I have 2 100 foot hoses from harbor freight and want to connect them using the fittings on there. Trying to find the right size adapter to fit them together. I bought this but it does not fit as the 1 1/2 wont thread down
It's hard to say without seeing what you're working with. I went with a 2" barbed fitting to connect direct to the pump and then barbed quick connect fittings for simplicity. If you can send some pics or share a video of what you're trying to make work we can try and figure it out.
So let's say you had a 3" discharge hose, in its flat state, do you think it would slip over 3" schedule 40 pvc pipe? Granted the the discharge hose doesn't have the couplings on the ends.
Maybe? You'd have to check, but pretty sure on Sch 40 pipe the 3" is Inside Diameter. So add the thickness of the pipe wall, and I'm not sure the flex hose would stretch over it. It doesn't have a lot of stretch, it's pretty stiff. You'd have to measure the pipe you want to use and see to be most accurate. You also may find slight variations in diameter between brands, so the only way to really know is to have the materials in hand and measure them. If you try and it works out let us know!
That's odd. I haven't seen that yet, and not sure how to stop that. Maybe a high strength construction adhesive that's flexible? As long as the discharge end is clear pressure shouldn't build up.
I have the same problem. I think I'll try the original "JB Weld" on the holes on the discharge hoses this time. Tape didn't work. The plastic they are made of doesn't allow anything to adhere yet that I have tried. Fingers crossed.
Will this type of hose worl.for both the suction and output side?
Not for the intake. You'll need a rigid hose for the intake, or it'll collapse due to the suction.
@@SouderStationFarm thats what i thought, just wanted to make sure. Thank you for your response. Appreciate it.

Is there a difference in the thread type?
Link to parts of fittings needed for the 2 inch trash pump. I bought adapter that were 2 inch by 1 1/2 inch and they did not fit

@@SouderStationFarm ok thank you. Yeah it's inside diameter and I think a 1/4 inch wall thickness.
I keep getting pin hole leaks. Haven't found a good way to patch them yet.

the harbor freight hose is 1 1/5 not two inch hose and makes connecting impossible
That seems like an odd size.
