This album was very good every single new track is AMAZING ❤
During TKC stream, William Black came in and he was telling us STAY was about his best friend that took his own life 😢, the lyrics hit different when you know the story.
This album truly is a super easy listen but in the best way possible. I don't really want to skip any song, they're all in between 7 to 9.5 for me except Last Forever (Want It All really grew on me). Definitely album of the year contender for me considering the consistency, as well as the variety considering how cohesive the project feels to me!
Word
for me it was a 9/10 album. loved almost every track, highlights are want it all, bleed 4 u and whiplash, maybe also shatterproof
Stay really grew on me after I found out what the lyrics of the song were really about. I’d say it’s probably my favourite of the album
Decent album. Whiplash, Stay and Enemy are the highlights for me.
Overall I loved the album. Whiplash, Lie, Bleed 4 U and Shatterproof I think was my favorite too. (I had to edit it because every time I heard the next song I liked it even more 🤣🤣🤣). Unfortunately, Said The Sky didn't appear on the album with him, something I was most hoping to see. 8/10
Did you review Ruins by William black at all in the past ? Can't seem to find it if you did. Cheers
Nah I didn't
My opinion:
- straight into the ground: 6 (I like the song, but not very much the drop)
- last forever: 7.5 (cool song, the drop is ok, added to playlist tho)
- want it all: 6.75
- in the cold: 7.5
- stay 8.5 (the only one I really like of the album, probably in my top 200 ever favourite music)
- my own advice: 7
- beautiful nothing: 7
- whiplash: 7.5
- higher now: 6.5
- enemy: 7.25
- lie: 7
- bleed 4 you: 7.25
- shatterproof: 7.25
At first listening I was disappointed from the album , but anyway I found at least one music I like and there aren't ones I don't like, so not bad after all
This lp is defo one of the better to have come out this year, but idk why but its couldve been so much better. I mean, the Fairlane collab doesnt hit as hard as Broken (my fav WB song) & overall I much prefer the new Au5 lp, which so far is my fav lp of the year (also, you NEED to react to it!)
Are you still planning on reacting to the ILLENIUM remix album?
One of my favourite albums of the year. Only critique is it feels like the drops of want it all, last forever, in the cold and beautiful nothing leave something to be desired
existencial dance music?? xd
love this whole album, Shatterproof is my most fav tho
Higher Now is an infatuation!!! It just puts a smile on my face! So upbeat and uplifting!
William Black is one of the few melodic bass artists (with Nurko for example) who doesn't miss! Beautiful Nothing, Enemy, and Lie were my favorites. My only critique is that the intro and outro songs coulda been better. Noone has been able to beat illenium's "Ascend" album intro and outro!
I thought this album was decent. I tend to think William Black holds back slightly and it holds back some songs from being really good. In some cases like Lie (my opinion lol), I think he just plays it too safe. It sounds good but I just want a bit more from the songs. The ones that stood out to me are Straight From The Ground, Shatterproof and In The Cold, which is my favorite off of the album. I’m a Mazare and Dabin fanboy so that’s why I love both those songs and Straight From The Ground sounds very different for William Black and I really like it. Overall a decent album. I might give it a couple more listens to see if I like it more or not
same I think it was good but a little underwhelming almost as if the sound wasnt quite evolved from pieces, which is one of my favorite albums but I was kinda looking for something different
@@erikkyle92 Pieces is really good. Yeah I’d say this albums good but underwhelming as well. I was expecting a bit more from it but I was alright with what we got
I think Pieces just set the standard so high that this album feels extremely mid to me. Not a bad album by any means, but definitely didn't live up to expectations.
Just went to his 2nd show of The Nature Of Hope Tour in LA & the energy was absolutely amazing. Production, visuals, vibes but more importantly, the music was great. You know he had to play songs from his Pages & Pieces albums but he incorporated a lot of different sub-genres so that was cool. Proud of our sad boy!
Great reaction video, you’d probably have to listen to it a few times to really up the ratings. After listening to it a few times, I realized I actually have a few favorites in this album.
Whiplash, Higher Now, Straight into the Ground, Lie, Bleed 4 U 🔥
When i saw the tracklist, i did not know what to expect really, considering some tracks dont have a vocalist, or me being unsure how Collaborists like FRND or Mazare would feel with William Black. After listening to it tho, i really enjoyed it, like really really enjoyed it. I think its first of all a severe upgrade to his last body of work, i love the dynamics this album has and the variety it provides while still feeling like a cohesive William Black Album. There are 2 things that keep me from giving it a 10/10: The intro feels a bit off considering the vibe of this album, maybe a bit too dark for my likings + there is no said the sky collab haha. Overall great work in my opinion
Already liked most of the singles, and none of the new one's were a miss for me either. Whiplash and Higher Now as standouts. Solid 8/10 album for me
Whiplash is definitely my favorite here great reaction insko!
Great reactions as always! Thank you Insko! Also when you gonna react to the midnight kids album???
Yay finally an album reaction woohooo!
9/10 album holy shit. Hits hard for me
This album is a 10/10 for me love everything about the album ❤❤❤
Amazing album
Whiplasssshhhhh 🔥
Pretty solid album!
i love this album...
Very Calm album
William Black has heavy sets, but not heavy songs.
potions is a good heavy sound
@@Lucoski77 ...what. Potions isn't even his song!
@@linstar9172 it's obvious I was talking about the remix
@@Lucoski77 Which is also not heavy.
@@linstar9172 I don't know if you mean heavy sound or other , for example try "Don't Look Down" , that's not heavy for you too? (imo that is the most heavy William Black drop I like) Or for example the "heavier" music I like is L3v3ls remix - Feel Good, is that considered heavy for You ?
Pretty solid album. 8.5/10. 💥
