The Tanakh has so many commandments, rules, and proscriptions that everyone who ascribes to it is regularly sinning one way or another. It's interesting how religious fundies obsess over other people's sins while ignoring their own.
Anyone who dismisses what I say either has never met fundies or is being dishonest. I've been around a lot of fundies in my life. Even the social science research shows fundamentalist behavior. If you lack this knowledge, feel free to learn something new or don't.
Why am I rebuking ignorance, obtuseness, or dishonesty? Because I'm opposed to such things. If I likewise expressed ignorance, obtuseness, or dishonesty, I'd rebuke myself. But because that opposes my values, I do my best to avoide such problematic behavior. It would be dishonest to claim I do the same.

You're very wrong. They obsess about their own sins and confess they every morning and every night even those who never or hardly ever sin so they're constantly thinking about guarding from sin and want to guard others as well. It bothers them to know their neighbors are sinning. Those who don't care about their neighbors it doesn't bother them and then lasseiz faire.

I'd like to see the study on which you are basing this highly generalized observation of yours. I've lived in various observant communities for 35 years and don't recall anyone ever asking me about any of my sins, let alone obsessing over them ! Male mallard ducks have an exceptionally high rate of homosexuality, as high as 19%. Black swans have an even higher rate, around 25%, and male pairs will steal eggs from females to raise them themselves. Two male griffon vultures at the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo were observed having “enthusiastic” sex, and raised a chick together when provided with an egg.
Both male and female American bison have been observed engaging in homosexual behavior, over 20 species of bat are known to form same sex pairs, and bonobos as a species are inherently bisexual.
Homosexuality has also been observed in penguins, lions, elephants, giraffes, dolphins, sheep, hyenas, lizards, and turtles, and that's not even a comprehensive list.
So, maybe get back to me when you have a question not based on a false premise. Nature correct or anything?

But what isnt answered is the important question: "Why is homosexuality supposed to be a SIN?" the answer was "I dont know."
It is NO offer for a young gay or lesbian , to leave his or her beloved partner and life in celibacy.
It is NO offer for a homosexual person to marry a oposide sex person and make the other person and himself unhappy, frustratred till developing domestical violence.

Same sex and who we are brought up with is more familiar as children. Boys often only identify with other boys. So as an adult one knows what is pleasurable in someone of the same sex. If sex is a game, then people can play it any which way.
My Father used me for his sexual pleasure because my Mom hated his abusive behavior and wouldn't be near him.
I needed his love and intimacy, but not adult intimacy. The process of development as a boy was spoiled by this and confused me when puberty began age 10. My confusion was perpetuated by father's family and psychiatrists one side telling me to act on my same sex attraction and religious christians friends and some others from my father's family warned me not to act on them. Christianity polarized the problem. So one could say christianity and other religions are more natural.
Years after I discovered my Mom was Jewish, I began to investigate Torah for real, and abandon christian perversion of Torah. It is also a problem in the Torah world, where people cut off their heart from their head knowledge. So I also became a problem in that world for exposing abuse there as well, which is just as covered up as in the cristian and secular world. Secular world covers it up with lgbtqqaatkip+ political mentality. A 2nd P is being added to include paedophilia as a sexuality. So incest may be more natural, but it does harm a child because a child needs safe intimacy not adult sexual intimacy. As an adult one can choose to sexualize a relationship with any other adult, and let it screw one's psyche. Baruch Hashem better late than never I am beginning to experience feelings I should have been able to be safe to feel as a toddler, young boy, teenager and young man. It is frustrating to be in my 50s to begin to grow out of just same sex attraction of pre puberty to feel male enough to think my attraction to women can lead to a healthy relationship and sexual intimacy, and address how unnatural or intrusive it appears to have intercourse where urine comes out, almost as intrusive as where faeces comes out.

I don’t understand the thinking behind the statement “I don’t know why it’s a sin.” Especially from someone who understands the value of family in the context of religious practice. For two people of opposite genders to be together for life is the most challenging relationship on the earth. The challenge is designed by HaShem. There is nothing on this earth that encourages more growth and maturity than choosing to spend your life with someone so absolutely different than you. We simply miss the mark when we choose to spend our lives with someone because it’s easier. What could be easier than two people with the exact same make up spending intimate time with one another? It is a sun because it is the easier path.

It's up to you as an individual to attempt to rationalize G-d's law, if you wish. Most faithful Jews just say because that's what G-d intended or wanted or said so. Just like he said one shall not Judge. We are all sinful, but G-d wants us to be better. A homosexual who does more mitzvahs than a straight murderer or rapist would be closesr to G-d and have a higher standing.

But GD himself did not say it's bad. It was written as such in a translation of a translation. The #1 thing we can do as Jews and as children of Hashim is to question everything, you can not build faith on blind following, you can't build a relationship on ignorance. A proper jew must strive to understand what it is that Hashim is asking of us and why he is asking that. Hebrew is a dead language, what we have now is a reconstruction based of a translation of a translation of a translation. It is not to be taken as the true word of GD.

