Hi to all at d&j,please be careful young finn as you only have one back and it has to last you, take it from someone that knows and now has a knackered back, you didn't tell us you had been on holiday again dave🤔was it a nice trip🙈😁lucky it was only a cut finger, cracking job on the big fence job stevie & big J,I look at that and think wtf do you start but you are so clever and professional it's just a normal day for you👌stevie you could have something call carpul tunnel which is painful and may need an operation, someone I worked with had to have both wrists operated on,cracking Wednesday videos guy's,cheers 🙂👍
The content you guys put in each video nowadays. is just fantastic that fencing job Stevie lad looks the dogs bollocks mate and can I just mention when you are using the nail gun you should have your glasses on ,for your own protection Stevie 😂 So looking forward to Sunday’s episode now😊😊😊😊
Oh those 3 foot by two foot by three inch thick Council slabs used to give me sleepless nights haha as a skinny 15 yr old straight from school the older apprentices would make sure us new starters got those jobs, swines but after a couple of months and a bit of muscle-memory soon be throwing them around when you got the knack, and they are still where I laid them over 50 years ago,
Good evening to the D&J BOYS another good video fencing looks a treat hope the wrist is better nothing worse having to use your other hand see you Sunday
I was just typing why you not using the elec muck truck, then you mentioned it in the vid.. i just got one myself, love it. Best thing since sliced bread..
Stevie, I'd think about getting a wrist support(s), if your wrist is till hurting, you're a hell of a lot younger than me, but once you hit the 40's these things can catch up with you and stay. Sure you've already mentioned that you all do this, but if your doing repetitive straining jobs, swap around for a bit. I'm probably telling you stuff you know too well, but it's always worth mentioning. Think when you come to fit the bigger fence panels, you won't need to time lapse doing them, that'll be a walk in the park compared toi what's already done. Can't wait to catch up on Sunday.
Can`t remember the exact weight of those 3x2` slabs but I do remember they were back breakers, Young Jordan has some serious strength about him, Mind You he has an ex body builder keeping him right! Bravo folks another cracking half hour video, Keep er lit gang.
I fear for Finn's back 😮 the way he was lifting those slabs. Remember kenetic lifting. 😊 The 5 P's Plan - plan your lift adequately. Position - centre the body & feet correctly. Pick - lift item using good posture. Proceed - move toward desired location. Place - set object down safely.
I suffer with same problem! Turned out to be "carpul tunnel syndrome" effecting my wrist n shoulder! Get it checked before it gets worse! Wrist brace in only thing henping me at the min. Keep up great content 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Abit of RSI injury there Stevie lad, either strap it for support or rest, be careful can lead to arthritis, but you have a fantastic team around you to help, fence looking amazing though, definitely look better on this property than standard panels. Dave, fin and jordon great work on the pathway .
Ouch! Those coucil slabs are literally back breakers, I hate working with them! Its probably too late now but instead of staggeri the slats both sides, put them directly behind eachother but with black membrane in between... Gives it a really nice finish 😍
*Good afternoon D and J family* Well it's nice to see the sun 🌞 coming through the window over the snow ❄️ and frost. The *litter* thing David winds me up so much. It boils my piss when I see a full Mc Donald's brown bag spread everywhere on the main road. *Just absolute scum bags* 😡. *Lovely patio job* 👍🏻 and nice to see David and Finnbar doing the business together. *Hand balling* those old slabs though😢 ....the power barrow would as you say be the easier option but superb cardio never the less 😉😉😉 *Stevie* - that fencing job - that hit / miss start to the job ....class mate ....you could do with some *neoprene wrist wraps* mate ...just to help support your hands.....feeling your pain as I've had that many times .... *Great to see Gavin @spitfireengineering* ....what a lovely fella ! And of course the always *beautiful Bernie* . I've literally had the *worst week* ever with Shingles on top of the leukaemia which has been one helluva challenge but I'm out the other side now thank god ....well thank antibiotics and cream really 😂...still smiling 😉😉😉 *See you Sunday* , Gary 🙏
Stevie I am 44 and my right wrist has been not right since I picked up a relatively small slab at a weird angle about 6 months ago. The issue sounds similar to yourself, hopefully with you being a bit younger it gets better soon 🤞.
