  • This Char Kway Teow is so good that the queue is always long. Very good hawker food in Singapore.
According to Mr Ng, the stall owner, his father started selling Char Kway Teow in Tanjong Pagar in 1953.
They moved to Outram Park in 1973 before moving to the current location at Hong Lim Market & Food Centre in 2000.
A few years back, Mr Ng spoke about his children not wanting to take over his business.
As he is getting old and when he retires... does it mean that we will lose this legendary Char Kway Teow?
Watch this video and someone might surprise you.
    Address:
Outram Park Fried Kway Teow Mee
Hong Lim Market & Food Centre
    531A Upper Cross Street #02-17

Haven’t try their CKT yet, but to know his son is taking over, it must be such a great relieve for Mr ng CC. Also wish the younger Ng JM persevere n continue his dad legacy as the King of all CKT

My cousin, Jun Ming is good and always improving in his skill of cooking the char kway teow. From his Grandfather to his father and now him. Each of them cook is almost the similar but of cos got some different too. Just alike as what his father said the hand writing from everyone is different so cooking also will be the same. But if want to support their 3rd generation JunMing try to go in the morning whereby he will cook and there also beehoon in the morning. Trust me you won't regret trying his cooking. Not becos I am his cousin, I said that because a lot of feedback from my friends and colleagues telling me his cooking really not bad.

Just a piece of advise, dont have to feature the stall that have been featured so many times. If there is something new, it would be more helpful. This particular stall has been on so many reviews, so much so that even foreign Vlogger have done so.

@@wwllmcheng btw I don't work there but he is my cousin. Thank you for your kind support to them and if notice the cockles and eggs input in every plate is quite a lot. They are very generous to ensure their customers get enough portion in every plate of CKT they cook. 🙏🙏🙏

If the name isn't obvious enough it actually originates from China, Penang and Singapore have very common food culture as both are sea ports that have immigrants coming from many countries.
