  • If you’ve been following our Italy travels, Manny and I moved our home base to Bolzano (separate video and link below), and today was our first day exploring the western side of the Dolomites.
Today we visited: Alpe di Siusi and the alpine settlement of Compaccio , drove through Castelrotto, walked around the stunning town of Ortisei, and visited the Dolomites most photographed Image - The Church of St John.

It’s worth the price to park. It is the highest meadow in Europe. It’s completely different from other parts of the Dolomites.

@sandy1234able well it's high altitude, and it depends on where you were. When we left Bolzano that morning it was probably 25 degrees warmer. That's why Manny didn't have a jacket

Your video doesn’t even show the Alpe di Siusi. You say you weren’t impressed, but you didn’t even take the chairlift up to it. Go back and see it for real next time.

@lesliethompson1473 if you saw my video, you saw that we couldn't even see the chairlifts. The weather wasn't good. So yes, I would definitely go back. Thanks