Excellent video, Dave's looking like he's losing weight and Fin looks like he's filling out. If you both keep lifting and working like that, you both might end up as trim as Stevie😂😂😂😂😂
Stevie, you better cheak regs for the height of that front fence where you are. As I did a 6ft tall fence the same as what your doing years ago, and the council made me take it down to 5ft tall.
Dave and Stevie loving the videos and is it too late to say a Happy New Year? Stevie if your wrist is still hurting then get a physio to assess it properly rather than masking it with some wrist supports. It'll only get worse as the support will allow you to work but will hide the extra damage you're doing. For the cost of a few Costas you can get it assessed. You're too young to want to be stuck with bad wrists. When using the nail gun pleae wea eye protection as although they have plenty of safety fearures built into the guns of all the reported eye accidents most would have been stopped by using proper PPE. Looking forward to seeing the finished result of the fence on Sunday.
Hey can you explain this to me in simple terms The hard standing must tie-in flush to the back of footway level (where the property boundary and highway boundary meet). Hard standings constructed using ‘un-bound’ gravel or similar surfaces must also include a 1m depth of hard standing apron adjacent to the highway to prevent unbound material being deposited onto the highway
Quite easy really , if you are using loose stone or gravel in your garden , from the back of the public footway into your property you must construct a hard border of paving slabs / cobbles /block paving /etc , if specified of 1 metre to stop the loose stone from spilling into the footpath.
Poor lad had to double handle those flags, when the pickaxe was lifting them, why did you hit with a sledgehammer to break in half, to make it easier. Bet he slept well that night.
Wonder how long we will see mention of Ashfield in videos for being an inspiration for companies making videos - they have just made 20 people redundant and called in the receivers
Another great video but must say picking up slabs like that by yourself when there is two of you , Fin you will pay for that when you get older . and Steve repetitive strain injury can be just as bad as lifting heavy heavyweights . Its hard work you all do but you must look after yourself
Missing out on advertising to know where you are based. I’m sure the subscribers if they are local to you may want work done etc and maybe future customers
They are based in Nottingham and all the vehicles have the email address and contact numbers both mobile and land lines they also have a long standing fencing and aggregate supplies depot
Like quite a few have said, be careful lifting those 3x2 flags, bad back and you’ll be off work for a while, even worse if you get a hernia, not worth it, make it a 2 man lift and look after yourself.
Them slabs definitely 2 man job!! Fin you’ll cripple your back and only young fella.
Hello , I knackered my back lifting those council slabs . They're so awkward and heavy , either a two man lift or get a sack truck 😁👍 great job .
Please don’t put me with the boss, I have to lift everything 😂
I was barrow man 😂
Those council 3x2's slabs! your back knows it when you have had a day moving those
Finns going to be in a wheelchair on Sundays video from those slabs 😂
Hi to all at d&j,please be careful young finn as you only have one back and it has to last you, take it from someone that knows and now has a knackered back, you didn't tell us you had been on holiday again dave🤔was it a nice trip🙈😁lucky it was only a cut finger, cracking job on the big fence job stevie & big J,I look at that and think wtf do you start but you are so clever and professional it's just a normal day for you👌stevie you could have something call carpul tunnel which is painful and may need an operation, someone I worked with had to have both wrists operated on,cracking Wednesday videos guy's,cheers 🙂👍
loving the 30 min plus video's keep up the good work guys and girls and keep these brilliant video's rolling.
Great fencing job Stevie and Joe, the path and patio looked heavy going with those slabs catch you all on Sunday
Excellent Wednesday episode thanks. Stevie bet you will be glad when that modern hit & miss fencing is finished, loads of work mate!
