    I think too many people see Rebels as a kids show and honestly, its some of the most important information in the star wars universe. To see a non character from the original epic learn about the force and see the transformation of Jannus, even though we see Vader and Yoda, it introduced the inquisitors, Thrawn and some other characters that added body and life to what was feeling a bit stale. I know its not going to happen, but if Ezra is found, I would love to see additional Rebel stories come from that.

      Ezra will definitely be coming back, though it won't be in regards to Rebels. That being said I think he's likely to encounter most of the Spectre Crew again in Ashoka as we already know a lot of the crew has been cast! I definitely agree that it's very important to the Star Wars universe and has actually added a ton of lore to it!

      My kids just recently got me to watch Rebels. I was blown away by how good it was. Did Ezra really get hate? There were times when he did or said stuff that frustrated me, but it was all in line with his life & upbringing. Plus it showed how he needed to grow while on his hero's journey.
      So much could be done with him still, although how the Rat handles Star Wars makes me want them to stay away from him & the rest of the Spectre crew.

      @@markuhler2664 when rebels first aired and up until after it ended Ezra got the brunt of the hate people had for the show because everyone was put off on how drastically different Rebels was from Clone Wars tone wise and a lot of people blamed Ezra for this because of how plucky and quippy he was for the first two seasons, and then he was hated for having an on and off again relationship with the dark side and was seen as unnecessarily edgy, all that being said though Rebels is seeming to get alot more attention lately and people are changing their minds akin to how the Prequel hate cooled off once the Sequel trilogy started

    Ezra to me is the character with the most potential in the entire cast of Rebels. The fact that he connects to so much and shows so much potential that the Grand Inquisitor, Seventh Sister, Darth Vader, Darth Maul, and Palpatine all show interest in him suggests to me that Ezra could be on par with Ahsoka and Luke in terms of power if he was in the right circumstances to learn more. He could follow in his great-grandmaster Mace Windu's footsteps and learn how to use Vaapad to harness and control his dark side tendencies and learn to balance himself, unlike Anakin.

    Ezra finding the holocron and lightsaber was no accident. When Kanan saw Ezra jump while he was trying to get away from them he knew it wasn’t a normal jump and suspected Ezra was force sensitive. Kanan left them there for Ezra to find. This is why Hera says “he passed the test, he opened the holocron”.

    • @unfocusedfox
      @unfocusedfox  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good catch! Kanan definitely knew something was up with Ezra from that first jump and it makes sense since that was one of the few times we saw Kanan not wearing his lightsaber on him

    • @lilchaos9212
      @lilchaos9212 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, when they first meet Ezra senses Kanan in the force and Kanan himself, despite not letting himself be a Jedi/follow their teachings at that point, senses Ezra too. He looks directly at where Ezra is. That lends credence to the idea that Ezra's input in the force was strong enough that even Kanan, not opening himself up to the force, was able to sense him. But he didn't KNOW it was Ezra he felt until Ezra managed to avoid all the stormtroopers, the Ghost Crew, and saw him use a force jump unconsciously. From the start Ezra was powerful, but untrained, and Kanan noticed that.

      @@unfocusedfox for me the best option/path for Ezra would be a Revan like situation.
      While i don't expect Ezra to come back with a space fleet to invade the Republic i see him understanding Thraw motive to defend the Galaxy and the Chiss against the Grisks.
      Here in the unknow regions he will fight off the Grisks (i probably spell it wrong) at Thraw side. Meanwhile he will probably become even more aware of how cruel war can be because since he will become Thraw number 1 agent for dangerous missions he will also witness how to lead a war from the top where he will need to make choices and sacrifices to win the wars.
      The war against the grisks on both the fighting and the planning will force him to adapt.
      His years at Thraw's side and the cunning he gained from his childhood in the streets and his teenagehood in Rebellion have developped his strategic planning (even if not at Thraw's level) making him a capable commander who can lead fleet into battle, besiege a planet or a commando raids behind enemy's lines.
      Also he may help the chiss with there Skywalkers and maybe find to a solution for them to keep the Force even in adulthood forcing him to have a bunch of apprentice.
      Now come the question which change with every star wars media : can he master both sides of the Force ? Since Rebels didn't seems against this idea (Bendu) then yes if not (some star wars media will say you can only master one side) he will stay a light side users but closer to legends Luke in terms of mindset and won't have a problem using powers like Force lighting or Force domination (as far as i understand the Dark side is pretty much 'too much power too soon' which corrupt people but most power from the Force can be used by both side for exemple Yoda could use the Force lighting without consequence).
      Also an interesting concept would be Ezra using his gift for visions/premonitions to active it on will and use it in combat to predict his enemy's move either in duel or leading a battle.
      This power combined with Thraw's genius could turn them into an unstopable duo.
      And last but not least his ability to connect with animals but even more enhanced from his years in the unknow regions where he could connect with almost any life form (or submit them through the Force) even the most little of them (like bacteria or virus).
      So the whole dynamic of the reunion between Ezra and Sabine (also Ahsoka) will be Sabine trying to adapt to an Ezra who have changed a lot in a decade, going from wholesome space Aladin with corny joke to a man who is crushed by his duties and doubts about his methods/means but will still carry it to the end because someone must do it and this someone is him.
      All of this in a middle of a war because could this reay be a star wars romancd if the Galaxy's fate isn't at stack ? (Though this time i would like an happy ending unlike Anakin and Padme, Obi Wan and Satine, Han and Leia, Luke and Mara, Kanan and Hera or Revan and Bastila even if technically they all found each others soul mates inside the Force after their death)