So, murder is only a sin because God says so?
He were were right if we were animals but we are created after God's image and we are able to understand the moral law.
How can you compare sodomy with eating pork?
Having sex with my brother is more natural than with my wife??
So, i would say to learn what is normal, look at your parents, are they your father and your uncle or you came from two women?
One could argue in our fallen state sin is natural but still we are created after God's image that's why we are held accountable for our deeds. This also how rabbi Paul writes in his first letter to the Romans.

Unless you are homosexual, you won't understand that homosexuality is not a choice. Rabbi is talking as if we can choose it, as simply as choosing a footbal team. I would have chosen to be hetero if only I could. But I cannot. Why? Because to me, it is NATURAL to be repulsed by male genitals. We often talk about homosexuality as an attraction to same sex, but that is not fully correct. Homosexuality can also mean being repulsed by the opposite sex, and there is nothing one can do to change it. Arguably, one could force themselves, but is that life? Forcing one self into something that is unnatural and unsustainable? Be real here, whomever would do that. There wouldn't anything holy in living a life like that. We might not be rejected, as Rabbi says, but we are left out in many other ways and I explain why: adultery is a sin too, as Rabbi says, however adultery (as long as it's hetero) is more accepted than homosexuality, and Rabbi knows it. Everyone knows it. An man that cheated on his wife with another woman, may get divorce and re marry and still be kosher. Adultery is a temporary sin. Homosexuality, something that unlike adultery is NOT a choice, is a life-long state of sin. And that's not fair, that is why I say we are left out: because it feels as if we are marked from the very beginning.

My questions is, how is a person suppose to just shut down their attraction to the same sex? I can't shut off my attraction to women.
I don't see how sin is more natural. Bestility is a sin, who naturally wants to have sex with animals? How is incest more natural, most humans are not attracted to their siblings. Nobody had to tell me incest was wrong.
In order to avoid inbreeding, humans and other animals develop a strong sexual aversion to individuals with whom they have lived closely in infancy and early childhood (usually biological siblings), a phenomenon called the “Westermarck effect” or negative sexual imprinting.
Even animals don't like to do incest, you think that's because animals sit around reading Torah? Homosexuality is not natural, if enough people did it, it would be the end of the species.
Life doesn't try to extinguish itself, that doesn't make sense what he's saying. Every animal has an innature desire to survive, homosexuality and incest would prevent that natural desire to survive.

If a man is born gay and is orthodox, you could bring him 100 women and he won’t be attracted to any of them, so he can’t marry them. But man isn’t supposed to be alone. If someone had a disability that left them with the inability to process any food except pork, then we’d be talking about something similar.
Also it is not natural to be attracted to your brother. If a man has bad genes his pheromones will release a scent that triggers a woman to make him smell like her brother. And because of that, she won’t be attracted to him.

What is "natural" for one person is not natural for another. I am heterosexual (born that way) but know people who are gay (also born that way), It is natural for me to want sex from women just as it is natural for gays to desire to have sex from other men. This is how we were born, how God created us. Studies show that approximately 12 percent of the population is homosexual (which, by the way, also shown in the animal kingdom). Does this mean that what the 12 percent desire is unnatural? Are you defining the word to mean what the majority do? Or were they created to be unnatural? This whole discussion seems a bit bizarre to me and has led to so much violence against guys. Judgments against other groups about their differences have also led to violence, the most obvious being the holocaust. Jewish leaders should be expressing tolerance, not intolerance.

So I would have to interject here and say no, it is not more natural to have incest and homosexuality. Take wolves for instance. In a pack they do not ALL mate with each other, only the Alpha pair. So, if you go by wolves and other natural beings with higher intelligence it’s is NOT natural. And if you’ve ever had a female, intact dog you know how strong her scent is and the natural desire for intact males to mate. So while the Rabbi makes an interesting point. I don’t agree that it’s more natural to tend to be incestuous and homosexual. I believe it goes against nature otherwise the species would not survive. But people, unlike animals are able to process sex differently and use it for pleasure rather than proliferating the human race.

Maybe that's the point: "be fruitful and multiply" is the command; there's nothing commanded to seek pleasure. Pride has gotten humans in trouble since their creation.

I admire the Rabbi but I don’t agree that homosexuality is generally more natural. It is natural - but only from the perspective of those who have this predisposition and feel attracted to the same sex, which is a few percent of human beings. If there cannot be found any explanation why it should be a sin to act out what is in your genetics (and for those who believe in a creator - being actually created like that) by mutual consent with an other adult without harming anyone then I refuse the idea of it being a sin. Being a good person and being homosexual and acting it out is no contradiction, because homosexuality defies moral judgement and is neither good or bad. Saying a homosexual act is a sin is like saying you are not supposed to use your eyes because they are blue.
