am so sorry but the line is "Waqt ki qaid main zindagi hai magar" ie. zindagi before hai ...... sequence of words is too critical in poetry'
As per the singing, Farida Sahiba sang it amazingly perfect at this age. Got gifted voice with such control, mashaAllah! She belongs to Patiala Ghrana like her big sister Mukhtar Begum Sahiba a student Ustad Aishiq Khan Sahib of Patiala.
Well said man

I think my favourite song in the world. This is my "go to" song on sleepless nights, on lonely mountains, on rainy evenings, on empty days.

tears are rolling down, hats off to Pakistan magic, this is awesome...love from Nepal
We like idiots draw lines filled with hatred and music erases them. This was magical. The comments were magical. This is one of the moments when you listen something and someone so profound that you can't stop crying and you can't comprehend why you are crying.
Wish both Indian and Pakistani start thinking like you , our most of problems will automatically solved ,Love and Peace
fact that she can hit those notes at this age is astonishing real artist.
Aagon Aryan who r those ignorants ? Might those ones who don’t even know about classical music ?
Aagon Aryan Love you
She is a true legend
Now she no moor with us ::::Jan jati hy jab ut ky jati ho tum ::::
bro what are you trying to say?? she's no more ??? are you serious??
Born in Calcutta. Singing from Pakistan. We both are lucky brother.
Hope you have your belief in love restored.
Same here..oh my god! You wrote what I had in my mind....
Life is name of living in the moment you are at the moment but our past always keeps us haunting and it has great influence how we think.
Hello rya
Riah you are insatiable 😒❤️
The voice haunts even after the song is over... There's so much depth.. in fact the musicians have used very few strumming of guitar and have let the Queen do her magic with the voice. You are one of reasons Ma'am to restart my singing classes... It's a different world altogether to lose yourself in riyaaz... thank you Coke Studio. Wish I could take taalim from you
hmm
Bless you
Yeah it's really haunting 😲😲😲
The way Farida ji begins and the way the acoustic and bass join in. Divine.
Listening to this gem at 3 in the morning and I've no idea why I've tears rolling down my eyes! Playing this for the 7th time on repeat This is beautiful beyond words. Can't thank Fardia Khanum Sahiba and Coke Studio enough!