    • @unfocusedfox
      @unfocusedfox  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah those ideas seem like they could definitely be in line with what could happen! I definitely agree that a lot will have probably changed in the last decade so he won't be the same happy kid he used to be! But I also hope there's a happy ending with Sabine....to many tragedies in Star Wars haha

    Firstly, "The World Between Worlds" is NOT exactly time travel. We are never told what it is or what and where those gates are. Until confirmation is made, we can only guess. Whatever that answer may be you failed in even mentioning the most notable and intriguing events in Ezras history. Both Moria(The Sister) and Palpatine himself were aware of Ezra within the world between worlds. Moria guiding Ezra to Ahsoka and taking her from the moment Ezra witnessed her in AND Palpatine trying to capture them both to make them "his at last". One possibly to gain access to the "World Between Worlds". But another leaves us questioning any reasons or explanations as Palpatine has Thrawn bring Ezra to him. Having reconstructed a portion of the temple that holds a door into the "World Between Worlds"....Tempting Ezra with a return to his parents. Seemingly not a time traveling moment. My suggestion about the "World Between Worlds" is that it may be more than mere time travel. 6It may very will be a dimensional crosswords, a nexus of sorts. Its use can be for really anything. But how did Palpatine know of it and how was he aware when Ezra had entered it? Most importantly why did he want to make Ahsoka and Ezra "his at last"? If Palpatine seemed ahead of the game on practically eveything...he already knew of Luke and Leia. No real attempts to even bother with them. But Ezra especially.....why? Fillioni always said they(Lucas and himself) wanted to tell the story of Star Killer. We were told by Lucas himself that Star Killer was canon. Recently though we know that what was canon about Star Killer was removed. Why? Could it be so they could retell it their way? With so much build up to #WheresEzra could it be that Ezra was subjugated into service and became Star Killer? Are we about to get an epic re-telling of Star Killers story? Think about Ezras journey compared to what was known about Star Killers. From a blind teacher to Vaders offer to train him. Hmmmmm.... Yes. You are VERY correct in stating the importance of Ezra Bridger and the future of Star Wars.

    • @unfocusedfox

      Great analysis! There is so much more nuance to Ezra than I could fit in a 20 minute video with him so this was really designed just to be scratching the surface for people who may not be as familiar with him! I could probably do an entire series just based on this one character! Haha
      There was another person here that mentioned the Star Killer thing which I think could be extremely interesting and Thrawn is also not one to throw away talent but he would put it to use, so I assume he's found a way to put Ezra to use. I'm really excited to see where they take the character next though!

    With the build up of Thrawn in Mandolorian, I am thinking Ezra may play a similar role to C’Boath, like in the original Timothy Zahn trilogy.
    There’s alot of possible drama and emotion in the potential of Ezra on the side of Thrawn, against Din Jarin, Sabine, Ashoka etc,
    As well as giving a force sensitive threat going ahead in this Filoni era

    • @unfocusedfox

      That would be really interesting for Ezra to not be on Ashoka and Sabine's side when they meet cause most people are expecting a happy reunion but considering Ezra is probably back but hasn't sought out his old friends it would make a lot of sense!

    Uhh, Travis didn't capture Kanan? His public denouncement of the Spectres might have indirectly led to Kanan's capture I guess, but that was actually the work of Tarkin when he got personally involved. This might not seem like it means much but that message of hope Kanan sacrificed himself to allow Ezra to beam out was crucial to the Rebellion showing up at Mustafar, and more importantly to a video that's literally a character study of Ezra, it directly connects him to his parents and the spark of hope and rebellion he generally symbolizes.

