It is not just that they are 6-6. You have to look at the entire circumstances. They won 4 games in the previous 3 seasons. They lost their starting quarterback in game one. They lost three top receivers and running backs early in the season. They were literally decimated, and after the three brutal loses to nationally ranked teams, they became competitive in every game. When you look at the entire situation, what he did was impressive, and if not for the loss to Army, he probably could have been in the running for Coach of the Year.