The content you guys put in each video nowadays. is just fantastic that fencing job Stevie lad looks the dogs bollocks mate and can I just mention when you are using the nail gun you should have your glasses on ,for your own protection Stevie 😂 So looking forward to Sunday’s episode now😊😊😊😊
Love this show. Dad Dave I could watch all day, Son Stevie just lately you could listen to on the radio.
Oh those 3 foot by two foot by three inch thick Council slabs used to give me sleepless nights haha as a skinny 15 yr old straight from school the older apprentices would make sure us new starters got those jobs, swines but after a couple of months and a bit of muscle-memory soon be throwing them around when you got the knack, and they are still where I laid them over 50 years ago,
Really lovely fencing job Stevie!!! looking forward to seeing the finished article on Sunday!
Lovely job on the hit & miss fencing.
Manual work certainly takes its toll on the body. Stevee get yourself a wrist support .
Great fence job take care Stevie but at least you didn’t fall down a manhole 😊 The path will be a great one to see finished too
Really like that fence. Very neat👍
What a team on the slabbing Finn Jordan and Dave
Good evening to the D&J BOYS another good video fencing looks a treat hope the wrist is better nothing worse having to use your other hand see you Sunday
I was just typing why you not using the elec muck truck, then you mentioned it in the vid.. i just got one myself, love it. Best thing since sliced bread..
The fence looking good can’t wait to see it finished❤

Great job love the fencex
I’m surprised you guys need a gym with the work you all do! 💪💪
Top Fencing Job Steve and Big J
Face the barrow the way you're going 💪💙
Can`t remember the exact weight of those 3x2` slabs but I do remember they were back breakers, Young Jordan has some serious strength about him, Mind You he has an ex body builder keeping him right! Bravo folks another cracking half hour video, Keep er lit gang.
I believe the old council 3x2 specials were about 70 or 80kg
Stevie you don’t have to wear your hi viz in the supermarket 😂😂😂😂😂
It’s all about the advertising 😂
Where’s Scotty, great video as always👍👍
Great show team keep up the great work Eamonn
Well done everybody, you all work so hard, great team work. Thanks for sharing. Take care and stay safe. 😘
That old brickwork has seen better days Stevie.......

And ask the extra man stood next to you to help!
Yassss Wednesday special 🎉
I suffer with same problem! Turned out to be "carpul tunnel syndrome" effecting my wrist n shoulder! Get it checked before it gets worse! Wrist brace in only thing henping me at the min. Keep up great content 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Gday Dave, another great Wednesday Episode. And great work from all the guys and gals of D&J Projects😁😊🙌👍
😎
Impressive church tower 😮
Abit of RSI injury there Stevie lad, either strap it for support or rest, be careful can lead to arthritis, but you have a fantastic team around you to help, fence looking amazing though, definitely look better on this property than standard panels. Dave, fin and jordon great work on the pathway .
Nice to see you all

Its probably too late now but instead of staggeri the slats both sides, put them directly behind eachother but with black membrane in between... Gives it a really nice finish 😍
Good idea 👊
Won't the membrane eventually tear, flap in wind, or go mouldy?@@DJProjectss
Stevie you need a wrist support, you can get them in most sports wear shops
It be a good idea if you went on a lifting course
Hahaha, Mr. Mute,Big Jay Jism.
"Congratulations Jism"what movie and which part is this reference from???.
You need to keep a first aid kit in your trucks.😊
We have them in all the trucks
Top draw as always from D and J
Its all about technique with 3x2 walk it to edge and flip'er you'll save the back
Love the look of the hit and miss fence but looks as though it would be a nightmare to treat it.
Do you ever use a Grabbo or similar for listing slabs? The slabs you guys were lifting are very heavy/awkward
Good evening D&J team ….
