There were _WAY_ more signs of coaching dysfunction on the Bears when Fields was there. Do you guys remember that time Justin _Herbert_ called out his own coaches & said that they were messing with him? Spanos appeared in a puff of smoke, seething about how someone *_he_** was paying $ to* was stabbing him in the back, turning around & wasting the $ he was paying Herbert.
That's what _would_ have happened: if it *had been* Herbert who said this. When _Fields_ said it, you the casual analysts/fans for some reason utterly ignored this. As you ignored it when Eberflus himself boasted about meddling in the offense. As you ignored it when he showed he was working against Fields, humiliating him in front of the whole team multiple times, refusing to shake his hand or even speak to him on the sideline that time when Fields went over to shake it.
Also, after Fields called this out, the *Entire Play-sets Changed* & the Bears averaged 31 points a game. Then the team Voluntarily Decided To Return To calling plays they knew averaged under 20.
This Alone should have gotten 'Flus fired à la Matt Canada if not by his own team. Instead you all again decided to take a stance that ignored what 'Flus did. _This_ time y'all blamed Fields saying "he sucks & it has Nothing Whatever To Do with play-calling" while wondering why Getsy was so crappy & wasn't calling the same plays as he was during that streak.
I am 100% immune to this thing called charisma. I've had jobs where I had to fire the popular guy & did it because they were bringing down the whole staff. But Eberflus must have tons of charisma because he has done everything but hold a parade with floats announcing he's been sabotaging Fields deliberately. What I find hilarious about this is he's also sabotaging Williams.
Only it isn't deliberate. The problem that comes with guys like Eberflus who keep getting away with stuff like this is that they believe they can Do No Wrong. _He_ is defending the offensive p[lay-calls. _He_ is refusing to speak *to* the players consistently talking _AT_ them through the press & throwing them under the bus.
The fact that Poles never said or did anything when he heard about the coaches sabotaging the offense shows he was in on this sabotage of Fields. Now he might be stuck with 'Flus who *has this dirt on Poles* that he was in on the sabotage.
So far, it's a good case for Karma working. Sometimes.

Here's the thing: the Jags were down 6 for a long enough stretch to worry they might take the lead, & Sirianni once again left 6 points on the field. If I'm the players, I call a 'special' huddle or better yet agree in advance to lose the game in that circumstance Just To Get Rid Of Sirianni already!!
Here's the problem & we saw this last season & even this one: they don't want _him_ to win.
This is hard to overcome. Even if they get a ring they K N O W they will regret getting him one as well. So keeping Nick is harming the Eagles & they _WILL LOSE_ a playoff game & not care just because of this.
