_Will Cam get the rulebook for Christmas? Will Dylan set his life total correctly? Will Tyler’s Regular-Size-Bones evolve into Hugebones? Don’t miss the next episode of PtW._
Pro tip for Tayler: loyal apprentice trigger ability is an intervening if clause. It means that the ability: 1) trigger only if the player control the commander at the beginning of combat 2) checks again for commander on resolution. This means that he could have used deadly rolich with the ability on the stack to kill Tymna and avoid the creation of the token.
This is not the best showing of your decks, but my god. This is surely the most funny video you guys have put out. I really appreciate seeing the mistakes and just your general sense of comedy. I understand that it may be embarrassing for you guys to post something like this but I have learned a lot about playing more efficient magic from watching all your videos. Please never change, Camjam my man you're a star.
You are so right, that is my fault 🤦♀️ This was filmed in October but at the time I guess I had glanced the card's text and thought I knew what it did!
I appreciate yall putting out content that more reflects real games. Showing misplays that in the moment no one catches then just laughing and making fun of each other for it. Love the content!
The editing is so good! Watching the stack resolve is satisfying, and watching the Trinisphere fade in over Dark Confidant happened to turn out spectacularly well.
This is probably the most real channel I've found so far. Great game. Also at one point I had asked about veyran. Glad to see it! I feel like veyran could be very fun
What a great game, even with all the "issues". I think it just goes to show how relaxed as a group you are and you're ok with us seeing you make mistakes, showing how human we all are. A great video to start the week with!
Despite all the mishaps in this game. The lightheartedness and casual nature of the video made this a fun game to watch. cEDH doesn't always means perfect gameplay; it's just a higher power level of fun at the end of the day. Still, we got to learn some new unique rules that almost never pop up and it was fun to see everyone's deck, especially Veyran's, go off at some point which makes for a better viewing experience.
Depending on when she drew certain cards, there was most likely a line where she would have gotten through with the damage anyway, but yeah, I also came to the comments to say this.
I love how honest your Channel is, when you all make mistakes you don’t make excuses. You point it out, laugh about it, and move on. This attitude is how I feel these moments should be treated in our game. Thanks Bois
Interesting game, load of misplays, but other than the -8 life I think it all works out in the end. Renegade Tactics says “target creature CANNOT block” but between that and the twiddle you could just switch the targets around and still get through so no real. Issues there. Love the decks! Keep up the good work!!
Everything from the renegade tactics incorrect usage, to the incorrect mana tapping, this game was an absolute rules nightmare and it 100% reminded me of playing magic with friends in the bedroom years ago, thank you.
Don’t worry about the mistakes, this video was still super fun. I straight up punted lethal in the finals of a tournament on Friday because I didn’t read a card and this makes me feel better about doing it!
Absolutely love how you guys continually post gameplay regardless of the mistakes made. It has helped me grow as a Magic player and learn how to talk through rule interactions with my own playground without getting salty lol keep up the solid work! Love your videos!
Here I am again, on my Sunday, tuning into the latest Play to Win video. I cannot get enough! It's like you folks are my Sunday Disney+ episode release ("This is the way.") You should do a best enchantress deck in cEDH video. I'd watch that for sure!
thanks for the great content. seeing that hard storm turn was sick. watching the lines around combat were cool. love seeing library profit that much. most of all, love watching your vibe and getting to see this side of cedh.
Even with the mistakes you guys can't help but make great content. These mistakes are great to point out as learning opportunities not just for you guys but also for the viewers. Thank you as well for leaving the priority portion in! Definitely one of the more nuanced bits of the magic rules.
This was super fun to watch! It's my 1st time watching your channel and the fun editing, the clear explanations when cool triggers occur PLUS when things go off the rails, and the overall energy you brought to the game - I subbed and am looking forward to checking out your other videos!
love this ep, especially the more "casual" vibes, in the most literal way :) also fun to see Veyran pop off! she was the head of one of my first casual decks, and those turns can get quite long and wheel-spinny haha
