LOVE LOVE LOVE Art of Animation Resort.
Very interesting about the Halloween party. I suspect you're correct it's option three, and I think that's a good thing. Something has to break at some point for things to start changing
I love the atmosphere of the family resorts or value resorts whatever you want to call them 😊 thanks Michael!!!!
Sooo we just never going to know how the pickle was?
Disney world vlogs are my favorit!
Hiii Michael..
We loved AOA during our 2018 Christmas trip! Sadly that's been our last trip as of right now.😔
For us , yes it's the cost! We are a family of 5 and it's just not affordable for us right now.
In the past we have only planned a 5 day trip. Which isn't very long but it used to be doable financially. Now it's triple the cost for a family of 5 and no dining plan! Which means we'd be budgeting food costs too! 🙄
I know we will return one day. For now I will live vicariously through you and other friends who bring us the magic!
💖💖💖
I absolutely love AOA!! 🧜🏻♀️ 🚘 🦁 🐠 The suites are spacious and well themed. The proximity to the skyliner-priceless!!
AOA is great expect for the little mermaid rooms... they are a LONG WALK after a long day at the park. 😀
I like it back in the day when you would come for a week i also loved seeing your parents miss that.
I would really love to see you try camping at Fort Wilderness!
I think a forgotten restaurant is Maya Grill at Coronado Springs! I thinkbsn updated review on that restaurant would be great!
I really enjoyed this video , we’ve never stayed here (and probably never will, we are big fan of AKL)
but it’s cool to see other resorts in detail , look forward to see other resort review videos !
I am 100% against virtual queues, especially when combined with ILL. With virtual queues gone in under 2 seconds(is basically a lottery system for handing out fast passes), you can know what to do and have paid your $100 + for a park ticket and still have no option but to pay more to go on the ride you want.
I firmly believe that lines will self-regulate, because the longer the lines get the fewer people are willing to wait in them. Look at ROR when virtual queues went away did the wait times jump up to 4 hours no. Most days the wait time sits around 2 hours.
I can understand using virtual queues opening days/weeks for crowd control. This might be the difference between some living in Orlando and someone the visits 1- time every 3ish years. Where you are not creating a small list of must-dos, for your trip, because you will be back in a week and will have multiple changes over a year to try for the virtual queue. Someone like me is willing to wait in the 2-hour long line for a must-do and not stress about the lottery system that is virtual queues.
I love your videos Michael but disagree with this point.
I have a scheduled Disney trip for Epcot’s 40th anniversary, I was able to get Mickey’s not so scary tickets for September 29th which is perfect timing, I’m super excited and hoping for low crowds 👻🤞🏽🎃
Love these kind of vlogs. Also really enjoyed staying in the suites at AOA.
I agree with other theme parks in the area that do not have a reservation system anymore I think that’s going to lead people to the other choices and then also I agree with you with the pricing they’re going to pay some cells to the point where the other choices that you have in Orlando for theme parks are going to be a better choice to go to because you’re going to get the most for your money there
Opinion three is correct. Recently canceled a plan trip due to price increase, cut backs, recent bad experience and negative press all heart breaking
The number one question is, how was the pickle!?
Good morning from México 🌧️ day here, love your videos.
Thanks for sharing
this is one of my favorites its such an amazing resort
My favorite resort on Disney property🐭🐭
Thanks for the review! Staying here next time👍 Where exactly were you when you could see the fireworks? Was that near the skyliner station?
Let’s face it,if you want really good food at Disney World go to the Springs.
Back when Mickey's not so scary was $100 that was a lot to pay for some free candy and some free ice cream and popcorn. Last year when I went Oct 2021 it was $150 a person. The fact that it's now almost $200 it's just not worth it.
Capacity increase + option 3
I think having the Mickey not so scary Halloween party well into August just kind of ruins the experience. It should begin maybe September 1. I think two months of it is plenty. It’s still summer in August
I live in Kissimmee. My family were here in May from Canada. They were going to book for a trip here in November but the air fare has doubled in price! Gas prices along with Disneys huge increase in prices are going to affect the decision on travel. Once people have been this year ,after being unable to travel for the last two years , I think they will think twice about coming next year. Will be interesting to see if 2023 will be quieter.
