Why do drivers get punished for team mistakes? Because if there was a fine on things like unsafe release teams the richer teams would be doing it all the time because it is "worth it". Make the fine too high for them not to believe it is worth it and smaller teams will be in big trouble when presented with the fines. Having their drivers punished is something teams tend not to want anyway. (It's still flawed but still works better than a fine.)
Drivers work for points. Points are worth millions at the end of the championship. Giving a fine for anybody in a team is practically useless. If you hit the driver's race, you hit the whole team altogether.
Most boring race of the season.. people forgot Bahrein. 5 laps 3.8 seconds for Max... That Red Bull is stil capable of domination if it gets the setup and practice right
