The edge enhancement and DNR was just so much that made around their head look blurry. The detail has improved but disappointed in this release unfortunately
No matter what, True Lies is the greatest action comedy of the 1990s and I cant wait to buy this Blu-ray 4K

Watched Aliens 4K last night, wow that has an amazing picture. Cleaned up yet still with incredible detail, no waxy look and just enough light grain to still look filmic. A perfect balance imho. True Lies is going to be the odd man out unfortunately and the weakest of the three releases (or four if you count Titanic, another amazing transfer).
Good to hear that Aliens came out okay. I watched The Abyss last night. Needless to say, I’m very excited to review that one.
Using AI for a remastered T2 would be incredibly ironic
I honestly would not be surprised if we saw a redo of that one done with the same technology that was used for this, The Abyss and Aliens.

I wish I knew. From what I’ve read distribution of the new James Cameron releases have been all messed up. Some people are not receiving their copy until April. Hopefully a restock will happen sooner.

Thanks for checkin it out. I am extremely sensitive to DNR and artificial manipulations so this one is risky. Might pick it up on sale later in the year
Yeah this one is definitely artificially manipulated so proceed with caution. It was very much a mixed bag for me.
It litterly hurt my eyes watching this on my oled , too much DNR , thank God aliens look a lot better.
Worst of the 3 that’s for sure and the atmos track is just ok
It's horrible. It's much worse than T2. How people can say it's better is beyond me. I cannot believe they did this.
Most of Cameron's films are superficial and cheesy enough that artificially tampering with them will probably be a moot point for most people interested in them. TRUE LIES is Cameron's worst movie, just beating out his insufferable AVATAR projects.
True Lies is miles above Avatar movies.