    • @unfocusedfox
      @unfocusedfox  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good catch, I should've said "Kanan ends up getting captured" instead! Flying through 4 seasons of material in 20 minutes you definitely lose some nuance but I hope my videos on these characters inspires some people to watch the show themselves so that they can experience those sorts of details like you mentioned!

    Ezra may be the Chosen One (theory). He may be the only one (other than Ahsoka) with the experience and perspective to bring balance to the Force. Reasoning being, remember he and Luke are only a day apart in age, so by the time Kenobi starts training Luke, Ezra had gained the knowledge of the Jedi and Sith Holocrons, mastering his control over the Light and Dark side of the Force and he knew the way of the Bendu (Grey side Jedi). He lost his Jedi Master, to only gain a Force spirit guide. Rebuked Maul as his Sith Master. He's overcome a spell of the Force-sensitive Nightsisters and he experienced the World Between Worlds. He also mastered the rare Force ability of beast control. Ezra had discovered and gained more knowledge of the Force than Luke may have ever discovered, certainly before Luke even knew about the Force. I think Ezra could be the strongest Jedi yet. I'm looking forward to his storyline being continued by Filoni and seeing what he does with Ezra's character arc in upcoming D+ shows.

      Definitely an interesting theory! I'm curious as to how his development as a Jedi has been impacted since the events of Rebels now that it's been about ten years since we last saw him and he's presumably been with Thrawn for quite some time!

    If Disney hadn't murdered Luke it would have been awesome to see Ezra help build a New an improved Jedi school. And Kanan had the best death of any Jedi in my personal view . Very honorable. Dying in hope of a new order someday. And the resistance winning in the long run .

      @@unfocusedfox He had a beautiful death . And this is Star Wars , Like Luke said nobody is ever really gone. But there is sooo much that they could do with this character. In canon rite now. And or the whole Ghost crew as well. If I had ruled the magical world of Disney. The Ghost Crew would have got Andor 's spot. Plus let's remember there is a half Twi'lek out there ,that's age would fit in the timeline for rite now fairly well.

    Your narrative of almost every episode was good but your interpretation was way off and especially if you understand Star wars Canaan. EZRA has deep connections to the force in different ways than other Jedi. Kanan is a lot more powerful than you give him credit for. Remember he was able to do what Anakin couldn't. He showed that Jedi could have relationship and attachment I'm not succumb to the dark side. That's why he was knighted at the temple by guards that look like the Grand Inquisitor. Ezra is able to connect and had abilities other Jedi did not. Kanan Depot. At the same time knowing his demise was coming. He was able to use the force like Obi-Wan Qui-Gon jinn and speak to Rey and fight the sith Lord. 😲😅. Ezra did not need to be on that ship with Thrawn. It was the inconsistent lighting and the lack of how we got the new lightsaber as well as Disney that ruined much of Star wars. Ezra and Kanan are Awesome. Their own escapade showed how the Jedi before fell way short in blindly fighting a war and supporting the wrong people. Ezra was impulsive and was too easily fooled by Darth maul. How AHSOKA and Kanan did not immediately stop any interaction with Maul is ridiculous. He did cause KANAN to let his guard down and yet KANAN defeated Maul
    Blind and hurt when Maul was fighting AHSOKA and asked why are you running and she said you need to fight him first. Kanan made quick work of Maul. Then saved Ezra and Like Leia used the force in Space to survive against Maul again. OBI wan took out Maul in twin suns with maybe three moves. Form 3. The reason why they can't go crazy on both of them is because that it would be belittle Luke saving the Galaxy!!! 😢

      What's your beef with Aladdin?

    • @MatthewChenault
      @MatthewChenault 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@unfocusedfox, Ezra is too much of an Aladdin-style character without many of the attributes that made Aladdin interesting.
      In some ways, he suffers from “Thomas the Tank Engine” syndrome; as in being within the plot of the show even when it’s best to not include him.
      He is, at best, decent. Nothing to write home about nor to be acclaimed. For a character who is meant to be the main character - the character we see the world through - he’s not compelling.
      By contrast, Kanan was what intrigued me more, considering he had something to latch onto in the beginning and showed the most promise as a character. If the show focused more on him and Ezra came along later on (in a similar vain to how Anakin was introduced in Episode I), then it would have been more of a compelling show that might have gotten me to watch it.

    • @unfocusedfox
      @unfocusedfox  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fair enough! I think that even though he is mostly the main character, most of the Spectre Crew gets involved enough that it isn't one person carrying the show. I think particularly the story of these Rebels picks up in season 3 where most of the characters begin to really be challenged. That being said I definitely understand why the show didn't land with everyone!
