The only way to get the full framerates is by using a steamvr headset or any headset that doesn't use video streaming and connects directly into the computer

I have a Ryzen 3200g with intergrated graphics , I had steam vr on and a game called Aircar running..It was a little choppy at times but ran just fine with my oculus quest 2 with link cable.I have 16g of ram
Ryzen APUs simply puts the intel ones to the ground, specially when running in dual channel. for more info about the iGPU world, i recommend the LowSpecGamer's yt channel
Can you please try Ice or Tiger Lake iGPUs? The UHD 620 on 8th Gen outputs 384GFLOPS while the "G7" 96EU on 10th/11th Gen outputs 1,075-1,700 GFLOPS. 300-500% performance difference is pretty huge IMO. Also it seems you tested "low end VR" on a GTX 760 last year which outputs ~2,400 GFLOPS so the latest Intel "Xe G7" iGPUs will likely net you 35% less FPS or lower resolution.
ryzen 3 2200g's vega 8 actually works. it isn't like perfect 90fps 4k or something but you can definetly experience most big pcvr titles like half life alyx and still have fun
i know an apple-laptop-lover , who bought a ryzen7 laptop with integrated gpu, sharing 16gb ram. it runs win10 just fine and he "just wants to play skyrim and cloudpunk" and thinks about the topic of this video, not realizing that pcvr surely needs a gpu for the higher resolution and 120HZ and motion tracking. coludpunk gets him 10 to 20 fps without VR, so i explaoined, NOPE cloudpunk needs a non integrated gpu for all its tiny steampunk-voxels. We will see IF he can run skyrimVR at one point, IFF skyrim has decent loading times and quality on that laptop.
My notebook with UHD 11 (Probably it's UHD 750, or Internal graphics i7-11800H) running Beat Saber in 3900x1900 resolution and 120hz, absolutely good! Idk how, but it really works, and i realised that when Beat Saber choose internal graphics instead external 3060.
So, I missed a step there, when I try to connect the Oculus Quest 2 to my laptop, it straight out gives me an error that my graphics card will not allow it to connect. What are the steps to bypass that and test to see how well it works? What am I missing?
Sooooo. There has been new software hacks this year. I'd like to see another episode of this weirdness. I don't think it's going to be useable yet, but just a little more playable. I tested VR in 480p just for interest. It's kind of not that bad. Some games with little text feel borderline enjoyable.
By the way. The better iGPU does worse because you aren't limited by it's power. Lower the resolution and it's going to be better even if it feels counterintuitive. The CPO encoding is the limiting factor, even if you can render the scene, it becomes a problem to push it into the headset, and rendering takes precedence if the resources are limited. You may very well be getting some 720p gameplay out of the chip, but since it's not pushed to the headset at thet resolution, you get stutters and low quality video.
To answer on vrchat, on an intel core i3, 4gb ram vrchat will run at 15fps set to the lowest modded setting with random freezes and loading any avatar from someone else causes a crash

I just read that the new Samsung tablet 12.1 inch has more graphical power than ",most laptops"?? Can't see it... but is it possible a mobile device could work?
I have an hp laptop with Ryzen 3 3200 dual memory ram 8gb with Vaga graphics and it can run some games okay and play GTA V at 40+FPS. Even VR Chat (had to set it to the lowest setting) is playable.
NIce. I would just play Beat Saber directly on the Quest at that point. I think the tradeoff in quality for super low spec pcvr isn't worth it vs what's available directly on the Quest.

