    When this came up in my feed, I saw the thumbnail and gasped, then my sad celiac self declared to my partner “that has to be seitan”
    As the video went on and it was clear that it could be made gluten free, I immediately started sourcing ingredients and made it the next day
    It was jaw droppingly good!

    Yay! A recipe that doesn't have any vital wheat gluten in it because I have a wheat allergy which makes it a bit tricky to make certain things or purchase that I want to try, but can't due to it being made from wheat or vital wheat gluten...
    By the way, I was looking for the place where you could purchase the tofu skin and can't seem to find it...😏😏😏😏
    Much appreciated @saucestache...

    Confesh first: pork belly was definitely NOT something I ever pined for (before or after dumping animal meat decades ago) but I'm coming around seeing all the vegan foodie takes the last year or so. Bet this would be great chopped small and used in Asian-style lettuce wraps (even the 'excess' fatty bits). Lots of possibilities!

    I like my pork belly crispy on the outside a lil gelatinous in the fatty areas then coated in a nice sweet savory sauce on some rice

    Do you think it works if I sub the coconut milk for flavorless coconut oil?

    • @SauceStache
      @SauceStache  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So I wouldn't do a coconut oil... I'm not sure how well that would thicken with the heat. I would just try a different plant based milk if you want to stay away from coconut.

    I always tell ppl Sauce Stache is the father of vegan and Tabatha Brown is the mother of vegan. I consider them our parents who are always teaching us new things to try. They will always be my fav and thanx to Sauce Stache showing us how to make cheese the vegan way, i now want to be a vegan and say bye bye to being a vegetarian. Once i perfect his cheese, im a vegan. Rn i cnt say that. That is the only thing i cnt perfect. Thanx Sauce Stache for ur authentic videos. We love u.
