I didn’t like the resident evil films, but I love your content, so I decided to watch this anyway. I’m not disappointed.
Question: How long does it take to make videos like this, ending cards and all? I’m curious because I’m thinking about trying my hand at this concept, and I’d like to know how much time I’ll be dedicating to it.
I think I gotta say the second one as well, it's just so over the top.

Interesting fact about dogs, their noses are so sensitive they can detect changes in a humans blood sugar level, some diabetics have pet dogs that can warn them about severe blood sugar changes even before they feel the affects.

I personally like the movies just due to them having a basic understanding of the source material and trying to make their own story. I don’t like every plot element or twist, but they are fun to watch nonetheless. I think 2 is the best personally

pretty much, yes they are dumb action flicks, but they are FUN to watch, well the first two were, three was passable anything beyond that was ... forgettable.
to be fair, the first three parts gave a crap about the continuity and shit. but if we take part 6, we suddenly hear that the founder's daughter was the reason why the T-virus existed even though RE 2's explanation to the T-virus was explained by Dr. Ashford trying to create a medicine for his daughter, with Cain later taking the T-Virus research away from him

It's kinda sad when you get to the point where you're sinning a horror movie for doing horror movie stuff; or comedies for doing comedy, or dramas for having drama. It's like "Gasp! This scene invoked the tiniest reaction from me? *SIN!!!"*
As a stroke survivor who battles with retro & anterograde amnesia. Folks are always surprised when I remember something. It's amazing to see in people sometimes.
I like to close my eyes and pretend Jeremy and Birdman are in the same room reacting to the movie in real time.
I like to imagine Jeremy getting a smug look on his face as he says a “sin” only for that smug smile to slowly fade to an embarrassed wince as Birdman lays into him

Normally I get some chuckles when they aren't being lazy (looking at you Rise of Skywalker vid, way to blow an easy layup), but I spent their whole Friday video wondering how this channel was going to react. At one point I literally yelled at my computer "do you even know any black people?" And I'm so white, I took the Pepsi challenge and chose Perrier.

Fun fact in case you didn't know. The reason for the blood types is because of a Japanese belief that your blood type determines your personality (similar to the Four Humors) so any time you see a game where it lists blood type it's basically telling you if the person is intellectual, aggressive, silly, or serious. I recently binged this movie series with my aunt. She's a super RE nerd, loves the games and knows the plot like the back of her hand. I'm more of a casual RE fan with the movies being my first introduction to the series, then going back to the games because the movies piqued my interest. And we both agree that the first two movies do a pretty decent job of sticking to the source material while making their own movies. The third (desert) was kinda eh. The fourth (prison) was interesting(?). The fifth (new hive) was pure fan service. And the sixth (Raccoon City 2.0) (DID YOU KNOW THERE'S A SIXTH?!) the sixth is the worst kind of trash. If we say the movie [redacted] we immediately know what we're talking about because that's how much we hated it.
The 2nd is our personal favorite, the 1st is second place, the fourth comes third because of the set-up, the fifth is our guilty pleasure, the third we pout because Carlos deserved better, and there's nothing else........
I was so confused what you meant by "gave birth to Black Widow" and had to go looking up lol. For anyone else that was confused, Milla's daughter played the young Natasha in the Black Widow movie. Cool!
5:55 For me, the actual sin is, that the laser was horizontally moving, but the way her neck was cut implies she either looked unnaturally upwards or that the laser suddenly cuts at an angle.
Its humorous that you receive any dislikes, being that all you do is point out (pointless) “sins” that they claim.
It’s crazy to me that they profit off of dumbing down film audiences who use TH-cam.
Oh yeah, especially with people claiming to had watched the movie that was being "Sinned".
Think of it like this I I usually use this example in that is the Kingdom Hearts series you have plenty of negative reviews and criticisms of the series phrase writing and story which is actually some of the best video games have to offer and yeah I know that's really not a high bar when games like the last of us 2 exist many critics for example the absolute garbage pile that is the Cosmonaut variety hour seriously don't ever take anything that guy says seriously he never knows what he's talking about we'll make up and do what Jeremy does to bring across a narrative that is ultimately pointless especially for people who actually played the games and decided to pay attention to them many people just do not want to pay attention because look at the Disney in the Final Fantasy stuff and instead want to then just send everything else leaves CinemaSins the example but when people point out the flaws in their criticisms were their arguments on why it's bad people instantly jump in who usually have not played the actual game or seen the films rather they like them or not to try and make their point look like it doesn't matter overall it's how CinemaSins fans tend to react when they see someone point out the fly in Jeremy's argument usually those people have not seen the movies CinemaSins well sins and when people point out the problems with the criticism they have or the flaws they want to defend Jeremy because they don't have any other opinion to piggyback and they don't have a unique one and they also just want to s*** on something you'll also see this with channels like Nostalgia Critic who I do somewhat enjoy and what they do is they pull that s*** when someone points out the flaws with a criticism I've seen people do what the Birdman here does with other TH-camrs who do criticisms from the Revenge of the prequels guy doing cosmonauts stuff and Studio children covering some of the flaws with old bennettthesage videos and plenty of people with anything called redlettermedia

As weird as the RE movie were with regards to the source material, I actually always greatly enjoyed it as this weird sci-fi-horror-action flick that at best paid lip service to the source material. That laser hallway scene is also amazing from a cinematic perspective, even if it makes little sense logically. On one hand, I'm kinda' glad that the RE movies ended up as this weird side thing we can laugh and talk about instead of being doomed to be a series of generic, forgettable video game movies, but on the other hand, there's a wonderful series of dark adventure movies waiting to be made. I could easily see a Resident Evil trilogy that stays true to the spirit and plot of the video games, while also being engrossing movies movies in their own right regardless of being based on video games. Maybe in another timeline!

