I like that the Seed group acknowledge the Zeta's group Mobile Suits as that and not Gundam types but rather unknown MS, while on the opposite side, the Zeta group classifies their MS as Gundam type. While clearly they can't call the Zeta group a Gundam unit due to Amuro's suit not being even close to be a Gundam type and Quatro's technically not being one either (yes, Hyaku Shiki is based on the Delta Gundam and the argument could be made for and against it being a Gundam) but also, the Zeta itself does not have the "traditional" Gundam look, so it makes sense that the Seed group does not necessarily see it as a Gundam but rather an unknown type suit.
Seed doesn't have "Gundams". In srw J Kira or someone from the Seed crew categorizes Shining Gundam as a G unit(their classification of Experimental mobile suits with the OS G.U.N.D.A.M) in Srw W Kira mistakenly thought that the Strike is a Gundam because it has the same look as the Preventer Gundams(from Gundam wings).
It's more that in CE, "Gundam" is an informal term only really used by a select handful of people, and even then never in an operational capacity; to them, any new mobile suit would be an "unknown" regardless of its design. Meanwhile, the UC folk already use the term "Gundam" to refer to a mobile suit with a particular set of design features, and thus if they see MS with said traits they'll identify them as "Gundams".
The way they play the theme before the characters show up make me think that the Zeta characters are blasting their music really loudly while travelling and that's what alerted the SEED Destiny guys.

I love this scene just for how it illustrates the way the Destiny trio was supposed to be. Kira is the not-intrusive war veteran of few but wise words, Athrun is the leader since he's the one with the more skill and experience thus acting as a mentor as well, and Shinn is pretty much his SRW L counterpart: A stable yet young soldier who is aggressive and passionate, amidst two potential role models. Granted they're in their post-anime incarnations, but still...
Actually, the reason that Shinn gets his character wrecked is thanks to the shenanigans backstage as it were. Essentially the basic rundown was Morisawa thought they Fukuda was cheating on him with Cagalli's Seiyu, and when Shinn's Seiyu got in the middle of it to defend Cagalli's Seiyu, Shinn got bad treatment in the series as well. Then there was the fact that the writer turned Kira and Lacus into SIs among other things... Oh, and Fukuda had a bitch fit when Super Robot Wars had the 'audacity' of fixing DESTINY. At least, that is according to the rumors.

Sunrise is too greedy and eager to turn CE into the next UC cashcow. Fukuda and his staff got pushed for the Seed compilation movies and had to rush production and writings for Destiny. The whole cheating stuff is more celebrities tabloid materials being circled in early image boards and blogs rather than any concrete evidences about that.
Char/Quattro totally confuses Athrun by name dropping AEUG and Titans. Though he'd probably think Blue Cosmos is basically the same as the Titans. I can tell Kamille and Shinn would get along well, probably would end up in a big fist fight. How Athrun and Shinn don't think Quattro sounds like Durandal is beyond me also.

I like how the seed MSs defy gravity and stay levitated like for the whole duration of there conversation between the UC MSs, and the UC Suits stay grounded talking to them back....OP much seed? I also love how Kira is behind Amuro and Athrun is behind Char with destiny behind Z, Awesome tribute to both sides since Seed was a Tribute to them to begin with. Every time I see Kira and Amuro in the same game I'm like man... there like brothers...

Pretty sure Gundam 00's GN Particles were inspired by Minovsky particles in design. As for SEED/SEED Destiny, I don't ever recall them having any sort of Anti-Gravity technology. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about that. You are probably wondering why I'm bringing up Anti-Gravity technology. The only reason I bring this up is that mechs would way a ton in real-life physics, the reason why UC MSes can even move in gravity is because of Anti-Gravity technology lightening the Mobile Suit's weight. Even with Anti-Gravity technology, in the UC universe, Mobile Suits are still insanely heavy to the point that they are only able to hop in Earth's gravity, unlike SEED/SEED Destiny, where they have none of that and yet their Mobile Suits can stay levitated within Earth's gravity. Of course, Gundam 00's GN particles are much more superior to UC's Minovsky particles as you can tell the 00 MS don't even require thrusters to fly. To make a mech of this size stay mid-air and stationary within earth's atmosphere, would require thrusters probably 1000x greater than anything in UC or real life. This makes no sense since in SEED I'm pretty sure they mentioned that they utilize conventional thrusters. You might bring up Iron Man who can stay levitated pretty easily, however, you would also have to consider the mass of Iron Man being the size of a Gundam's foot. The larger the mass the heavier they are. Even with "Nuclear Power" which would make even less sense because that would add more mass..... This is why Godzilla's design makes no sense if it was to exist. As Godzilla's mass would be so heavy that when it walks the Earth's crust would break beneath him. However, Godzilla is more in the realm of fantasy whereas Gundam is in the "realistic" mech genre so that makes no sense for them to not consider that for SEED/SEED destiny whereas UC have thought that out.

it hurts that when they did decide to localize new gundam breaker it probably left the worst possible impression about how others would react to Another Century's Episode series and killed any chance that it would eventually be localized later on. oh well at least the old games are out there and learning another language could be useful later on

Even with Anti-Gravity technology, in the UC universe, Mobile Suits are still insanely heavy to the point that they are only able to hop in Earth's gravity, unlike SEED/SEED Destiny, where they have none of that and yet their Mobile Suits can stay levitated within Earth's gravity. Of course, Gundam 00's GN particles are much more superior to UC's Minovsky particles as you can tell the 00 MS don't even require thrusters to fly.
To make a mech of this size stay mid-air and stationary within earth's atmosphere, would require thrusters probably 1000x greater than anything in UC or real life. This makes no sense since in SEED I'm pretty sure they mentioned that they utilize conventional thrusters. You might bring up Iron Man who can stay levitated pretty easily, however, you would also have to consider the mass of Iron Man being the size of a Gundam's foot. The larger the mass the heavier they are. Even with "Nuclear Power" which would make even less sense because that would add more mass.....
This is why Godzilla's design makes no sense if it was to exist. As Godzilla's mass would be so heavy that when it walks the Earth's crust would break beneath him. However, Godzilla is more in the realm of fantasy whereas Gundam is in the "realistic" mech genre so that makes no sense for them to not consider that for SEED/SEED destiny whereas UC have thought that out.

Biggest pain in the ass is that UC Gundams in this game dont have auto-flight stablizers so you need to constantly hold thrust to maintain airborn wile the CA Gundams do and thus float constantly unless told otherwise.
