Omg!!! I have that Free people dress and I’m the one who bought the other amber heart like you were wearing!! ( love how you put the belt with dress). I just love shopping with you 🧡🌼
Thank you for the mini vacation you took us on. I felt like I had a day off from working on my house (the 1 I have to sell) so Love You for that! Am I the only one who is sad when Dawn’s videos are over?
Patricia, you are not alone with that feeling. The more we enjoy something and someone, the more we want. I think the fact, she makes us feel we are actually there shopping with her, makes the experience more fun! Hope all's well and happy with you Patricia. 🤗✌️
Just one bit of info, you mentioned Napier didn’t mark their sterling during a certain period. I have the Napier book (it is 1000 pages!) and have had written and phone discussions with the author, and she says that Napier always marked their sterling. Just something that you might want to know.
Hmmmm.. thank you interesting. I have def come across Napier from "the duration" {WW11 era) that was not marked sterling, but was sterling.. perhaps the marks were rubbed away or something.
This old Iowa gal has learned so much from watching your videos! I like to say that you are my new on-line class :) I am so amazed at all the treasures that you find. That shop was a total dream come true for any shopper. Thanks for making my day brighter!
Think it’s Marlyn Schiff. Some of our jewelry used to be put in stitch fix boxes so beautiful. So many beautiful things you got are especially love, glass necklaces, the beaten necklaces and the heart. Oh my goodness so beautiful it matches your set perfectly.
Love 💕love 💕love Maria’s jewelry! She looked fabulous! I don’t know why she didn’t want to be on camera. What a great eye she has also! You two are the Dynamic Duo of the Jewelry World! ! PS Dawn, I love your dress so much. You look so good in pink. It lights up your whole face. But then, you look beautiful in everything. ❤️
Hey lovely, firstly, loving the dresses you and Maria are wearing. I love long and flowy! Always makes me feel fabulous! 👗Beautiful haul but the star of the show is the gold and opal/opaline/opalite? 🤔 brooch 🌟 Great video, as always! Thanks Dawn, take care! 🤗 💜😸✌️
I found you via The Niche Lady. I am hooked on your videos. My aunt gave me her huge collection of vintage costume and fine jewelry. Her favorite brands were signed Coro, Eisenberg, and Weinberg jewelry. I also received 3 pieces of Iradj Moini jewelry.
Hello.. thanks for taking us shopping with you Dawn and sharing those beautiful vintage jewelry that you bought they are marvelous... you look great on that beautiful pink flowery dress it lights up your skin.... its nice to shop with a friend have a good time Bless you ❤
Hey, Dawn I love love love all your videos! I'm learning so much. I just bought the tool kit and would love if you could do a video on what stones glow under a black light. Thanks
Just starting to dabble in costume, vintage jewelry, can you explain in your videos, specifically what you are looking for, in a piece? Example you said “when we turn this over, you can see that it is modern.” what is it that shows you that it is modern? The same for Vintage or an older piece, the telltale signs? I’ve been watching all of your videos, and I am learning so much. Thank you for doing what you do.
I learn SO much from your videos! And I am VERY sure that many of your pieces will be in museums some day. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise with all of us.
"I have a weird eye for lucite." Me too, LOL. I get a great feeling of satisfaction when it has that gentle blue glow in UV light. What an awesome haul!
Oh, good lord. Those gorgeous silver figural string of lights that you loved?? I just picked up the exact same thing in burnished copper, while Thrifting, last week!! ❤️
I’ve got that exact same wire mannequin here in Australia. I have a 50s style dress on it and my collection of vintage brooches on dress. On top of the hat rack area I placed a large vintage lampshade found at tip. I attached vintage doilies to lamp shade. It looks real pretty 😊
Great haul Dawn beautiful finds. I love learning so much from your finds. Whenever I’m out thrifting I do pay extra attention to the clasps. Btw what type of jewelry tester do you recommend 😊💐
Hi Dawn @5:25 there is an amethyst rock crystal necklace on the wall that I would love to have if you go back. It’s when you find the beautiful clear etched crystal necklace.
Blue John is my favourite semi precious stone I’ve got a few Victorian period pieces and I wear my great grandmothers pendant every day (I’m originally from Derbyshire but now in Australia)
Can you ladies let me know where you got your dresses?!! What brand are they!! I don't have any dresses and want some for summer. Yours look perfect! Thin and flowy for this terrible humidity!!! Please let me know if u see this!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ohh I would love to shop there! I found a triple strand necklace of the same white selenite beads the other day at a local antique store. I didn't get it because the clasp (while beautiful) had lost several stones. I wonder if i shoud go back for it now. It was $10!
Such vintage fabulousness! My head is spinning with excitement - everything you found is so absolutely beautiful! Hope you both had a wonderful lunch. Great old building. See you at auction! Hugs ❤😎👍
I have an Eisenberg / sterling ring that is a little smaller than a 7 and was wondering if you know how much it cost or is worth I should say! I also have an awesome looking bracelet that says Acuala 925 VCC HECHO EN MEX. The ring is from the old Wolf And Dessauer store in Ft. Wayne IN. that burned almost down and at the time my dad worked there and saved a bunch of emp. and shoppers from getting burned to death. It was in 1962 and my mom purchased the ring a few years before at a close-out sale. I had another one that had a stone missing and traded it for a two stone garnet ring in gold. She didn't know exactly what the stones were because they were redder than the rest of the garnets that she had.I kept walking past it and it kept jumping out at me and saying buy me! So I finally ask her how much it was and she said $99.00. I ask if she had lay-a-way and she said yes.I put $25.00 down and the next time I ask her if she took trade ins. She said yes, so I brought the a couple necklaces and the ring and she seemed happy. I think that she knew what I gave her but didn't say anything about it. I took the garnet ring to the jewelers and he said it was a very high quality and that it was worth over $300.00. I am very happy with it!
So glad you got to go back to that antique store and for taking us along😊 That pendant watch is so cool. My favorite piece is the blue lace agate with the rock crystal stones❤
Looks like carved glass not rock crystal to me but still fabulous. I always think of American designer Holly Yashi with Niobium. I will have to look up the British designer you are referencing. You girls had fun today. I’ve been thinking lately….what would Dawn say about my collection ? 🩷🌼💚🦋
Absolutely FABULOUS finds! Always learn something from you!
...and you have time to watch? Holy cats!
