You have been seeing these ethnic people every day in Guangdong but you couldn’t tell because they weren’t wearing their ethnic clothes but their everyday clothes. Even the ethnic Han majority people are composed of separate subgroups that speak mutually unintelligible dialects or languages from each other, they all have their own foods, customs, clothing and villages everywhere. They go to the cities for work and go back to their villages during holidays like now. It’s not about authentic or unauthentic it’s about different customs that the viewer either knows or doesn’t know about. They think that living in cities are unauthentic to Chinese people but these cities have been in our history for thousands of years as well, just the size of the cities and the buildings have grown, the people and their basic beliefs and culture are basically unchanged. They still practice their customs in the cities as well. It’s just that outsiders don’t see into locals’ lives. There are urban villages inside the cities as well.

Hmm not really. They are all very much connected to the whole of China, they all have smartphones, 5g, schooling, services. And 700m isnt high, Kunming sits at 2500m. Its nice the video but the idea of some lost unknown village, no dear, they are all known many of their peoples most likely migrate to cities to work and return with money. Its really the older generations who are resident full time. There are many of these and even in the cities you can see the same culture. Yunnan has more ethnic minorities than anywhere else in the world, Kunming particularly and you will find they all have their traditions and festivals and they all coexist quite normally together, its not unusual at all in China. Many of the young people you see dancing there, will study in the City universities and come there to dance, its not some isolated culture at all, its filled with tourists, the people all know plenty about the outside world and are as connected as anyone else in China, they simply, the older ones, choose to remain and 1000 year old, theres plenty of them in China.
I like the video but it could have done without the whole ancient lost tribe vibe because thats kind of silly to anyone who knows and lives in China. In fact X,Y,Z Ancient Town, you will find literally thousands upon thousands of them in China....its nice to explore, but if you actually want to see REAL rural life, go to Yangzhou near Guilin and just go for a walk out into the countryside in among the karst mountains, there you will see plenty of very isolated houses, small settlements, you will see farming with water buffalo, and you wont see a single tourist....

    • @MultiMyNickName

@@songiko4634 Why would I? I'm sorry but videos aren't life dear. I have no interest in being a youtuber, or any form of social media influencer, I find the whole thing rather tragic. Get out and see it for yourself and stop believing everything that a video or a TV tells you.......the problem with Western people is you live your whole lives inside a media fantasy on screens and in newspapers. reality passes you by. Look around you, your whole reality has been stolen from you and your futures enslaved to corrupt and greedy minorities and you are too blind to look up from the fantasy they feed you to see it. Wake up dear. These videos wont help you.

not being rude.. Tris.. there must be thousands of villages throughout China.. even the Chinese have never heard of.. even some of the Mega metropolis all asian pacific people know.. but the collective west have never heard of.. I've come a cross an American who thought Singapore is a city in China.. the level of stupid in the west is beyond believe.. my point is.. why are you making a beef on this one little Chinese village.. what's the message..
