Xbox One disc not loading FIX!

- This is a possible fix to your Xbox One disc problems. If you find your disc doesn't load, run or show up anywhere then this could be your problem.
The part inside that draws the disc in sometimes doesn't draw the disc in fully, meaning the disc never had a chance to spin, thus it couldn't load up.
Tilting the Xbox One up a bit allows it to fall correctly into place.

something else i found that may work is holding your xbox power button down until the xbox force turns off, leave it like that for a min or two then turn it back on, i could hear the disc spinning on mine, but it still wasn’t starting.

I had to delete my blueray app and then hard reset my xbox, holding the power button for 10 seconds until it shuts off. That fixed my issue completely!!!

that's a different issue, sounds like a dirty optical lens. you could try using a cleaning cd. cost $3 - $6 on Ebay.
I mean it pissed me off yesterday because I tried to see what it was doing, went to the Microsoft website all I can say it was a fucking headache the only thing that fucking loads are the games that don't have a disc and it wanted me to download the game "because there was no disc" THE FUCKING DISC WAS IN THERE THE WHOLE TIME.
I'm having a. Problem with one disc so I bought me a new copy when I got out of school and I can play it now
i had a game pass error according all the time... i checked all the solutions possible. all my discs worked except for two games (gta 5 and halo 5) they both couldn't boot up right and I noticed that the gta 5 disc everytime I booted it up... it kept getting harder to hit once I get booted it up. it was a very huge struggle and it started to take hours to try to boot up my gta 5. I decided to check about the game pass error problem, that wasn't the case here as it's technically a scam. I told my friends that there's no way it's my console because other games can boot up just perfectly fine. I decided to buy a new disc and apparently... it was the problem. not saying this trick doesn't work because it does for me when all my discs are having a problem booting up. this only works if your console is glitched up or disc tray laser is messed up (or other things)
It’s not working for me, i insert my disc, and i hear a loud noise and sounds like the disc spinning, I’ll either get that message or saying check my disc, and the disc is new

🔥 My Xbox was in a vertical position and it would NOT read the Disc, I placed it in Horizontal Position and it worked! However, I STILL HATE XBOX!! I wasted like 10mins making a profile that I don’t care for! I JUST WANNA PLAY THE GAME🤬😤

Sometimes there's no need of doing this just restart your Xbox one or Xbox one s by holding the power button for a few seconds then letting it rest for a few minutes I hope this works for you because it worked for me good luck

Put it in energy saving mode so it boots slower. Then do reboot mine works now

Theres an easier way to do this and ive been doing it on my day one xbox since the second year. I know this is an old video, but for the new people: Insert the disc with your finger in the disc hole halfway until the disc drive tries to pull it, count to 1 and let it spin on your finger and let it go and your disc should read! If you held it too long the drive will stop pulling. Take it out and try it again until it pulls it it self. It works everytime for me. Been doing it for years. The spindle mechanism isnt pulling the disc in far enough to read it. Youre welcome
Thanks, I was pretty pissed when I tried installing cod modern warfare and nothing happened. Strange thing is bluerays played but not games.
Annoying that the supposedly superior xbox one x has this issue only a year since purchase.
Going to contact Microsoft to see if this is a known issue like Nintendo joycons with free repairs.

Playstation had the same problem too you know. Remember the PS2 slims that came out and some of them had technical issues? my dad had to go through a few of those back then until I got the fat model which worked for years until it broke. The PS3 models even had the same problem when they came out.

Ok this didn't work for me, my game that I just got, wont even load to install but other games do, i tried cleaning it, tilting the xbox, restarting it, everything, a new game and it doesn't work...
my brother jammed 2 disc into it and since then the disc drive as sucked it takes hours to get it working im going to get repaired which i have tried this before and it worked (before disc jam) So i think its broken now because one day disc games were not playable at all and it has a hard time ejecting discs

I Just Tried To Restart It While Doing It And It Loaded It Up I Think It Sits In There And Doesn’t Want To Run And I Decided To Restart It And It Worked
My xbox reads discs, i tested it with the blu-ray player, and it plays the blu-rays fine. The option to launch game discs is just gone, and i can't find a way to manually trigger it like i can with the blu-ray app.

I had an issue with disc not working all of a sudden. I did a factory reset, still didn't work. I then switched off console and unplugged it for 20mins, I rebooted and it works again (something about unplugging resets cache)
My Xbox’s optical drive works just fine. I know this as the disk spins and it can run one game. But for some reason it can’t run any other game. I don’t understand as of it can run one game and work perfectly well (without fail) surely there’s nothing different about the disks to prevent every other game from running?
Just bought cyberpunk disc cos it was more expensive digitally and it won't work. Doesn't show up at all and the tilt hung doesn't work. Wtaf
Also note that moving a console with a disk inside is very risky. It could scratch the disk all to shit and make it unplayable. That happened to my brother on Xbox 360 with Guitar Hero Metallica. I doubt it won't happen with Xbox One as that is generally how consoles roll but one can hope, I suppose.
For anyone who tried this and didn't work TRY FACING YOUR XBOX ONE TO ANOTHER SIDE. ROTATE 90 DEGREES LEFT OR RIGHT THEN TRY AGAIN
Thank you..I knew about the tilt already but I wasn't tilting mines high enough the video showed me it's ok to tilt it a little bit higher.....I will note that this problem is getting worse I found out about the tilt about a year ago and the slight tilt use to do the trick the fact that I have to tilt it higher makes me concerned for the future
