I just started making gnomes. I went crazy buying materials for the gnome. My room is filled up with fabric, socks, hats and so much more! Now I am so overwhelmed I don’t know how to focus on which gnome to make. Any ideas on what to do? Thank you, Merry Christmas! Barbara
Hi Barbara! I totally understand what you are saying! I suggest picking 1 style of sock gnome to start with and then when you are ready, try out making one of the standing gnomes. I have a membership club where I teach how to make the gnomes right along with you on a Live tutorial, you should check it out! tenderfootvillage.com/products/tenderfoot-village-makers-membership
Funny you say that. I just got interested in making gnomes a few days ago, and already I've accumulated enough supplies to make a roomful - and I've only made two so far!! LOL
Hi, I love your gnoms the best! I watched the gnom diy you put up and I thought I could be wrong but I thought I heard you say that the beard was in that video 4in high by 5in wide? These demensions seem smaller at 3in by 4. Could it be either or? Thanx ☺️
This comment is going to sound so weird but 🤷♀️ lol. When I was younger I had these rave style leg warmers. We calledd them fluffies. They were basically a band of elastic at knee to hold it up with this type of fur in bright colors like rainbow, tye dye.. I had a black and pink pair o special ordered from UK 🇬🇧. Man I really wish I still had them cause it would be perfect to use for this!! 😆
Does Hobby Lobby ever put their beard material on sale. My son, Mom (who is in a memory care home) and I will be making these to sell this Christmas! So grateful for your tutorials!
Don't know if this helps any, but I've just started doing these in the last two days, and I used pebbles from my back yard. They're nice and round and FREE. And it only took a few in each gnome...the rest of the space I filled with fiberfill.
I agree. Love watching and listening to you create and would enjoy seeing you make a girl too! Hmmm ... can we make Halloween Gnomes? Is that a thing? ♥Can we make it a thing? lol OH! Girl Witch Gnomes for Halloween. We definitely need *that* tutorial video!
I’m not tenderfoot but I never use food in mine because of bugs, mice, humidity. Glass marbles in bottom and fiberfill to fill it up. I sell mine or use them for gifts and I may have them a while or store them year to year.
Use both in 1 gnome. Rice in bottom to add stability & fluff in body. Keeps gnome light & not so heavy. If you wanna use it as a door stop use all rice.
I don't like you very much. After watching your TH-cam Tutorial on how to make gnomes, I CAN'T STOP MYSELF FROM MAKING GNOMES! By Christmas my town may be overrun with short little men. It may become a National Emergency. All because of you (Really, thank you. It's so much fun)
@Sally Mount: You'll have to see my reply to Anita Mitchell's comment. I want to make Halloween Girl Witch Gnomes a thing and need the tutorial for *that*!
I LOVE THESE LITTLE FELLAS! :)

OMG I did the same thing, I have so much supplies and don’t know what to do next!!!

I'm going to Hobby Lobby tomorrow! Can't wait to make one! Thank you for the great videos!
Thank you for making it look so easy! I will definitely be making one (or more!) soon!
I use scissors all the time when cutting fur, you need to snip the backing and not the fur. It goes faster then using a blade.
Thank you for the video. I want to attempt to make one. What did you use for the nose? Can feet be added?

Donna Mahanna you can always use one of their 40% off coupons but they do have that material on sale periodically.
Donna Mahanna They do have a 40% off for one regular priced item every week. Check their ad, or go on line.
What about using sand, kitty litter etc to fill the body which would be heavy enough to keep the body heavy enough?

I'd love to see you make the girl one you have in your other video. These are addicting, lol.

Wonderful!!!

You think it's best to use rice or foam from a old pillow...???

Sue Werner yes!!! I’ve been buying little witches hats but I can’t quite get them right.
I'll have to look at Michaels for the beard material? I won't shop at Hobby Lobby.
Michaels has it. So does Joann’s
SusieRock 822 What’s wrong with Hobby Lobby?
I found the fur in the trims section at Fabricland. Even on sale it was a bit expensive though. Now I can make about 20 gnomes if I want however....
I ordered from Amazon...but also had a small sweater with faux fur...should make 10 gnomes..Amazon takes forever to come ..
