1000km challenge incoming 🤣
I predict 4 days 20 hours with coldgate
I hope it's coming soon, can't wait😂😂❤❤
Off me chair laughing 😂😂😂😂😂👍
@@Valsiphez scrolling in the Excell List down also takes another hour 🤣. Somewhere next to the Toyota bzxyz4you
Cant wait for the soundsystem test !
I used to work at construction sites where diesel skid steers and other equipment was used. All day long hearing the loud engine and breathing diesel exhaust fumes. This would be so much better.
Yeha, they all work for 8 hours. No more multiple shifts
Did you see that you can charge it back up? 😂😂 Imagine charging at 11KW that would in reality already be almost enough for 2 continuous shifts... Then imagine 22KW ❤❤
The question is does skid steer last a full day on the job side?
They have gotten quieter and cleaner. Not to mention that if the EV push wouldn't have taken all the resources and taken away all investment from other fuels, they would be far cleaner still by now by using natural gas, biomethane, bioethanol and e-fuels.
@@MrKOenigma What do you mean 'continuous shifts'? Having to stop for charging literally means they aren't continuous.
I’m getting Alien loader vibes from the sound it makes 😂
it is always satisfying to watch someone else working
I love work. Can watch it for hours!
Electric and hybrid construction vehicles are becoming more common now. It's really cool seeing smaller manufacturers offering sustainable products.
This is the car every man wants.
I dont even have snow
This reminds me of an ICE hauler called a Bobcat that’s popular in Canada 🇨🇦. But, this beast looks like it can fill large dump trucks too. 😎
beautiful white snow....reminds me of my youth trying to go up a mountain with my mates, without chains and getting stuck....made for the perfect freezer for beer and Fanta....Fanta was for me😭
Thank you very mutch for your very exiting sailingadventure. I'm a 73 year old pensioner from Sweden and I have followed you a coupple of years. So congratuletion to your great advanture.👍👏👏😁
Looks great.
Same people here in Germany are thinking, that a battery machines are not working here. Because it is to cold here😂
They don't. This is all paid advertisement, using the brand new machines for a few minutes for the cameras. With pre-installed chargers.
@@pistonburner6448
Stop it…
Battery works well in the cold. Diesel does not work when it’s cold. It gets to thick.
There is a reason you can not turn of an engine when it’s cold without connection to the electric grid…
Every winter I see countless diesel and gas car getting towed when it’s cold as they can not start. Never any bevs.
@@Errorcode403 Incorrect. You just made that up and you have no basis for any of that.
It's a fact that cold batteries do not perform properly and can easily be damaged by it, and use when too cold.
It's a fact that charging losses (already huge from the start) increase massively when cold is introduced into the equation.
It's a fact that batteries require massive amounts of energy (Tesla uses over half of what a car typically uses for driving) to heat up the battery.
You lied to the wrong person: I've researched the automotive industry for years and have happened to be based near the arctic circle for many years. I've tested EVs, PHEVs and many ICE cars.
In cold climates winter diesel is used and people have been using diesel (and gasoline) on work sites for decades and decades.
@@pistonburner6448live close the the artic circle to. And work on developing electric trucks.
And yes there is a lot of diesel equipment used here. But there is a reason a lot of parking lots have electrical outlets around here.
And no I do not lie.
But please provide your research.
The switch for the heater looks like the one from a stove. I love it😂
1000m2 of snow challenge incoming 😊
I want this! just for fun! 😃
I started driving a small tractor by myself when I was 5 years old in the early 1970s, my father was responsible for schoolbuildings and we lived at one of them, on a 10000sqm plot. So mowing the lawns in summer and clearing snow in winter were my favorite things in my childhood. First machine was a classic british "Gutbrod", few years later we got an "Iseki", which was 4wd, with hydraulics and everything and was more expensive than the most luxurius Golf GTI at this time. So, yes, great childhood, kind of crazy father, who probably would be put in jail today, for letting drive a 5 year old dangerous machines 😃
❤❤❤
With battery swap there is no advantage to a combustion version. It's good to see more electrified vehicles other than cars. Please keep up the varied content.
With 22KW charging, which is mostly available at construction sites it would already be sufficient
Only the up front price is the advantage. But of course, ROI is achieved quickly.
you mean disadvantage?
@@MrKOenigma No, 22kW charging is not mostly available at construction sites.
Wrong. The disadvantages of EV are countless. No point in going over them with people like you, you're religious.
This is the type of stuff I come to your channel for. Thank you for finding new things I didn't know existed and going into a little bit of the details about it.
I need one of those in my life!!!! Every time it snows here in Sweden, it ends up with my son and I moving a minimum of 3-4 tonnes of snow by hand. Electric snow blower useless in all honesty. So after a few years of this my neck and shoulders are CAPUT. 😩😂😂.
If you want an electric snowblower that can do the job you should get the Ego SNT2400E.
Get it with 4 batteries (it can be had with up to 12Ah options) and two of their 700W fastchargers so you always have two batteries on charge for infinite runtime.
I have the leaf blower from Einhell Professional 36 volts and as long as you have just to move powder snow it works perfectly fine. And you can also blow away melted water from snow to prevent ice forming overnight.
@ Big difference between a leaf blower and a snow blower
@ i get a lot of compact snow coming from my roof as a metal roof. So usually heavy wet snow. 😩🤯. A big diesel powered snow blower would work but noise and smell not the best.
Gasoline snow blowers or gasoline quads with a plow FTW. Millions of people have been clearing snow around the world for decades and there's a reason why they've *_all_* ended up using gasoline and diesel powered machines.
Really good content, Bjørn!
That's a very nice machine, 0 polution in the neighbourhood when working, thats pretty OK for all, neighbours and of course the worker. Very interesting the battery swap. You forgot to mention the price. I think is a great product, well done. 👌
Which machines cause pollution to neighbours?
