Pull back for a second Petrus. Ask yourself, what is the one common thread about every successful film, TV show, TH-camr, etc? Why was Friends so successful? Why was, Terminator, 24, The Sopranos, Casey so successful? Content? As a secondary thing, yes. But number one is the person, the character, the star of the show. Is the person likable or not? Why is Casey so successful? Because we fucking love the guy, and THEN yes he's got great content. The same applies here, Petenheimer. We just fucking love to see you and the content doesn't really matter. You are a very very well loved person here on this platform, so stress not about content. We know it will be good. Do a video on driving your snowmobile to the grocery store. Its gonna be great. We don't need the secrets of the universe in every video.

Just with your attitude and personality as a creator here on YT you have inspired so many new creators far beyond photography, video, cinematography ect... I have friends who love your channel and they don't even own cameras lol. Your proof that just being motivated and being yourself can bring success as a creator. Who cares what the nay sayers say.
Burnout and feeling like you are forcing things, is something that every TH-cam Creator faces at some point. I'm glad you're talking about this because more people need to be express this. The grind of TH-cam is sometimes glorified in an unhealthy way. Consistency is important, but so is doing what feels right and feels authentic to you is even more important.
Back when many of us got the email about losing monetization if you have under 1000 subscribers, I totally freaked out, and worked like crazy for the 2 weeks after that, making so many videos. I had around 600 subscribers at the time. I started to get burnt out, and realized that if I would work even harder and make a few more (DIY) videos that I didn't really want to make, I would probably be able to reach 1000 subscribers, to not lose my monetization.
But then I thought about it more, and realized there's no point to that. No point in being able to monetize the videos I _wouldn't be making_ because I would be so burnt out...
I'm at 850 subscribers now, and I will probably be able to monetize in a month or two, my monetization shoud be removed any hour now.
If you feel this way, watch Roberto's videos, you will learn so much on how to improve your channel.
I suppose getting burnt out is a good thing. It allows you to take a step back and re-evaluate your work and why you are doing it.

Thanks Yonatan, yes setbacks can be discouraging, but I'm glad you reevaluated and made a decision based in your integrity and creative freedom instead of out of fear. It shows depth of character and you will be better off because of it!

Thanks for the kind words :) Advice I could give would be to probably just own it and go for it...IF you feel that's the right thing to do. Once you make up your mind, you just gotta go for it -- but know it wont be easy. I'm only 1 month into it and I know it'll be rough for a while as my audience transitions, i *hopefully* gain a new audience, etc. You just have to prepare yourself. But if it's what you want to do with your channel and you feel it's the right thing to do, then you just gotta go for it and go all in. Definitely is scary tho, i'll give you that haha

Well, I know some of your videos are travel vlogs, but some of them were just your typical daily routines. I've gone through a few burn outs working on film projects, I'm slowly getting used to balancing life and work but when you are a natural workaholic it's easy to split back into it.

The problem with TH-cam is that we are constantly trying to outdo ourselves. Inevitably we end up going too far and either burning out, or Logan Pauling. Take it easy Pete. Rest up and make videos when you want to.
Peter, you keep accidentally making uber-relevant videos to a conflict I'm having at the time. This week I've been debating on which direction to take my channel, what to do with old videos that I love that other people may not, etc. Your advice proved quite encouraging and timely. Cheers!

I personally like two minute tuesday cause there's something about watching you try to do something or teach something in two minutes (and most of the time fail) that makes me smile, grin even! So I gotta say I kinda missed you not doing it anymore but thought that it was your new year resolution to change stuff up! Really man I just love watching your videos whether it's a tutorial a vlog or a sit down and talking vid, because of you yourself as a person! Keep up the great work man!
To be honest, I don't care how you do your Tuesday videos. They can be tutorials, they can be videos of a beautiful view, or it can be a Q&A for all I care. You do really nice, inspiring videos anyways. You don't have to force yourself to do anything. If people don't like you not doing tutorials every Tuesday, they can piss off for all I care. This is YOUR channel and YOU decide what you put out, not the subscribers. The second you aren't happy with your content should be the second you change something about it. And that is still your decision.
Just know, that every video you do is awesome. Coffee, Q&A's, tutorials, beautiful views, vlogs, just ANYTHING is awesome. It doesn't matter when you put it out, just when you feel like it you can do it. 😄😊💙

Man, you do you. Your followers like the WAY you tell your stories, not necessarily the rigid rules you may set for yourself to tell them. Everyone needs to shift and change their plan to make sure they keep themselves 'well' and inspired. It's a season of struggle, and just sharing anything is great. keep it up.

Are you into star photography? if so can you pleas make a tutorial about the right fokus to use. My photos of Stars never come out very crispi when i use autofokus i always have to use a fokus of about 50meters but even then the Stars are cinde of blurre and thats not because my shutter speed is to long, mostly i use a exposure of 10 seconds with an 28mm lens (Sony Alpha 7)

10 sec is preeeetty damn long exposure time, you sure that its not the source of blurriness ? also try to set focus manually on somewhere around infinity, this will definitely help you get better shots :)
oh, and one more - bare in mind that long exposure times may cause some image distortions like more noise or some weird artifacts :)
Try using manual focus assist which zooms in the image and manual focus until each star resolves a perfect dot
