    My snails have smooth imperfection free shells after 6 months with a ph of 6.4, much lower than often mentioned. They are also active at 68F. Magestic animals, glad you covered them.

    I have my new mystery snail with my Betta fish in a beautiful 6.5 gallon tank but I plan on moving my mystery snail to my 10 gallon tank today so it has more room to go in! It's going to share it with 4 African dwarf frogs together! I can't wait to see how they do together!

    I must be doing something correctly because my purple mystery snail was in bad condition when I rescued it last month! And this month it's much bigger and in better shape! When I first rescued it. It had a cracked shell! The shell healed and is in perfect condition now,!

    I have a top-less tank. Probably not a good idea huh?

    • @jraquariumpr
      @jraquariumpr  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, You can still have snail in topless tank they only get out of the water for the following reasona: 1. To eat the minerals residuals from evaporated water at the top of the tank. 2. Lay eggs. 3. When you are feeding your fish to eat the food. 4. When your water parameters are poor thats when they escape mos of the time. Overall I will said is fine to have a snail in a too less tank. Please keep us updated and let us know what you did.

      @@jraquariumpr I went with two nerite snails for their algae cleaning. I have to admit, they are kinda boring and don’t do a lot. I think I’m going to get a mystery snail here soon, they are fun to watch.

      @@newtguy Nerites are nocturnal snail they will hide and stay still most of the day and they have an amazing sticking ability when they are sleeping. 100% agreed that if you looking for something more fun get mystery snails. Keep us updated on your snail hunting adventure 💙
