YSL just does not want my $ 😂. 3 shades i like are not available and then when you ask them it’s like ‘sorry not sure if these will release in the US’. Typically it’s based on what sells best in each market which i get for like Sandstone & the lavender being Asia exclusive but not the rest?!!

7:44 specific memory unlocked!! As a teen in the 90s I was obsessed with makeup but didn’t know what I was doing, so I bought BOOKS. I am absolutely positive Bobbi Brown’s makeup book actually *did* tell you to use a tiny brush to cover blemishes, but I was totally mystified because I had never seen anyone do that and it felt completely pointless with the drugstore makeup I had access to.

Hey Kackie! I’d love to hear your thoughts on “Glowtions” as either a base or foundation for mature skin. Being an 80s girl, I always thought that shiny skin meant it was oily and needed powder. But now that my skin is feeling drier, I’m realizing I really need some moisture and a little glow to avoid looking washed out-without going overboard, of course! I just adore your channel, your aesthetic, and your honesty! Cheers! 🥂💋

I love a serum that adds hydration and a hydrated appearance! I am not a fan of things that add a noticeable shimmer. I find for example that the Auric glow lust is just always too much. You can't put little enough on. The charlotte tilbury flawless filter...i do not understand the appeal. Aside from just picking a really hydrating foundation or skin tint, I think a serum and a good dewy setting mist are the easiest. So many primers are SO thick they just make your face look surreal.

En Vogue was on the Home Show in the late 1980s early 1990s The program was co-hosted by Robb Weller with Sandy Hill and Nancy Dussault rotating as co-hosts during the first season. Gary Collins hosted the show for the remainder of its run. Co-hosts included Cristina Ferrare, Dana Fleming, Beth Ruyak and Sarah Purcell. They (The En Vogue group) did pin point concealer to show how they had flawless makeup. This is not new and yes there are examples they just are hard to search because of how old they are. When I watched this with my mom, she said she did this and it wasn't a new idea. My mom is a painter and did use her tiny brushes to do this with her foundation. Its not new. I'm 52 for context. - Edit, I remember it so well, because it was concealer, a bit of powder, then conceal again to get it to stick. Layers. yup. and those were four black women.

I have a video idea! I just ordered foundation from Dcypher which is custom foundation. It’s amazing. I have the weirdest skin tone (olive) and I’ve never had a decent color match. I got my match and it looks like no color I’ve ever seen in complexion products but matches me absolutely perfectly. Your order comes with a card with your actual skin tone and where it falls on the scale and I just think you would love the scienceyness of it all.

When every other cosmetic brand is removing talc from their products, why would YSL introduce a new blush with talc? With that said I believe the nude shades are matte. Some people feel like they can’t pull off cooler shades, even as contour. And some neutral undertones can turn orange on cooler skintones. I’m a neutral cool and most bronzers that claim to be universal turn orange on me. But, yeah, if you want something that works as a contour, the shade has to be cool(er) in relation to your individual skintone.
