    Really good insight, props to the club for allowing access like that during their worst AFL season to date..most clubs would have told the media to jump

      Yeah I'm pretty sure amazon would've made them sign a contract so that they couldn't tell them to stop shooting. Pretty embarrassing the year they scheduled for a big time doco is the same year they get the spoon.

    IMO this speaks volumes of Brad Crouch's attitude. All about him and what he gets. The way he sits there, disinterested and dismissive. If you watch the other players who lean in intently when talking about solutions, then look at Brad it just shows where he was at. Even the other players look at him like, "Are you for real?" And he wanted $800,000 plus a year??!!

      I noticed that too, his whole body language was just defensive from the start and like he didn't want to be there.
      I feel more comfortable he is gone having seen this footage.

      Straight after Nicks says it doesn't matter what you've done, all that matters is what is in front of you, Sloane says they've been the best 2 way runners before...!?
      There's time for leaders to listen and time for leaders to speak up.
      That was a shut up and listen moment. Let the coaches do the speaking.

    Interesting that the coach put some focus on Crouch, who looked uncomfortable .... The Saints smashed them on the Crows home turf and Crouch ends up at St.Kilda the next season. I hope this fires him up to be the best he's ever been.

    This is tame compared to my old coach. What's happened to the crow's? They had/have some pretty good talent just can't seam to get on the same page. I feel your pain crow's fans IV been following Carlton for near 40 years

      It seems that the way coaches interact with players has changed over the years. They don't give as big a spray as they used to. However, there is footage of Nicks loosing his mid at them at one point.

    • @rustedpig97
      @rustedpig97 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Remember this is in front of the cameras and this is only one bit of footage. I’m sure there has been many moments he’s blown up at the players and there will probably be footage of him giving them a spray. Nicks seems very old fashioned, calm on the outside and gives a spray when it’s needed.

  • @MrMooremelody
    @MrMooremelody ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I like the idea behind it but the footage makes no sense. In the first clip, Crouch wasn't even in the footage and it was just a poor turnover. In the 2nd clip, what's he expect Crouch to do, play back shoulder the whole game? If he wins the ball, the coaches would applaud him.

    AFL has changed for the worse in a lot of ways, as this video highlights. The past 20 years, the AFL has introduced corporate managerialism. Coaches - there are more coaches than ever before - are now like factory foremen. Players are like the factory workers, who take marching orders from their bosses. Coaches run their players in a top-down controlling manner and kill their creativity. We don't see the artistic stuff like torpedoes or long runs through packs really any more. Players like Jaidyn Stephenson have said publicly you can't do that sort of stuff or you get in trouble with the coach.
