@Tommy Taffy apples and oranges. one is a manga whose only limitation is the creator's imagination that was worked on for 30 years; whereas The Sopranos had reality, a budget and a rotating team of writers/directors to contendi with.
@Tommy Taffy Berserk built on elements of fantasy that always existed, it just did it in a new and interesting way. i mean hell, in the first arc Berserk was essentially just a near-plotless and extremely edgy collection of badass battle scenes. your opinion on the ending of The Sopranos really shows your lack of understanding and ridiculous bias toward Berserk. the ending wasn't left as a cliffhanger because they "had nothing left to say", the entire story is from Tony's perspective and that cut to black symbolizes his death. you also completely disregard the fact that The Sopranos completely changed television as we know it, and if not for it we wouldn't have iconic series like Breaking Bad. again, timescale is also very important here, Berserk had a lot more time and room to develop it's characters. hell, Miura really didn't know what he wanted the series to be until the end of the first story arc, and a lot of the best content from the series came after Miura had already worked on it for longer then The Sopranos was in production.
@Tommy Taffy your pseudo-intellectual tone and illogical bias is truly ridiculous. it's unfair to compare the two because they're entirely different works with different purposes that come from different cultural backgrounds, not bc The Sopranos is somehow objectively inferior (which is literally impossible as that's an entirely objective viewpoint). sorry man, but Berserk isn't anywhere near as wide-reaching as you think, it's influence can firmly be felt in manga, anime and video games but scarcely anywhere else. i mean, a majority of it's positives you bring up are things that countless other stories before and after have done, sometimes to much greater success. this is coming from someone who hangs on to every beautiful illustration and piece of dialog. Berserk is popular among nerds, not normies, and on that front The Sopranos will always have way more impact bc it spoke to more then just a particular audience.
