- Another masterpiece from "Morbid Angel" and this one is "Rapture", the opening track of the legendary "Covenant" album printed in 1993.

Three particular songs that made me believe Trey is not just a good songwriter but a real genius:

According to his iq he is a actual genius. His mum says so.

Covenant is one of my very favorite albums from Morbid Angel.

One thing for future considerations... using two or more different guitars for covers. Nothing wrong with a Warlock- I proudly brandished one for 20 years- but maybe something brighter as a second guitar to get a bit of a feel in the mix. (If available, an older Jackson Rhoads is never a bad thing IMHO)

Spirituality1980 I'm reasonably sure they only tune in Eb standard for 6 strings, 7 strings same deal but down to Bb standard. I think God of Emptiness and maybe World of Shit too use the 7s.

Spirituality1980 Covenant is a mixed bag. :) Some songs are in 6 strings in Eb (Rapture, Vengeance is Mine) while some are in 7 strings Bb (World of Shit, Blood on My Hands). Cheers!
shadowalk Thanks, bro! A friend of mine also met Tret but in person, not online like me, and told him that he's the best Metal guitarist. And I don't think that's exhaggerated. Maybe Chuck Schuldiner (R.I.P.) would have been a strong competitor for Trey. But other than Chuck, no one comes to mind that is as good as Trey.

I'm trying to learn this song by ear right now because there appears to be no decent tabs. Some of the riffs aren't to difficult to learn but some are a nightmare on account of the atonal nature and distortion of the riffs. It also doesn't help they are all played in a low register.

Have you heard of Fleshgod Apocalypse? I haven't seen you cover them so I assumed no. Please check them out if you haven't already, they're an awesome (symphonic) tech-death band. And Bloodshot Dawn and Ouroboros are very cool too.