Hey guys. Just wanna say that I've been watching yout channel for awhile. Really love the content, Thoracle happens sometimes but it isn't NEARLY as ubiquitous as it was before (seriously. Thank you.) Got me into cedh (kinda), I have a smattering of cedh cards and I use the Snow Duals from Kaldheim as proxies for old duals. Not sure what I want to build but I really like Thrasios + Bruse. AND JESKA ISHAI holy fuck that deck always looks so fun. Cam: Hey, uh, take 21? Dylan: Yup, I'm dead. Nothin I can do about that. Take care guys!
All of these errors, I feel 'em in my bones. Love it. Huge fan of how no one at all thought Dylan somehow hitting himself for 8 on turn 1 was weird at all.
After a similar incident, I now always say "can I go into combat?!" rather than immediately declaring attackers like most people do. It's just clearer and saves us all from phase change arguments.
Renegade tactics doesn't make it unblockable, makes a creature unable to block. I enjoyed this immensely and makes our first showing coming out soon not feel so bad
You guys make so many mistakes, but it's so awesome because it is so real. A game with no mistakes is rarely ever seen. The arguments on rulings and priority are great to hear too for us nerds trying to become the ultimate mtg knowledge librarian.
It's awesome to see that even veterans make mistakes, I'm still new to the game and I make mistakes left and right, I feel much better knowing even experts forget little things here and there
I normaly hate cEDH because of reasons that takes long to explain, but i liked and subbed, because the edit is fluent and fun, and your turns are awesome. Hope the older content is like that. Many cheers and keep it up.
Loved the video… it was great to see all of the mistakes and what not but I know in my group, if I said I was going to combat and someone did something like that to me, I would still be going to combat lol but that is a solid point to think about in the future
This video showing the many mistakes and wrong numbers is great! Would I want all the vidoes to be this way, no. But honestly i was just thinking about how curated or not some of the game play vidoes may be. As a viewer, I don't know how many you record, and of those how or which you choose to upload, or what that decision process is like. To see this one goes along way towards showing transparency and I love to see your reactions to it afterthefact, you guys are genuine and it feels good. Love the content, big fan!
I liked the editing of the stack. Really makes learning the game better. Because apparently you can be playing magic for 8 years and still look like a noob :) But the best way to learn is from mistakes.
Since there weren't enough mistakes on the table, renegade tactics doesn't make veyran unblockable, it just makes it so target creature can't block. Considering the 1/1 Ravenform bite came in afterwards, it could have Chumped veyran. I'm sure she would have taken a different line to still get there (i.e. not cast Ravenform) but still, may as well just add insult to injury on this one, hahaha.
Literally had to pause the video for several minutes due to laughing so much over the 29 life gate. Lol literally still laughing now, how the fuck can that happen lol!
The main phase/move to combat thing has actually one up a lot for me personally recently weirdly enough once i move back to standard after a few years where i play aggro. It is an interesting thing the way that it works and I’m glad it came up for you guys so that many more people can experience the ruling in action and cause less confusion in the community. Love the content boys always a fun way to spend a portion of my Sunday.
At turn 1 Cameron pitched Carpet in Chrome Mox. I was wondering if it would've been a better play to simply play it since there was already at least 1 Island on the battlefield.
I appreciate Ashley's comment about this being a new experience. I only have 1 cEDH deck but I'm currently learning gitrog, who is MUCH more confusing than my current deck. Also appreciate you guys leaving in the rules problem. Nice to see you guys can get tripped up too, lol.
**SPOILERS** I'm sure there's a million more ways that they could've won, but Renegade Tactics says "target creature can't block", not "target creature can't be blocked" so the 1/1 bird token they made for Cameron after could have absolutely chump blocked the commander. Just pointing it out because it's the one thing they missed in the post game narration
I have been watching for a long while so trust me I love y’all but my goodness was this episode a bad apple. But it was hilarious tho so I guess I’m not complaining 😂
I've chopped my life total for no reason numerous times, particularly when playing online. I remember a recent game when I was at 32 on turn 3 and everyone was asking me to go through my fetches, lands, crypt, etc. math to figure out how I got there. It was impossible. I was just playing "hard mode," I guess.
_Will Cam get the rulebook for Christmas? Will Dylan set his life total correctly? Will Tyler’s Regular-Size-Bones evolve into Hugebones? Don’t miss the next episode of PtW._
I live for regular bones
Pro tip for Tayler: loyal apprentice trigger ability is an intervening if clause. It means that the ability:
1) trigger only if the player control the commander at the beginning of combat

