I've always just followed Paul Rand's advice to just try to be good: good design. The fancy visual tricks and textural beauty are things I've always deferred, quite successfully, though with a tinge of regret. Now, after 20 years in Illustrator, I'm focusing this year on beautifying my new designs. Turns out that Blend is behind most of the pretty stuff. 😝
When you resize the line object, you can use the Free Transform tool (shortcut E key) and it will add a bounding box with corner and side nodes. Hold Shift while dragging a corner node to maintain proportion. It's not necessary to fiddle with the Properties panel. If you do this with "Scale Strokes & Effects" (in the Transform panel drop-down menu) turned on, the stroke weight and zigzag values will scale along with the size. Properties panel is good for transforming to specific dimensions, though
Very good video. At 1:01 , what is the colour code for the colour on the left side of the rectangle? In the description, I can find the colour code for the light blue on the right side, but not for the darker blue on the left side.
I think I may be hung up on something that is a simple fix. I am unable to see an asterisk when I hover over my first object. Instead I can see I square box with a circle in the middle that looks similar to the transform icon in the transform panel. What am I missing here?
Very helpful tutorial. I created two of these blends and then tried to intertwine them. Crashes illustrator everytime. Is there a way to reduce the complexity of these objects, while maintaining the path that defines the spine?
umm i was trying this one but specifically I found some issue that its not blending the way its blended on the video. In my case its just making some copies. any possible solutions for me?? I'm beginner btw.
Mine end up with jagged edges. You have to zoom in to see it. Tried different blend distances but still there. What did I miss? Thanks for the tutorial!
@@LADALIDI same thing happened to me. Exported as JPG and it makes it zoomed out so you see the parts outside of the artboard. I just cropped the JPG later though but still a bit weird.
Wow, this is the most clearest tutorial for Illustrator that I’ve ever watched. Thank you!
Ur welcome 🥰
@@LADALIDI your are great such a nice impact on me of this vedio .

Thanks man.
I added some grain and a slight 1px gaussian blur for some texture, and it's perfect.
*this is the most clearest tutorial for Adobe Illustrator that I've ever watched. Thank you!* *_For Sharing_*
5:20 If you check Scale Stroke and Styles, it should resize properly, without the need to change wave size manually, i think.
I heard that Illustrator and Photoshop have removed support for Pantone colors. If so, how do you access them now?
The way you explain how Illustrator works really worth the subs! Thank you so very much
Thanks ☺️

u see that little cog option button on the bottom near the fullscreen button? if u click on that u can chose to slow it down or speed it up. i
That was awesome
Thanks
Very helpful tutorial. I created two of these blends and then tried to intertwine them. Crashes illustrator everytime. Is there a way to reduce the complexity of these objects, while maintaining the path that defines the spine?
Found a workaround. Start with a low number of steps for the blend --> Intertwine --> Increase number of steps as much as you want/need it.
How would I add more colors/layers to this, besides the two, yellow and pink?
💘❣ so simple, yet lovely!
It really worked for me after I look and try some tutorials, yours is the one that worked. Owe you a lot.
Amazing, clear and easy to follow tutorial bro

Awesome. Could use a bit more input on which setting affects what, though. Like when he says "2 pixels is enough" --what does that mean?

AMAZING,thank you.Can we make a brush with it?
I haven't tried before, but I think it's a good idea 💡💡
Great video, how would I delete everything outside the blue background since clipping mask won't let me ?
you can only hide it with a clipping mask

Again a great tutorial. May I ask why you use a computer voice? A guess: do you have a strong Indian accent?
First I'm not good in english, Second I'm Indonesian 😄
@@LADALIDI 😀Understood. Keep up the good work!

Try 0.2 pixel in blend distance
it is influenced by the size of the document you create, the smaller the pixels of the document you create the smaller the blend distance will be
Make sure you select specified distance (3rd option) , instead of specified steps when you open the blend tool.
well explained, thanks!
Thanks
Amazing ❤️
good one.. i will definitely going to try it.. 👍
Thanks Dear.
where can I found your color palette
Great job! Much thanks!
Ur welcome 👌
hello , when i save this all the parts that are trimmed outside of the border appear again , any ideas what to do?
U save as jpg or what?
@@LADALIDI same thing happened to me. Exported as JPG and it makes it zoomed out so you see the parts outside of the artboard. I just cropped the JPG later though but still a bit weird.
When u save as jpg it a check mark "use artboqrds" so only inside the artboard will export
@@LADALIDI yeah I figured it out, but thanks for the answer :) Great video btw, showed all my classmates