Missed sin- hair and fingernails don’t actually continue to grow after death, they just appear to because the skin on the head and hands shrinks as it dries out.

Anyway, I actually think the first 2 movies are pretty good. Adapting a video game story into a movie is pretty difficult, since video games generally last a lot longer than 1-2 hours, and especially with Resident Evil where, at the time, the horror came from one character slowly moving through areas filled with one or a few zombies/monsters at a time with tank controls. A 1:1 adaptation was never gonna work, better to make an original story that still stays faithful to the source material, and they did just that.

Possibly unpopular opinion here, but I played the 1st 3 RE games, and loved the 1st 4 movies (haven't seen 5 + yet) So i feel the rebuttal to CinemaSins is quite refreshing. gonna go binge some more now. :D
I remember being in 6th grade in 1999 and I played Resident Evil for the first time. The part in the mansion around the beginning of the game where that big ass wall crawling thing busts through the window for the first time, that part literally made me yell out because it was unexpected and scared the shit out of me 😆

Besides Cinema Sins being ...what they were, are, and always will be, the annoying thing about their older videos is the audio. Jeremy often sounded like it was late at night and wasn't trying to let his parents sleeping in the next room know he was still awake.

I was in middle school when it came out and I loved it. Out of all of the Resident Evils, this one was my favorite. I was excited for the second one because of Nemesis, but I was hugely let down by it. He's my favorite big bad of the series.
I personally loved the movies for what they were… I was only 7 when I watched the first one and played the games on ps1 but never finished them from being to scared so I saw them as separate things sharing similarities and I love them both differently
If you forget that these movies were suposed to be about the Resident Evil games, they are pretty good, specially the 3D ones

I actually still like this movie a lot. I watched it as a kid, before even really playing my first Resident Evil game (aside from trying to play RE1 on my cousin's gamecube, before getting traumatized and blocking off the memory), so it holds a special place in my heart as one of my favorite horror movies.
The sequels can suck a dick though, even if there are scenes i really liked like that bullshit with the saw-off shotgun and coin packs

I have a feeling that the great portion of the people who watched this movie when it came out didn’t even know that Resident Evil is a video game series. The audience probably didn’t know that this movie isn’t a faithful adaptation of the source material which is probably why the audience score wasn’t so low.

I've lost too many months cranking Scenario A, B (Claire and Leon), Extreme Battle and 4th Survivor to 11 to just let that slide.

I read that the owners of the game franchise demanded that the movie have little to do with the original concept. This is why Paul W. Anderson had to write a new script.

I think the biggest issue with these movies is how it feels like it's called Resident Evil for money since it feels so detached from the games. Even though my expectations for the new movie are low, at least it feels like it's trying to be an actual RE movie.
the lisa trevor that they made looks like it was made for a children's play (just my opinion). it's like the fiasco with belle's dress but for horror movie fans: when cosplayers have a higher chance at doing a better job with this costume than a multimillion dollar company
i can only imagine in the sequel video where Th3Birdman is explaining to Jeremy about how The Nemesis was created and Jeremy being Jeremy is gonna be confused about how Nemesis came about, why he still has human conscience and how he's a superstrong zombie capable of wielding a giant rocket launcher with like one hand....
Don't forget, he'll ask why he's named nemesis, and not a different name.

Topher Grace while not physically a match for Eddie Brock was so far the best of the 2 live action versions. Topher showed the hate he and the symbiote had for Parker. Eddie for blaming Parker for ruining his career and the symbiote for being rejected by Parker. What did Tom Hardy's version really show? Nothing. They turned him into the hero right away. It took decades for Eddie Brock/Venom to even start to be a good guy and they did it in the first movie. No the real Eddie Brock/Venom would be eating anyone in front of him.

I think I'm in the minority here, but I really liked this and the second film. When I was a kid respecting the source material never occurred to me as a thing, I just enjoyed the action sequences, the zombies, and the lickers as I was seeing on screen what I had seen in the video game and then the second film came out and I really enjoyed that one too, mainly because Mike Epps was the best part in that film for my friends and I as we still quote him in this film regularly like if we go over a hard bump, pot hole, or something we go "GTA motherfucker, 10 points!" or when we get something new or try to make something unique we say "Motherfucker please, my shit is custom." or playing a game online and we're like "That big motherfucker got a rocket launcher!" or if one of us coughs or something (even way before COVID) we'd be like "You should've told me you were bit motherfucker, I'm all hanging with you and shit." Lol, now the rest of the films I don't care for as they are just straight dog water. I felt like the first two films had charm and would've been fine, not perfect, but fine if they were the only 2 to exist before doing a more source grounded reboot or something, but instead it just wouldn't die.
