    Haha. I'll never forget my first. The most important thing is we learn and we grow. It's just amazing that we have such a strong community to help guide the path for the newcomers. I really want to give back as much as I can because you all were a huge inspiration when I started my journey many years ago now. See you soon!

    That first low-paying job is almost like noob-tax. The more clients (and experience) you get, the lower the tax, until one day it disappears completely...sort of.

    This is excellent solid advice for anyone starting out and also for more experienced developers to remember how important the basic fundamentals are to running your business. Your experience from the 90's brings back many memories for me. Wouldn't it have been great to have someone like you to turn to for advice back then, rather than having to learn from mistake after mistake each time. Keep up the good work., really enjoying the tutorials and live sessions.

    Not sure how developers did it in the 90s, stack overflow didn't exist till 2008 😂

    "a bit of a challenge"? most people would have given up after first few "what is a website?" You did the hard work. Selling something a potential client doesn't even know about is very hard work. Admirable.

      @@WonderFilledMedia I used to have a small jungle of real plants but travel was an issue. If you get good quality artificial plants, they look very realistic.
