I love how Lewis ends every episode or podcast "Well holy crap-" I've developed a Pavlovian response to click back to the tab and get ready for another video when I hear it.
Those "narco subs" aren't actually submarines, they modified speed boats to make them semi submersible, usually out of fibre glass. They are just a hull, with a steering wheel, and an internal engine. They have no depth control. How low they ride in the water is dependent on the weight of the load they are carrying.
Cause a lot of people don't know how to cope with the dread of their daily monotonous life without alcohol and watching reality tv to take delight into knowing there are people who have it worse. Most of us are running along in the rat race and it's instinct to find the easiest solution even when it's self-destructive or shows no gain at the end.
Probably because there is significant evidence that tribes began to form communities together to get alcohol or it was one of the first things humans sought after once we started living in these inter tribe communities.
@@liquitical Absolutely caffeine is also a psychoactive drug, however my main issue with alcohol is that it's a very harmful drug. I don't believe we should ban alcohol or anything, but I find it to be slightly hypocritical how most people look down on users of softdrugs with very minor health risks such as weed or shrooms while these same judgmental people are regularly consuming alcohol.
In Sweden we are no longer allowed to smoke at playgrounds, railway stations, buss stops, outside store entrances or publicly accessible buildings of anysort, smoke-rooms, and in outdoor sections of restaurants and bars. Basically like.. nowhere.
Those pizza ovens are meant to bake pizzas at like 400-500°C. The whole point of buying one is to be able to bake at higher temps. Might as well use a normal oven if you're gonna bake at 200°C. Of course you have to keep feeding it pellets if you stubbornly only feed it enough to reach a low 200°C. Pay attention to the pizza, rotate it as needed and it won't burn.
Hot pizza making tip - If you don't have a pizza stone, use an upside down baking tray and let that get very hot and it will simulate the pizza stone by giving your pizza a very crispy bottom.
Sips is an absolutely crucial part of this podcast. He inserts humour and ridiculous when things get too heavy, and nuance when the conversation seems one-sided. Love him
My boss smokes alot and believes smoking is healthy. Apparently he wrote his PhD thesis on the benefits of smoking and how it cleans your lungs. He tells people about it. He goes on about he was almost a MD but decided against it because he can't handle blood so he got his PhD in philosophy from suny buffalo.
Same, I quit at the beginning of our lockdown but since things have opened up and I've been out and about it's been a hard and somewhat unsuccessful struggle to stay away from the cigs
Talking investment at the end, reminds me of when Richard Branson got asked, "How do you become a millionaire?".... his reply was, "Start as a billionaire and launch a new Airline."
Re: Smoking, it is true that quitting smoking can help at any stage of life, but in many cases, within 5 years, you can reverse the damage caused by the smoking. Just wanted to say that it isn't a myth and there are studies that show the recovery of past smokers.
Lewis, your story about the guy who wrote a script, that is literally me rn. I went to a coding Bootcamp for web development and came out with the skills to create a server / API / frontend that allows me to upload excel sheets and processes them automatically... What took me a day and a half now run automatically in about 2 minutes.. Edit: I'm working from home, mainly due to covid-19. but it's a good selling point for me :)
Lewis is right, most cartel submarines are basically held together with duct tape and string. There are some, however, which are believed to have been made suspiciously well lol - How do you say, "ex-navy engineers"?
... I have been doing stuff with raspberry pies at the moment. Super simple right now. First one automating my ac window unit. Second going to be a home firewall router. Was just going to run it in a VM on my nas but decided that's not very secure after thinking it would be bad if somehow it got compromised and they were able to break out of the VM. Plan on automating things around the house but not sure I need a raspberry for those things probably just need Arduinos that are controlled by one of the rpis.
One of the projects on the list is adding sensors to my rabbit cages. For the temp to turn a fan on and off(it's been in the 90s the last couple weeks). Maybe a warming pad during winter. Maybe food and water monitoring, maybe auto feeder/waterer. Another project is sensors for the garden. Another adding sensors to my car like blindspots detection, parking assist, maybe adaptive cruise control (probably not), etc. Things they didn't have in 2007 or were extras then.
I've heard tell that sometimes the Cartels will just simply purchase a used 747 pack it full of cocaine, fly it to the AZ desert and torch it immediately after unloading. A one use commercial jet.
Wallace&Gromit inventions made easy is just another great thing about Raspberry Pie. And my fish feeder is going to make me a billionaire, just you watch!
Just to let you know; Heroin (methadone) is legal in the UK via prescription. Our pharmacy has a couple dozen "blue script" patients Oh; and there are few limits on free needles. Just ask for a "red" or "blue" sunglasses case
I would recommend the Hyundai ioniq, you can get some good deals on models that are a few years old since they made a new model in 2019, and the prices on the old one dropped quite alot.....
My father was a chain smoker, so as my mother. Never touched it, never will, can't stand the smell. Now parties and bars are different, I don't mind there because that is part of it, but living in constant smoke? No thank you.
The lazy parts kinda relates to the yogscast. They wanted to make videos and not do the boring crap so got editors to help so they could do the fun stuff. And grew more and more as they were able to focus on content
The pizza oven bit reminded me of the time I hid an aerosol can in my parents fire pit in their garden and watched the chaos unfold from an upstairs window.
These subs are built by the cartel in south america and they are only semi subsurface vessels, they cannot fully submerge, i can not speak for the occasion they bought Soviet subs tho XD
I love how Lewis ends every episode or podcast "Well holy crap-" I've developed a Pavlovian response to click back to the tab and get ready for another video when I hear it.
lol this is so accurate.
pflax breaking out the old "french merman" voice, he really had that ready in his back pocket
I bet he acquired that from fathering daughters.