"We're posting this one?!"
Honestly, all the more respect for posting this for us all. This video is an absolute blessing of the highest regard lol
Just to add to the mistakes, Renegade Tactics makes the creature unable to block, not unblockable, so the token can still block the commander.
that mistake is still killing me inside lol
Yeah, and the worst part is casting ravenform actually stopped her from being able to kill lol, she was fine until that point
Fun game either way
@@allterraincapybara6749 She could have just raven form 1 of her treasures so she would have won either way
You are so right, that is my fault 🤦♀️
This was filmed in October but at the time I guess I had glanced the card's text and thought I knew what it did!
@@allterraincapybara6749 she could have casted on her stuff and everything would have been fine
I appreciate yall putting out content that more reflects real games. Showing misplays that in the moment no one catches then just laughing and making fun of each other for it.
Love the content!
This is by far the most accurate display of 'normal' play in play groups! ROFL! You folks are usually on top of your game but this is just hilarious!

Love that the gameplay is shown so fluid with no chaff comments and straight to the point. The priority explanation was on point, thank you.
Her commander wasn’t unblockable. You could chump with the bird from ravenform. Renegade tactic makes it unable to block, not unblockable.
came to the comments to say exactly this lol
Depending on when she drew certain cards, there was most likely a line where she would have gotten through with the damage anyway, but yeah, I also came to the comments to say this.
Ashley rebound the Distortion Strike on the last turn instead 😜
Sometimes people are fixated of Veyran's spellharmonicon ability that they forget that she's capable beatstick on her own.
I love how honest your Channel is, when you all make mistakes you don’t make excuses. You point it out, laugh about it, and move on. This attitude is how I feel these moments should be treated in our game. Thanks Bois
What a fucking beautiful disaster of a game XD
truly haha
"I'm gonna pay 4 and cast regular-sizedbones." 😂😂😂
I NEED THAT FOR MY TINYBONES DECK!
Interesting game, load of misplays, but other than the -8 life I think it all works out in the end. This video was absolutely hilarious. Glad you guys still posted it, these types of games happen to the best of us
God I love that you uploaded this with in it's raw glory commentary as always 10/10 great vid
thanks for the great content. seeing that hard storm turn was sick. watching the lines around combat were cool. love seeing library profit that much. most of all, love watching your vibe and getting to see this side of cedh.

Fun game! Sure its scuffed but everyone has off games.
07:10 Tyler "I disagree with your threat assessment."
We all felt that.
love this ep, especially the more "casual" vibes, in the most literal way :)
also fun to see Veyran pop off! she was the head of one of my first casual decks, and those turns can get quite long and wheel-spinny haha
The "yeahhhhh" @7:35 is killing me XD Best commentary of all time
I love that the cedh newcomer played the best and got the win for it. Magic is hard. Thanks for the uploads!
triple mango threat sounds like a really good drink
Ok need a rematch of these decks lol..someone didn't have there coffee this morning..thank u ash for playing, hope u come back

Dylan: Yup, I'm dead. Nothin I can do about that.

Love that they posted this game. Magic is a complex game and mistakes happen
All of these errors, I feel 'em in my bones. Love it. Huge fan of how no one at all thought Dylan somehow hitting himself for 8 on turn 1 was weird at all.
This is definitely one of my favorite videos of yours.. fuck ups happen. .and we laugh and look back.. and its great
After a similar incident, I now always say "can I go into combat?!" rather than immediately declaring attackers like most people do. It's just clearer and saves us all from phase change arguments.
Dylan: Hope the life doesn't come up later.
*Narrator:* It indeed came up later.
I love the games that go off the rails 😅 that was a blast!
The "mistakes" made this video better IMO.
And you realizing those "mistakes" is proof it is easier to find them when you are not playing.
Sick game fellas despite all the little misplays. Loved it.
the loyal apprentice sequence was super helpful. especially since i play Winota and friends lol.
Cam’s and Dylan’s decks are literally my favorite cEDH deck styles. So cool man.
Love the Regularsized Bones. That was a fun game to watch.
Its great part of the video sometimes when you get to ask question during a series of interaction.. it helps the viewers also regarding it..
Renegade tactics doesn't make it unblockable, makes a creature unable to block.
I enjoyed this immensely and makes our first showing coming out soon not feel so bad
What a delightful surprise blooper episode XD
You guys make so many mistakes, but it's so awesome because it is so real. A game with no mistakes is rarely ever seen. The arguments on rulings and priority are great to hear too for us nerds trying to become the ultimate mtg knowledge librarian.
Hell yeah! What a game. Congratulations to Ashley for the win!
thanks for leaving that rollick discussion in, no idea
Man this game was sloppy as hell, and yet, fun as hell. So glad y’all still posted this. Magic is hard 🤷🏻♂️
It's awesome to see that even veterans make mistakes, I'm still new to the game and I make mistakes left and right, I feel much better knowing even experts forget little things here and there
storm-kiln artist and archmage emeritus are absolute powerhouses in veyran decks. So satisfying to see it in action.
I normaly hate cEDH because of reasons that takes long to explain,