I really enjoyed the pork sandwich at the cafe at art of animation in October of last year. don't know if it's still there.
Working on an mid-Sept trip for my birthday. Taking advantage of that Disney+ discount. AKL has some incredible rates. Little disappointed with the amount of perks for Deluxe resort guests currently. Might just opt for Pop Century and the Skyliner and spend that savings elsewhere. The boys want lightsabers!
Keep the update coming!
It’s probably a combination of all 3 scenarios. If you’re an out of stater, then a Disney trip these days is mad expensive. If you’re a Florida native, it’s still expensive but at least you can drive to and from relatively quickly. Inflation’s a helluva a drug. And in these times, blue collar families are biting the bullets the hardest, which I would think is Disney’s biggest client. But what do I know
I think there are too many MNSSHP. When there are so many the crowds are spread out more. Which may be good for those going. It's bad for the people who want to enjoy Magic Kingdom in the evening without the party.
Prices most definitely don't help, and the worry some people have that you can't get on a decent amount of rides without genie+, isn't going to help either. I don't know if it's the same there, but some things here aren't being booked until last minute since the uncertainty of the last 2yrs.
Will they let just anyone in to eat there? or do you have to park somewhere else.or be someone who stays there. I know over Spring Break they were a little picky as to who could or could not eat there.
I can never park at a resort without a restaurant reservation, I don't know how he does it.
We are coming down during the Halloween Party. We thought about coming, but decided against it. Two factors contributed to our decision. The first was the initial shock over the price increase, but the main reason was previous bad experiences with the Halloween Party. The first time we went was great. The last time we went you could tell Disney had way oversold the event with the party pass system in place. It was severely overcrowded over normal park attendance plus several of the rides went down only increasing the problem.
Can't wait to see a pressed penny video. If you have any questions about them I'd be happy to help. Lots to know and plenty to find all around Disney!
I have a friend that was going to go to MNSSHP but is not now due to price. But I have another friend that is still going. I've been before but would not go back at those prices.
Love the Art of Animation but I never stayed there before. I think Disney is defintily for family. I'm going to my first Halloween party this year and i'm so excitied
Never been to MNSSHP, but this will be a one and done.
Great resort... my rule of thumb is anything prepackaged is usually a miss.
We are cruising in September and had thought about doing MNSSHP but ultimately decided the price was too much for one evening. Especially since we are already spending so much on the cruise and staying on property one night after the cruise. Prices seem to be getting out of hand for everything there.
I’ll be heading to the Parks in September. I booked everything a couple months ago, including my flight. It was high back then, anyone booking now…especially for a family… is looking at a hefty price tag there alone. I considered Mickeys Not So Scary but the way my Park reservations are it doesn’t work and I don’t want to cancel them and rebook. I’m sure it’s easy enough but this trip is a much needed escape and I don’t feel like adding any more hurdles to it.
I’m coming down with my family in about a week or so. How do you feel the crowds are since school let out? I know everyone has been itching for a vacation for a few years now. Just wondering if inflation has kept a lot of people away or not really.
My guess is that Disney raised the capacity for the MNSSHP. We’ll see how crowded it is!
Are the MNSS party not filling up because people are unable to get reservations for those days?
Freestyle has Pibb!!! And of course it's out. Worst thing about Disney food is no Dr Pepper or alternative.
I agree! Disney is best with friends and family. 🥰
It's too pricey, I thought they would have the party pass for passholders just to get people going but there's no offers just the 10$ they always do.
The chicken Alfredo with garlic bread at AoA is pretty decent for counter service.
The decor at this resort is great!
Michael this is my favorite and number one resort i love it there top video for the day for me second best is pop cuntury resort. And i am age 43 my daughter love it there to.❤🙃👍🏽👍🏽
This was my DCP home location and my CP ended last week. This resort has the best cast on property!
Disney took a stand, now guests are choosing other options. Consequences