sips's continuing childlike bafflement and mystery about microwaves
A triforce that's over an hour? Hell yeah!
I saw the title and immediately thought of Sips
I was watching one of his live streams, seems only fitting
Mr Canada you’re his dad right?
It cant be sips since its not the laziest dad in the world
Glad i wasn't the only one.
Freindly fire is not on
Triforce always makes my week not suck as much.
Same.
getting ripped on by nerds for being a nerd who loves his Raspberry Pi's... feels pepega man
I installed Linux on my laptop on Monday and have been setting up retropie today.... then I listened to this podcast :(
"Fucking nerds and their raspberry pi."
5min later:
"Oh a garden pizza oven, I think I saw one of them in star trek the other day."
@@CptBonex lolll
I nearly fucking died on the floor laughing when flax said "Just fuckin dive lads its a submarine"
My brother runs raspberry pies and works for a defense contractor lol
Does he sound like that?
Doubt
can also confirm - I do similar work and co-workers dabble with them.
35:56 Poor Lewis had his joke ignored. I lol'd.
23:42 LEWIS FUCKING CALLED IT!
Sips: im the laziest guy alive.
also Sips: i make my own pasta.
bit of a discrepancy there, mr Gates wont like that
Always baffles me how people just conveniently forget that alcohol *is* a drug. And it's a fairly harmful one at that.

I mean, coffee is also technically a drug- or at least caffeine is
@@liquitical Absolutely caffeine is also a psychoactive drug, however my main issue with alcohol is that it's a very harmful drug.

Coming up with a good idea is the easy part, getting people to buy it is the challenge.
eh they're both kinda hard
Jeez opening with the Linux hate 😂
We’ve got a long one boys
In Sweden we are no longer allowed to smoke at playgrounds, railway stations, buss stops, outside store entrances or publicly accessible buildings of anysort, smoke-rooms, and in outdoor sections of restaurants and bars. Basically like.. nowhere.
Can't even smoke on Canadian outdoor restaurant patios any more
Where the hell is Lewis pulling out all of these sailing adages?
Probably a subreddit for it

14:39 - The bit about the pizza oven was very fun; my wife just got one and we have been learning to use it. (thankfully ours is electric. lol)
This was one of my favorite episodes. JUST becouse we got to hear alot about sips highscool days💜💜💜💜
One of the longest ones yet! Love ya guys!!
Sips is an absolutely crucial part of this podcast. He inserts humour and ridiculous when things get too heavy, and nuance when the conversation seems one-sided. Love him
I have never felt more attacked then when sips straight up described me and my raspberry pi hobby.
I use a Raspberry PI to remotely run my 3d printer with my phone...
Same, but I have more fondness for Arduino's
Octoprint ftw
You look exactly as u expected 😉
This and Sips are the only thing I watch that's Yogscast related
Sips nerd
Smoked weed for 9 years in Scotland and I've never touched anything else
Not much better than Triforce and a joint
My boss smokes alot and believes smoking is healthy. Apparently he wrote his PhD thesis on the benefits of smoking and how it cleans your lungs. He tells people about it. He goes on about he was almost a MD but decided against it because he can't handle blood so he got his PhD in philosophy from suny buffalo.
Imagine Sips just sailing from his home straight to Bristol.
Up the canal and steps off at Yogcon.
42:00 War on drugs gives them money from private prisons.
Everytime Lewis mentions something he saw on reddit, take a drink.
Please let this pod cast never end. It's so gloriously funny in these fucked up times. Lads, you're amazing.
"Ahh Ambassador, with this Triforce you are really spoiling us"
As someone who gave up smoking after 16 years a few months ago, the latter half of the podcast was making my fingers twitch...
EdinMike I switched to vaping like well over a year and half ago and smoke smell still smells amazing to me lol
Same, I quit at the beginning of our lockdown but since things have opened up and I've been out and about it's been a hard and somewhat unsuccessful struggle to stay away from the cigs
BIG WHIFF Yeh, the biggest challenge will be when going out for social drinks becomes more common...
god yea drinking and ciggs go so well.. too well
Talking investment at the end, reminds me of when Richard Branson got asked, "How do you become a millionaire?".... his reply was, "Start as a billionaire and launch a new Airline."
God I love Pyrions voices
I didn't have a time to listen to the podcast, so I fed it to my Raspberry Pi, would recommend
I love how lewis' akihabara smoking story is litterally sips' same story from one of the earliest episodes.
Pyrions cartel voice just sounds like Agent X-20 from Stingray, I love it
1:03:10
Confirmed, Pyrion doesn't use soap on his junk.
*OKEEE THE SUB IS HERE GUYS BUT IM NO CAPTAIN* legit died laughing
My grandpa is 97 and still smoking pretty often , he is still being active sweeping dead leaf outside his house and stuff
45:00 My mother's high school in Colorado had a smoking section
Re: Smoking, it is true that quitting smoking can help at any stage of life, but in many cases, within 5 years, you can reverse the damage caused by the smoking.

