As a jew who lives in Israel, I have a number of things to say about this: First of all, it's PATHETIC from marvel to think that they can buy my adoration by having a character with my ethnicity in their comics. Still, maybe I owe Kevin Feige a public apology, though it's unlikely to be read by him. However, Marvel going to Woke Disney was a bad move, and has compromised the franchise. I am not that hopeful about Phase 5, and there are already huge cracks over the next Avengers film, title and content. I was already a bit uncomfortable with the scene of Steve Rogers in the support group in 'Endgame', but it was still a real stonker of a film which I enjoyed, and both 'Black Panther' and 'Black Widow', as origin-based stories. However, watching 'Wakanda Forever' was a bit cringy. Disney might stump up monies for future films and shows, but they need to keep their DEI/CRT/LBGTQ++ noses out of what is meant to be action-adventure superheroism. If we want real-life issues in our films, we would watch things with Cher and Bette Midler in it. And I don't wish to. And I hope Sony keeps hold of Spider Man, and keeps the Mouse far away. However, Marvel going to Woke Disney was a bad move, and has compromised the franchise. I am not that hopeful about Phase 5, and there are already huge cracks over the next Avengers film, title and content. I was already a bit uncomfortable with the scene of Steve Rogers in the support group in 'Endgame', but it was still a real stonker of a film which I enjoyed, and both 'Black Panther' and 'Black Widow', as origin-based stories. However, watching 'Wakanda Forever' was a bit cringy.
Disney might stump up monies for future films and shows, but they need to keep their DEI/CRT/LBGTQ++ noses out of what is meant to be action-adventure superheroism. If we want real-life issues in our films, we would watch things with Cher and Bette Midler in it. And I don't wish to. And I hope Sony keeps hold of Spider Man, and keeps the Mouse far away.