Another good video Stevie fencing looking brilliant don’t you carry a first Aid ⛑️ kit in your truck .👏
👋Stevie you need to get 2 leather wrist straps for support 💙
*Good afternoon D and J family*

Love❤ this family. Aloha 👀🤙💯💯🏌️♂️
Keep fighting my brother 👊❤️
Cracking video lad's thanks for sharing 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Sack barrow for slabs wheel barrow for muck
Me and Finn was only saying yesterday we need a sack trolley
Stevie I am 44 and my right wrist has been not right since I picked up a relatively small slab at a weird angle about 6 months ago. The issue sounds similar to yourself, hopefully with you being a bit younger it gets better soon 🤞.
Finn shouldn’t be lifting them slabs by himself 😮
The double sided fence looking well,, which neighbour is paying for it or are both paying if not one is getting a nice fence ❤❤❤❤
The Stevie talk show
How's your TH-cam channel coming along🤔oh know you don't have one do you🤣🤡👍
Same surname as Phil Foden. Says a lot @@markfoden765
But you watched it….. So the boys and girls @ D&J say thanks. Now shush and be nice.
And been watching for a quite a while and will continue to do so. So you know what you can do with that shush.
Excellent video, Dave's looking like he's losing weight and Fin looks like he's filling out. If you both keep lifting and working like that, you both might end up as trim as Stevie😂😂😂😂😂
😂
Jesus Dave you could of gave Finn a hand lifting the slabs poor young lads back be destroyed madness
I was barrow man and he wanted to lift them
Stevie, you better cheak regs for the height of that front fence where you are. As I did a 6ft tall fence the same as what your doing years ago, and the council made me take it down to 5ft tall.
Did someone tell them. How did they find out?
@tomalex4806 they were driving passed the house and stopped. But I think someone reported it.
Dave and Stevie loving the videos and is it too late to say a Happy New Year? Why didn’t you break the slabs? Would’ve been easier to lift that looked horrible x
Great video, just watch your back with those slabs Finn. Once you injure you back as a young man, it stays with you.
Wrist injury, so many jokes, not enough time.
🤔😉🤭🤣😂😅
Some black cloth would have been a good idea between the double sided hit and miss. Good for privacy.
Look out on Sundays video 😉
Good morning D&J
That fence looks a bit pricey mate 😂😂
Do you receive the slats ready rounded Stevie or do you round the edges yourself
Already rounder edge
Get some wrist support mate, can get that stuff from places like Home Bargains and such

@ thank you for your response 👍
Ignore mr no TH-cam channel pedro who only comments negative about stevie talking, stevie you carry talking as much as you want💪💪👍
Fin please man look after your back as you only get one off them. 2 man lift those slabs 😊
Poor lad had to double handle those flags, when the pickaxe was lifting them, why did you hit with a sledgehammer to break in half, to make it easier.
Bet he slept well that night.
Just a lot easier for the grab to grab them and less mess on the front as we didn’t have much space
That’s the most manual work I’ve seen Dave doing, he’s usually sat in the digger 😂
😂
Wonder how long we will see mention of Ashfield in videos for being an inspiration for companies making videos - they have just made 20 people redundant and called in the receivers
Do you mean Ashville?
Another great video but must say picking up slabs like that by yourself when there is two of you , Fin you will pay for that when you get older .

That bait bag is Gay AF 😂😂😂😂
Why don’t you nail both ends and then mark a line down the middle of each board so you can get a perfect straight line with your nails
When your getting your neck tattoos Stevie ?😛
U could put a claim in there lad, corpy flags are 2 man job, bossman might be a h&s nightmare. great videos though.
watch your back you will pay for it used to work for council years ago and they are brutes take care men
Why not start at bottom be easier.
Shouldn`t be lifting them slabs on your own, when your discs burst your life will change for the worse. TRUST ME I KNOW.
Like quite a few have said, be careful lifting those 3x2 flags, bad back and you’ll be off work for a while, even worse if you get a hernia, not worth it, make it a 2 man lift and look after yourself.
Stevie, you look and sound tired, no bouncy "good morning guys" with your first video clip of the long fence, not you
Great job as always from a great team
