That's nice to hear, so many unpleasant things are said about the city it's nice to hear you enjoyed your time in Gloucester. Yes, these streets are pedestrianised now.

This is great. Ive lived in Gloucester all my life (47yrs and counting) Its amazing to see this before it all changed. Its not very long ago but the cars look like they are from the 80s in comparison to today.

Paul. I did feel a bit of a fool at the time standing in the street videoing the traffic. Glad l did. Thanks for your comment.

@@grahamedgeworth7284 Nowadays, you would feel foolish if you stood there without a camera.

Great footage, Thank you. I lived in Gloucester until i was 12 and when i first returned it had already been pedestrianised and i rather missed the way the city centre used to be..... But looking at this now it reminds us how loud and dirty and smelly it must have been back then. I think it has actually changed for the better.

When people actually visited the city centre and there were lots of shops.

I agree elly but it is nicer shop without bothersome traffic. Hope it reflects on what is now in the past. Thanks for your constructive comment.

My parents used to say it was done in the 80s before I was born so thank you for putting this up as I vaguely remember there being traffic lights on the cross (I would have been nearly 5 when they did it)

It's not pedestrianised . with cars, vans, bicycles, and electric scooters using the centre as they see fit, there's absolutely zero police presence in gloucester so no ones sanctioned.
