Saw him and got albums signed from him when he was just starting out at the White Plains concert series hosted by Doug Panaro. Great stuff. I always thought Charley had the makings of a superstar.
Seen him twice in the last year in a half here as a Houstonian, once in Houston and traveled to San Marcos a few months prior to that. Autographed Poster for his Man from Waco Tour. So glad I found him when I did! Country is coming back!!

Yay Charley! I don't think of him as country, I think of him as a cowboy, singing cowboy music. Kinda like Michael Martin Murphy singing cowboy songs...so I was very happy when he came along some time back and really happy he's seen more besides just on the road. He's self made, so gotta respect that. And...he has the best Instagram account 😅. ❤ It's just like low key family traveling.

His band is great! The guy on the keys is almost a one-man-band himself. He plays keys, trumpet, and does backup vocals at their concerts--in many instances trumpet with one hand and keys with another simultaneously!
I highly recommend _Time of the Cottonwood Trees_ and _Odessa_ off his last album. A lot of his music is, well, *very* country, but those ones are "country light" and really showcase his voice and songwriting.
Crockett and his band are beyond talented! While amazing, this song doesn’t do them justice. He opened for Ryan Bingham and they stole the show. 1,000 x’s better.
This dude is great, man. Best thing is, he's just of a crop of young bucks coming up with that throwback sound, guys like Colter Wall, Tyler Childers, even most of Sturgill Simpsons stuff sounds just like it was pulled from earlier eras.

It’s a damn shame that most genres of music like country are solely based on revenue & platforming one’s fame. It’s a breath of fresh air to see artists like Charley Crockett, or individuals as Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson & even some of Nick Phoenix’s catalog just being themselves and constructing music that we want to hear but delivering it in ways we’d never expect it.