My cousin owns his own pizza place and he's got a big ol proper stone oven in there and it gets a pizza done in 3 minutes, it's super fun to make em
And Telsa made a lot of the basic science that Marconi "borrowed".
It's funny Lewis mentions mushrooms as the next thing legalized. Texas and Colorado are in the middle of legalization for psychedelics
Maaannn. I am literally looking at everything to have my RPi used to monitor and feed my main fish tank..... That intro dug a bit...
19:27 FWOOMP Just burned all my hair right off i tell ya
gotta say I completely agree with Pyrion at the start
(I use Arch btw)

Get a pizza steel. Heats up faster, transfers heat into the dough faster, doesn't crack if you get it too wet when it's hot.
The whole not being able to sell your product thing is why Effective Writing is a compulsory paper for computer science students at my uni
Lewis is right, most cartel submarines are basically held together with duct tape and string. There are some, however, which are believed to have been made suspiciously well lol - How do you say, "ex-navy engineers"?
Im watching this on a raspberry pi
i love lewis ripping on sips boat idea
flax's impressions are incredibly funny
Sips should get a bmx bike and do skate park videos lmao.
sailboats are easy, they make small ones that you can handle solo and just zip around and roast in the sun with bev's of your choice
I think I'm gonna go buy some rasberry pies, strap them to bricks, and throw them over the border.
I tried smoking once as a teen. Threw up for almost three hours. Never even considered it again.
Pizza Pops? Never heard of them in America and, indeed, Wikipedia says they're only available in Canada.
Lee is considers all of the north American colonies ”American”
I love this episode, thanks!
the submarine part aged well

My self made feta spinach pie is quite delicious. I have never bought pie. Pizza stone is pretty useful.
why does this style of animation remind of the the muppets? lmao
Wallace&Gromit inventions made easy is just another great thing about Raspberry Pie. And my fish feeder is going to make me a billionaire, just you watch!
Legalise drugs, end gang violence.
Pizza pops are made in my city!
Edit: we had a smoking section in my highschool too. That was mid 2010
Pflax sounded like fozzy bear with his Linux nerd voice.
Oh yeah, those disposal Fiberglass drug Submarines. Apparently they're cheap to make and then they dump the sub after like 1 time.
Good episode.
Sent from my Raspberry Pi
Just to let you know; Heroin (methadone) is legal in the UK via prescription. Our pharmacy has a couple dozen "blue script" patients
Oh; and there are few limits on free needles. Just ask for a "red" or "blue" sunglasses case
MarmaLloyd Methadone is synthetic, that’s legal as a controlled substitute. Heroin isn’t.
I would recommend the Hyundai ioniq, you can get some good deals on models that are a few years old since they made a new model in 2019, and the prices on the old one dropped quite alot.....
Its number 134 Pyrian, god. Just read the title man
woo here I am before even the first view has finished playing, at least all this lock down is good for one thing.
Lewis: Everything sucks because rich people love their money too much... And now a word from our sponsor Randy's Right and Ready Testicle Cleanser.
My father was a chain smoker, so as my mother. Never touched it, never will, can't stand the smell.
Now parties and bars are different, I don't mind there because that is part of it, but living in constant smoke? No thank you.
sips will buy any appliance in the world except a microwave huh
The lazy parts kinda relates to the yogscast. They wanted to make videos and not do the boring crap so got editors to help so they could do the fun stuff. And grew more and more as they were able to focus on content
the drug business is booming. they have never decreased the demand for them.
Its called being an efficiency expert lol
I actually just got a raspberry pi lmao
Just to host a website nothing special but the mockery remains on point
we had a smoking section outside of the school on te school grounds and i am 23 and I went to school from 2010 to 2015 so not that long ago
You know what I tell my friends when they ask what it’s like to own a boat? I say, stand under a cold shower and tear up $100 bills!
It amazes me that all three of them have no understanding of what a Hot Pocket is
Sounds nasty
The pizza oven bit reminded me of the time I hid an aerosol can in my parents fire pit in their garden and watched the chaos unfold from an upstairs window.
'The people using clingfilm when they desperately want to have sex those are the real dreamers'
if you legalize every vice than organized crime would disappear and so would most poverty
Those arcades in akihabara still allow smoking
I've smoked weed for a while and let me tell you, and other type of drug scares me. I would never do cocaine if I had a chance.
Have y'all heard of Portugal pflax is right to think the way he is thinking in regards to the drugs. Sips has no clue what he is talking about.
I have watched all of this.
These subs are built by the cartel in south america and they are only semi subsurface vessels, they cannot fully submerge, i can not speak for the occasion they bought Soviet subs tho XD
I got an Ad for painkillers during the chat about weed for medicine
