How did you get the realistic sd70ace idle and running sound? Reason: every time I try to get an upgrade for the sd70ace dlc, it’s either no sounds and/or continues using the default sound
I've seen freight locomotives pulling Amtrak trains before...but how? I know that the couplers, air brakes and MU connections are all the same, but wouldn't there be issues with gearing etc.? Can a locomotive designed for passenger service such as EMD F125 readily be used in a consist with freight locomotives? Thank you.

It's not the smoke, if could be that it's have engine trouble, also it could be that the trucks (axles on the train) could be either, stuck or just not working right.

D Smith All locomotives have a switch in the cab for freight / passenger operations.

@@dsmith9964 yes for example in real life a UP sd70ace can be a passenger locomotive if they needed it to because the cut out can be set for passenger
