Thank you for a great year of producing the best rail-related content on TH-cam. Your videos never cease to please. Happy new year, @SouthCoastRailVideos!
I always love seeing these switching-type engines.. They are so different and unusual to see outside of a traditional yard switching setting, seeing them pull rolling stock any distance is interesting and attention-getting!
SCRV: when track is upgraded, are new rails and ties installed and the old ones removed/recycled/discarded? Really appreciate your dedication to this channel and subject matter. Great work. Cheers.
On the GU it looks like they’ve done a little of both. I believe some parts of the line have the original rails with new ties as other sections have all “new”/relay material.
Nice video and happy New Year! I know this is off topic, just want to report on the Falmouth secondary, the Falmouth Enterprise is now entering the fray by running an article and pictures of how many carloads Cavossa is shipping. They had a misleading photo of a 2 car train. I don’t know where they got it, but the insinuation was that the line was underutilized.
Yeah, there are MC's Green "Energy Train" Cars next to 2007, which don't run on the Falmouth line. Given as The Enterprise captions it as from UCRTA (on the Falmouth line, where energy train cars don't run) it's probably from somewhere else.
@@bailey-critter That’s probably not going to happen. Just have to ignore the noise and Mass coastal keeps shining those rails and hopefully this blows over. This has to be an unprecedented onslaught where an active rail line is under attack by rails to trails people. I just wish someone from the state dot would just shut them down once and for all.
Thanks for watching! They seemed to have estimated low again. Either way future plans will have increased carloads so their current estimates won’t matter much.
Looks like success. Clean Railroad, rail & ballast, with loads moving.
Man look at the hustle and bustle, glad to see a revival. Makes me wonder where else this can happen.
Thanks for watching!
Love those switchers. A true favorite of mine. That line has a lot of power there.

This railroad appears to have some big plans here, around the 24:00 mark, as i see this massive land clearing project.
The 2 train cars that was screaming was the breaks locked on them or was the wheels rubbing against the rails?
What is that flashing light at 4:47 ?
Those CSX sw1200 series?