I’m sure the neighborhood appreciates that there are no loud noises.
Thank you for sharing of the Elise 700
This is awesome stuff, very cool to see. Also, if it supports external controller (like xbox via bluetooth-phone), it would be quite fast and easy to operate from outside. This is also useful for times when you need better visibility as the operator
Love it, you could just sit in the house and clear your drive
Now for electrified trailers with EV motor axles and on-board battery enabling no-range penalty for towing also trailer battery can be used for charging equipment.
Remote control with a touch screen, hmm. Would probably work better with the type of controls used for RC planes and Drones.
❤ Even Tommy runs on Battery 😂
Maybe next time borrow it for banana box test loading the boxes...😁
It’s really nice! Just needs some winter tires 😅 ❄️
hi you can use the belt or spikes same as forklift etc.
I wish I could afford one. I live in Sweden.
Seems like great device. Did you know Bjørn original EVs from 1970, forklifts. Those you can ride in, run on lead acid batteries :D
Seems a good solution for you. Must be enough snow in Norway to make this kit a good investment for providing a clearing service.
The perfect vehicle to take Isabel to the kindergarten!
Interesting machine. And quiet.
It's only north America, Central America and a couple countries at the north of South America that is 110V.
It would probably be best for companies that don't run the thing all day, maybe 2-3 hours of loading and unloading materials, clearing some snow, moving stuff around and so on. No need to go buy diesel, change oils and stuff.
Companies using these things have diesel. They don't have expensive charging stations.
And they have NEXBTL biodiesel in some countries already. And natural gas, biomethane, bioethanol and soon e-fuels.
@@pistonburner6448 efuels, soon 🤣
I want one!
Skid steer is cool.
I'm more interested in an articulated fromt loader.
I wouldn't need the tight turning, but rather prefer not skidding.
Volvo L25 electric is nice, but very very expensive.
Noise blocking thing - ear defenders!
i hope they can attach a plow in the front too
Sheeeeet coldgatig
1000km challenge when?
Thanks for the video! What is the approx. price for this model?
Cool!
He might have meant snow blower in all honesty. Yes a leaf blower would not be much good for heavy snow, even powdery snow.
How many full banana boxes can it lift
How professional to sit on the buckled seatbelt. Snow ploughing is where you really want to use seatbelt, at least after you've once hit something with the bucket and your face hurts.
These will all be robotic soon, building new Tesla factories...crazy.
Need an xbox controller instead of touchscreen, much better.
Bokat❤
The pick up truck was no EV
needs CCS or AC @11kw at least.. oh nevermind 21:02 you explain it
You meant no need for Ear Defenders!
Or hearing protection or ear protection, many names same same
40% på en gårdsplass? Blir mye lading😀
It's 200 m². The big 40 kWh battery would consume 25 %. So that's good for 800 m². And remember that this is wet snow.
If they could just steer the snow and lift it up at the end instead of carrying it away that would make a huge difference, maybe less than half the battery use compared to this?
A phone is not a good tool to control it. A radio controller with proper joysticks would be great.
yes we have , its a danfoss remote 50 meter operating
22:16
Abit more than 2mil NOK and its yours 🤣🤣
Oh My Goodness! Approx €180k, $180k, £150k. Is that right? (TH-cam should provide a little add-on to do these conversions.)
Yeah the price is nuts 😂 many (heavy) winters to recoup your investments.
They say this can work for 5 hours in one charge, but in reality it could only do like 2 if its cold
This was worst case as explained in the video.
Jesus this thing is 145k.
Is Norway 230 volt or 110 volt
All of Europe is 230V
That charger is universal lead/lithium battery charger which is used for example to charge electric forklifts in warehouses.
we have also the 110 volt chargers.
44% of battery gone in 1 hour while clearing 200 m². Not ready for a normal day.
That is not the right tool for that job, but nice machine :)
What's the right tool then?
@bjornnyland A regular snow blower?🙃
A Volvo L120 and it's done in 2 minutes.@@bjornnyland
i think that economic incentive is better argument to invest in electric machinery compared to "saving the planet", because a lot of the electricity (globally) is made by using oil, coal and gas. norway is a unique country in its energy production.
There's also the noise pollution, and diesel fumes. Also no need to go buy cans of diesel to store in your garage, or handle engine oil which needs to be disposed of somewhere. I can think of many more things other than saving the planet.
The cost of battery degradation should be counted as fuel cost also because the machine will outlast several battery packs due to the chemistry.
Due to the chemistry? My robotic lawnmower has 5500 charge cycles. That would be the equivalent of 15 years of charging every day, 365 days a year.
@ Bjørn said lead-acid battery in the video but the website says lithium so if it’s lithium it will last longer but 220 workdays a year with two cycles then the battery will last 3-4 years. Still the machine lasts maybe 3-4 times longer so cost for battery is a running cost!
@@catmanscarchannel Bjørn said lithium battery in the video. He said that an earlier version had lead acid battery. Bjørn has tested several cars with well over 1000 charges, and the deterioration of the batteries is often less than 10%. So I think the battery will easily last 8 years.
@ They don’t do two charge cykles a day. This used half the battery in just over 1 hour, it’s conservative to think two cykles per workday = 440 cykles a year. In a car you can drive around 400km per cycle so 2 cykles a day is 800km or in a workyear with 220 working days that is eqvivalent of 176000 km a year, so mine 3-4 years is the same as driving a car around 600000 km. I think that is the right way to guess how often a battery change is needed.
If they changed to LFP battery maybe the battery will last as long as the machine.
@@catmanscarchannel is it snow all year long?
All fun and games till you need to do 10h shift in -20 C
Battery swap
And no break during 10h shift? Not fun for the worker at all!
