Yes, I was a bit shellshocked on Thursday as you said for anyone that is 70 and under we have know her all our life. It like when you loss your Mum, my one was also 96 when she passed but your never ready for it. This is why I am only wat this on Monday, as I was watching HM The Queen bing moved from Balmoral to Holyrood, I think Scotland is doing her proud.

US truck driver here. I drive 18 wheelers (Semi Trailer). I've found over the years that some people just hate us for some reason and do all they can to make our job difficult. I've learned to laugh at them. First of all, it takes away your stress and second of all, it absolutely infuriates them! I love the content and wish that the UK style of fencing was widely available here. Carry on lads!
The neighbor is being a pill because she can! Positive output is key. The stress and more stress struggle is real and keeps me awake at night. I own a transportation company. 3 out of 5 of my rigs are down. Cant get parts, mechanic is full up, costs are insane! Everyday for the last month has been a royal nightmare. I share the aggravation, on the brighter side a great crew that you can count on does make a huge difference. Best of luck getting it all ship shape!

You are absolutely right my friend, also like the proverbial bully they choose their victims carefully, if they suspect they may get a smack in the mouth they tend to keep quiet, if they think they can get a guy sacked then they are the big man....or woman. I do not condone violence but I once witnessed a guy absolutely berating the window cleaner to his office, the window cleaner knocked him clean out, I was made up
I have a neighbour who put wheelie bins in 'her' parking space outside her house so she has a space when she returns. One day a luton with a tail lift had a delivery for another house and as it's a very busy residential road with little spare parking, they moved the cones, and reversed in. A minute later the woman returned and out of sheer spite, drive right tight up to the back of the van. Guys got out and politely asked if her if she could move her car so they could drop the tail lift. I actually heard her tell them to F off. Now they were stuck and as it's a narrow road they couldn't swerve out. They knocked door to door trying to find the owner of the car in front so they could move their van. Really nasty piece of work.

It was nice to see that you still took the time to consider the trades when you spread the road stone evenly over the drive, even though you were under the cosh yourself workload-wise. Sadly there is always someone that wants to rant about something. Thank goodness I get on really well with all my neighbours on both sides of the road and we help each other out when needed. Life is to short to be ranting...
Had that problem with a crane years ago a technician couldn't get to me because it was late but he told me over the phone to take off the cover by the controls at the side,there will be an over ride button that disables the sensors (it was near the top on mine but was a larger crane so yours might be different) it will get you out of trouble my crane was hanging over the side at the time so had to get it folded up and it worked a treat.it was about 2 weeks before it got fixed and the crane ran ten times better until then without the sensors!! (The button will be a safety button of some sort there will be a tag or some type of lock to it so that you have to mean to push it.)
Dave - doing the right thing is hardly ever the eaiest thing. Whether that is mintaining equipment, dealing with difficult pople, or overcoming difficult jobs, it can be hard. But remember, challenges build character, character builds reputation, amd reputation ultimately brings the rewards you have earned. Stay in your path, come what may. great video's, the actros 6 wheeler i used to drive with a hiab started to do the same thing with the gearbox, when changing up it would go into neutral and i,d have to faff about to get it to stay in a gear, it would start jumping out of 4th then 6 , (just the gears you need to get speed up) . so into the garage it went and i' m sad to say the gear box went away and a replacement with a new clutch went in. £2000 ish. everything was good for 18mth then just before i retired bugger me it started it again . but because i was the only driver of it , the gaffer sold it with the fault at a knock down price.
Hi Dave watching you trying to seal your moulds . I would like to give you a wee heads up . I happened upon this adhesive stuff . I was doing some tiling on to a timber structure I have built in my back garden to hold a pizza oven. the product is called PRO STICK 2000 Made by SOVEREIGN . TO say it sticks is an under statement I put a tile on after 5 mins noticed it had a blemish on it tried to remove it by putting my fingers behind and pull no way was it coming had to put a crowbar behind it . and its black .
I have had several block paving subs who will not add onto a field of existing block. There either needs to be an existing or new concrete edge band between the old and the new, or they will price it to take up the old pavers, then put them back randomly mixed in with new block pavers. The mixed old and new looks better than large fields of old next to new, and they solve the problems that the existing has, if any, so it does not adversely affect the new work. If the client does not want that, then they let the competitors do the job and take the pain.

Off course RIP to Queen Lizzy, growing up in Australia through 60's & 70's she was a big deal (not so much last few decades) and I'm sure is still cared for by many Ozzies. Will be an interesting change over to "King Charles III". The lads surely did fantastic on that fencing/paving job. It's nice when the not so great is included with the really good stuff, keeps it real and shows you are the same as everyone else.
These sort of neighbours are a nightmare, i deliver plant equipment and at one house i had no choice but to drop my ramps across their enteranceway, soon as i did they rushed out got in their car, so lifted them so they could get out they drove away 2 mins later came back and this went on until i decided to leave ramps down until i got digger off lorry, lady was slightly aggresive husband had that look about him, hey ho far as i was concerned they were out of their driveway and can wait a few mins lol why do they do it

Had that problem with a crane years ago a technician couldn't get to me because it was late but he told me over the phone to take off the cover by the controls at the side,there will be an over ride button that disables the sensors (it was near the top on mine but was a larger crane so yours might be different) it will get you out of trouble my crane was hanging over the side at the time so had to get it folded up and it worked a treat.it was about 2 weeks before it got fixed and the crane ran ten times better until then without the sensors!!
(The button will be a safety button of some sort there will be a tag or some type of lock to it so that you have to mean to push it.)
Dave - doing the right thing is hardly ever the eaiest thing. Whether that is mintaining equipment, dealing with difficult pople, or overcoming difficult jobs, it can be hard. But remember, challenges build character, character builds reputation, amd reputation ultimately brings the rewards you have earned. Stay in your path, come what may. great video's, the actros 6 wheeler i used to drive with a hiab started to do the same thing with the gearbox, when changing up it would go into neutral and i,d have to faff about to get it to stay in a gear, it would start jumping out of 4th then 6 , (just the gears you need to get speed up) . so into the garage it went and i' m sad to say the gear box went away and a replacement with a new clutch went in. £2000 ish. everything was good for 18mth then just before i retired bugger me it started it again . but because i was the only driver of it , the gaffer sold it with the fault at a knock down price.
Hi Dave watching you trying to seal your moulds . I would like to give you a wee heads up . I happened upon this adhesive stuff . I was doing some tiling on to a timber structure I have built in my back garden to hold a pizza oven.
the product is called PRO STICK 2000 Made by SOVEREIGN . TO say it sticks is an under statement I put a tile on
after 5 mins noticed it had a blemish on it tried to remove it by putting my fingers behind and pull no way was it coming had to put a crowbar behind it . and its black .
I have had several block paving subs who will not add onto a field of existing block. There either needs to be an existing or new concrete edge band between the old and the new, or they will price it to take up the old pavers, then put them back randomly mixed in with new block pavers. The mixed old and new looks better than large fields of old next to new, and they solve the problems that the existing has, if any, so it does not adversely affect the new work. If the client does not want that, then they let the competitors do the job and take the pain.

These sort of neighbours are a nightmare, i deliver plant equipment and at one house i had no choice but to drop my ramps across their enteranceway, soon as i did they rushed out got in their car, so lifted them so they could get out they drove away 2 mins later came back and this went on until i decided to leave ramps down until i got digger off lorry, lady was slightly aggresive husband had that look about him, hey ho far as i was concerned they were out of their driveway and can wait a few mins lol why do they do it