This video showing the many mistakes and wrong numbers is great! Would I want all the vidoes to be this way, no. Love the content, big fan!
I would definitely watch more videos like this, things happen.
4:18 An easy way to remember/picture it is that you can't change (most) phases without every Player passing priority
I love you guys even more with this cuz it shows yall have a good fun time
That main phases discussion actually happened to me and my pod last week. We did not do it right though lol
Magic is a hard game 😂 love you guyz, always put a smile on my face
This might be my favorite one, or should I say this is the closest to me and my friends playing 🤣
I liked the editing of the stack. Really makes learning the game better. Because apparently you can be playing magic for 8 years and still look like a noob :)
But the best way to learn is from mistakes.
You know... still loved the gameplay haha. Mistakes an oops moments make for funny games.

Love seeing ikra bruse. It’s my fav edh deck.
Man i wish we saw more of the veyran deck
Literally had to pause the video for several minutes due to laughing so much over the 29 life gate. Lol literally still laughing now, how the fuck can that happen lol!
Hilarious video. The commentary is peak.
> cast Ad Naus
> opponent counters
> opponent draws 10 cards off their counter
I haven't seen any use from Ensnaring bridge since the 7th edition reprint. It was real big in creatureless land destruction decks for standard.
Ikra, tymna, and tana oh joy : D
Hurra Tinybones is back :D
The red blue player I use those same cards but niv misset parun as my commander. Should I run parun in the 99?
At turn 1 Cameron pitched Carpet in Chrome Mox. I was wondering if it would've been a better play to simply play it since there was already at least 1 Island on the battlefield.
I appreciate Ashley's comment about this being a new experience. I only have 1 cEDH deck but I'm currently learning gitrog, who is MUCH more confusing than my current deck.

Love the mess ups. Happens for sure!
Awesome game! Well done! lol
I have been watching for a long while so trust me I love y’all but my goodness was this episode a bad apple. But it was hilarious tho so I guess I’m not complaining 😂
Hopefully Cam gets the rulebook before Christmas 😄
The main phase thing happened to me when playing Pioneer against Greasefang. It makes absolutely no sense to me but oh well
Unfortunate that tinybones didn't get to go off, but love seeing it at the table!
Missed opportunity to call this one ‘we learn how steps and phases work.’
Thought renegade tactics said that the creature couldn’t block not is unblockable. so could he just block with the raven and have another turn.
Veyran is a sneaky deck to it can easily pull off a win outta seemingly no where
I've chopped my life total for no reason numerous times, particularly when playing online. I remember a recent game when I was at 32 on turn 3 and everyone was asking me to go through my fetches, lands, crypt, etc. math to figure out how I got there. It was impossible. I was just playing "hard mode," I guess.
Besides that ,love this games, having good time with friends, hope to see more ..who's going to win
Guess this would be highlighted but Renegade Tactics does not make creature unblockable but target creature can’t block.
Never stop posting sloppy gameplays. They are the best!
Renegade tactics means it can’t block, not that it’s unblockable. Cam could have block with the bird from ravenform
The moving phase thing was important you leave in, even my friend who watched all the iceberg and layer vids got this wrong
Appreciate the humility!
LOL props for posting this. You guys fucked up almost as much as I do playing EDH. Great game regardless
Anyone else listen to the bgm and think "oh I'm watching a False Swipe Gaming vid... Wait what?"
On topic, awesome game.
