This is quite possibly the greatest advertisement for that one scene in Marriage Story where Adam Driver's character loses his cool and his acting is totally awesome.

4:28 I didn't finish the video because that scene was so good. I just kept rewatching it and I liked the part where Joel was angry, cause he looked really talented and good at acting.
The fact the he dribbles the basketball and then takes one step while holding it is so funny to me, because he’s following the rules of basketball for no reason, and that’s the kind of high brow comedy I expect from a classic Joel Haver short film
This is actually a healthy method of communication, and we can learn a lot from various performances in film media. For more strategies for positive emotional sharing, I recommend Robert De Niro in "Taxi Driver" and Bryan Cranston in "Breaking Bad."
In non-joke terms, sometimes people are so boiled up and unable to express themselves that a shouting fit is the absolute best outcome versus what may come after.
Can we just all take a moment and recognize the incredible performance by the office chair? Each time it was flipped, it was so powerful, the raw emotion and talent. Easily the chairs best performance, ever.
Joel. When you screamed....I felt that. It was perfect. I want to one day be able to insult like that when angry. Thank you for showing us your prowess in acting. Truly.
this has got to be my favourite skit, if not my favourite video, in Joel's channel. The acting is on point, the lines are creative and funny, Joel's anger is believable, super good acting on that, wow! i've been in my room this week just reeplaying this video over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over...
I absolutely love watching dax and joel interact. Joel you are a fantastic creator and its going to be crazy to see you make some billion dollar movie in a few years.
how did he manage 9.8k views in under 50 min? which India bot service does Joel Haver use? pretty obvious from all the "glowing praise" on this campy sh*t amateur live action fodder. *ANIMATIONS ONLY PLZ!*
I've been watching your videos for years now, and I don't know what it is but I think this might be the best acting I've seen in any of them. The absolute power you command with just your voice is astounding.
"...AND YOUR GRAND-CHILDREN ARE THEREFORE... DESTITUTE!!!" Was the best line ever, and I have too many good things to say about it, and none of them amount to my appreciation for that moment.
Wholesome version of the video where Joel is obsessed with the scene from Marriage Story where they write letters saying all the things they love about each other, so he keeps doing that for each of his friends :)
My introduction to Blake was him crying in that Beck music video. And I was JUST thinking about that video where Joel yelled at Dax while trying to take a picture of his pasta dinner as recently as yesterday. I'm really happy you guys are still yelling and crying. You're really good at it.
I was like: "Oh cool, a new Joel video, will be a nice break to relax a bit from studying". 3 minutes in and I'm going back to studying to relax a bit from the video...
One of my favorite things about Joel as a creator is how he gives us these little glimpses at his life behind the curtain. Glad you watched that one part from Marriage Story, buddy, can't wait to see your next short! 👍

His videos are like movies they contain so much and I can never expect what he is going to show me in this video was beautiful, especially with the end. Top-notch.
If Trent was in this video, the amount of tension and anger in it would have averaged out to zero.
I believe that was a strategic decision. He’s simply too calming
Have we seen a raging trent? I'm scared to see him mad
@@csvscsyeah, that one time he threw Joel off a cliff and basically into the sun! Classic Trent!
this is the "when Trent's on vacation" type of sketch

i don't know why but Blake dribbling the basketball as he walks up to Joel got me so good haha
I thought he was doing that so Joel asks him not to do that so Blake can get angry. Close enough
That was intense AF
What are you doing here ratman?
Hello Yervington, scurrying about as usual I see

Joel should scream at his weak wrists
I cackled
What an exceptional performance, I will make sure to loop this for the next week
make sure not to loop all the way to basketball part, two chair flips max.
Actually the chair flip is my favorite part
no matter how many times that chair gets flipped, it always picks itself back up. the chair deserves an award
I made Joel tea when we started filming to help his throat. It worked
Must have really worked for sure! Hope you had some too, cause you brought the rage in the end too.
A tail of two bunnies is my fav part of this whole bit.
For a moment I thought you meant that you made tea themed after (or made of) Joel.

Yelling is the most truest form of acting. Therefore Joel gets the Oscar.
2:47 is the mostly adorable chair flip i have ever seen in my life
edit: I'm glad they did it several more times.
I only wish to remix the audio of the chair to a squaker toy. The weak wrists making no sound when hitting the wall is perfection

Blake's little smirk on his knees, Joel's boogery mess, the god damn chair. So many great bits in this amazing video
