The suffering that it takes to get to the SU27SM is BS! I completed the US tree with ease! And the USSR tree is pain until you reach top top tier. USSR doesn't have any good strikers until the Mig27 and they're fighters against US planes are subpar until you hit the MLD. I made the horrible mistake of buying the Mig23ML on sale and I hate it. I can't lock anything before being yeeted out of existence by some BVR missile from a US fighter. If I do get a lock, it's flared away. I occasionally get a kill, but I mostly just use it to bomb bases. The USSR plane tree is the worst experience ever in War Thunder. YMMV.