Im confused can anyone explain why lenova yoga wont work with air link??
you must have virtual deskop ? and steam vr or not
and you must have virtual descop on pc or vr SO MANY QUESTIONS
What do the devs think about FSR? Technically it's a mod. I think it will likely end up being integrated into Unity at some point but for now it's not.
I have a Ryzen 3200g with intergrated graphics , I had steam vr on and a game called Aircar running..It was a little choppy at times but ran just fine with my oculus quest 2 with link cable.I have 16g of ram
It looks like people are having much more luck with AMD APUs I think I need to do an AMD edition :D
@@TheMysticle please
Ryzen APUs simply puts the intel ones to the ground, specially when running in dual channel.
for more info about the iGPU world, i recommend the LowSpecGamer's yt channel
this would be great for game development ( so you don't have to make a quest build everytime you wanna test something )
make sure you change steamvr resolution too along with fsr!
Guide, step 1; buy dedicated gpu
I understand tat gaming is a no no, but what about making it a remote VR working rig? maybe just regular use for productivity? ty for taking a look
i know an apple-laptop-lover , who bought a ryzen7 laptop with integrated gpu, sharing 16gb ram. it runs win10 just fine and he "just wants to play skyrim and cloudpunk" and thinks about the topic of this video, not realizing that pcvr surely needs a gpu for the higher resolution and 120HZ and motion tracking. coludpunk gets him 10 to 20 fps without VR, so i explaoined, NOPE cloudpunk needs a non integrated gpu for all its tiny steampunk-voxels. We will see IF he can run skyrimVR at one point, IFF skyrim has decent loading times and quality on that laptop.
Hello, will the test be a laptop with an integrated Radeon 760M or 780M GPU with Quest 2 connected and a VRChat game running?
My notebook with UHD 11 (Probably it's UHD 750, or Internal graphics i7-11800H) running Beat Saber in 3900x1900 resolution and 120hz, absolutely good! Idk how, but it really works, and i realised that when Beat Saber choose internal graphics instead external 3060.
So, I missed a step there, when I try to connect the Oculus Quest 2 to my laptop, it straight out gives me an error that my graphics card will not allow it to connect. What are the steps to bypass that and test to see how well it works? What am I missing?
bro is the next Eminem
Mystical dropping his GPU scared this shit out of me.
That new beat saber mode is called Vaseline.
bro started spitin sum bars 11:10
OMG THANK YOU!
So what games can you play without a PC or Laptop?
can u play beat saber without pc?
can u play rec room without pc?
can u play vr chat without pc?
can u play blades and sorecy without pc?
Please can you revisit this with the new amd igpus
Do you think that if you had a gpu slightly lower than minimum it would be fine? I have an rx 550 (and I wish I had the money to upgrade it) and this seems like a really cool mod
I had a 570 and it struggled pretty hard on a lot of titles. A 550 is probably not going to be a good time.
@@Thezuule1 I had meant with the mod, unless you have already tried that as well. I have played a few lower quality titles on the rx 550 and they worked, but most of the games were laggy.
@@Lil__Ro even with the FSR mod the 570 struggled on a lot of stuff. Made a few games a bit more playable but it wasn't enough unless I completely wrecked the visuals in exchange for FPS.
Hi, have you try using a laptop with Intel 11th Gen CPU with Intel Iris XE Integrated Graphics? They said that it is better that those other graphics card that was included on minimun requirement for quest 2?
I wonder if using graphics like mx350 (which still doesn't support vr) would allow us to run games like vr chat and Minecraft
I HAVE A QUESTION!!! if airlink doesn´t work on that pc, how did you connect the headset on steamVR
I have a gaming laptop, which does have the requirements for VR, and I don’t know if I should try it or not
hey! it takes several relaunches for some vr games to load, but also try this on windows 11 and see if that changes anything?
How did your laptop let you play even tho it said that it doesn't work also when I try to connect my quest 2 to the laptop I have tried both wired and wireless it doesn't work
In getting a 350 dollar laptop with a ryzen 5 cpu with integrated graphics with 16 gb of ram with ddr4? It should be good enough for me to run steam vr and gorila tag right ?
1:50 I have the exact same GXT sticker on the side of my pc lol
Hey i have a question mysticle when i load steamVR it’s puts me on the galaxy place but doesn’t load all the way (I’m using virtual desktop)
I just read that the new Samsung tablet 12.1 inch has more graphical power than ",most laptops"??
Can't see it... but is it possible a mobile device could work?
I myself have an I7 11th gen laptop with an 3060 and use it for VR. works completely fine.
If using virtual desktop. Do I still need to link my oculus to the questlink?
I have an hp laptop with Ryzen 3 3200 dual memory ram 8gb with Vaga graphics and it can run some games okay and play GTA V at 40+FPS. Even VR Chat (had to set it to the lowest setting) is playable.
I wish you would have tested watching movies in VR.
Will you try 5700G? Best integrated graphics ever.
this video just confirmed my thoughts that my gtx 1050 radioactive uranium and calcium runned laptop will run minecraft vr
It probably will 🤣
Lower spec hair would keep me subscribed
What I hope for is VR cloud gaming.
All of these are better than when I try to use my laptop
NIce. I would just play Beat Saber directly on the Quest at that point. I think the tradeoff in quality for super low spec pcvr isn't worth it vs what's available directly on the Quest.
of course this was just a proof of concept
"Remember when GPUs were $1000 and now we don't even need them anymore?" xD
